#sounds funny but applies to at least two and possibly all three of the ships I'm fondest of#Sam and Richard are the ones I'm doubtful of; I think they might both say it with the ee sound and not the i sound#gibbs/ducky are obvious one is american the other from the uk#ethan/hunley are less obvious but i believe hunley uses the i sound#(i have no direct citation but i have watched all of 30 rock multiple times so i think my impression of alec baldwin's accent is accurate)#and fun fact this applies to me and my girlfriend too lmao#she says it one way i say it the other#i just think it's neat
