Strength of Character

Character is the combination of ethical and moral qualities. Someone with good character is bothered about their ethics and moral standing. They live by their moral standing and won’t tolerate those who don’t.

Someone with strength of character will always choose to take the moral high ground with the strength to stand up for their beliefs. It is when we meet with difficulties that we find, strength of character.

Strength of character is pushing forward, rather than withdrawing; not living in denial, or ignoring the negatives. If you’re ignoring the negatives, you’re in denial and that has nothing to do with how emotionally strong you are.

Building mental and emotional strength is character building. Mental strength forms the foundations for having genuine self-confidence. Through a strength of character, we become more self-aware. Mental strength will help us reflect and that’s good. Without reflection we may never have strength of character.

Though we may not always be in a position to change the situations we find ourselves in, we do have a choice in how we respond and that has everything to do with strength of character.
