alrighty now that i've actually paid attention to song titles while listening to perverts i'm gonna say i think my favorites are punish and onanist, and idk why i have not seen the latter mentioned by anyone else because it's genuinely so good. like i too love the spoken word performance of pulldrone, but onanist is so beautifully composed, it deserves more love

#etienne and thatorchia are also just fantastic together but i think they work best when not removed fron the context of the full album #i feel similar about perverts and pulldrone where i just don't think they really work if you treat them as standalone songs #(arguably they aren't even songs in the same way that a piece of soundtrack isn't a song and performance art isn't a song)#(which to be clear is not a bad thing at all and i really appreciate both of these pieces but mainly as the intro to and heart of a whole)#ethel cain #music
