I remember when you were first talking abt getting chickens that it was a concern of yours to have girls with really feathery feet since their feathers could get clogged up with mud and other bacterial crap. Is that a concern for Anzu?

it definitely is! 

I weighed a few factors when deciding on a chicken breed - quietness, poor ability to fly, and a calm temperament were VERY important, and Cochins fit that to a T

the big downside is those snowshoe feet! it’s easy for muck to get caught in them, and if that muck freezes during the winter, that’s potentially quite dangerous. to help with foot health, my run at home will have sand as the substrate (it desiccates droppings, and rasps against the feathers to help clean them). I’ve also resigned myself to administering spa sessions when necessary

despite the downsides, I don’t regret my choice. these hens are every bit the Quiet, Peaceful Queens I hoped for

hi! is there anything that you've written out about your ocs/versions of the trolls? i really love your art style and the little comics n doodles you post and i really want to know more about your stories n headcanons.

All my ocs have their own name tags with stuff I’ve made.  the HS origin ocs I have are Saturn, Ezekiel, Caelus, and Kai.  Also Sylvester but he’s the OG from years ago. 

This is going to sound weird but I don’t really think about my stuff as headcanons. I just do my own thing, I don’t really care about the original characters all that much compared to what I make.  Like imagine I’m a 5 year old who takes a godzilla action figure and uses it as a dragon protecting a castle.  It’s not a Godzilla headcanon it’s just what I’m using Godzilla for, aka being Rhododendron the Great and Mysterious or something like that.

-different frequencies and speeds. (3.) I have a ridiculous amount of worlding building about the Carnival and what goes on there but I'll just toss in the most basic fact: purple blooded wigglers are often mistaken for sea dwelling ones by lusii. This leads to sea dweller lusii adopting purples and then later on abandoning them when they realize their mistake. Because of this, the Carnival began to take in abandoned wigglers and raise them themselves to ensure the next generation.

2. vIBRATING TIDDIES FGHJKJHGFGHDJKJHGF OKAY THIS IS TOO FUNNY OF AN IMAGE FOR ME TO EVER TAKE IT SERIOUSLY. However, I do subscribe to the headcanon that trolls can make a bunch of different noises, tho for me it’s related to Weird Vocal Cord Structure and maybe another thing in their throats

I headcanon 1. that troll horns can actually grow back! Since they're not apart of the troll's skeletal structure, I figure they can heal if they're broken or chipped (2.) The whole 'rumblesphere' thing is actually a stretch of translucent material beneath a troll's breast, giving the appearance of two crescent shapes being cut into the bottom one's chest. The material is made of the same stuff as a cicada's tymbal, and allows trolls to make lots and lots of noises by vibrating the material at-

1. I’m kiiinda in the same area but not too much. I imagine that troll horns continuously grow as they age and are sorta like rodent teeth. Shaving them down (or breaking them for those who are broke) is something that A Lot of trolls have to do eventually. However I’m a fan of broken and chipped horns so vbmdbghjf sorry imma have to pass on this one.

I want to extend a massive thank you to all of you who have kept up with the story, especially for those of you who've been with me since it started as Blazing, god-knows-how-many-years ago! I had no idea the story would change so much and take so many years to get to this point, but I'm so overjoyed that so many of you have come to love it and the characters. I really never expected this much of a following and it means so much to me.

An especially big thank you to @katiek101, the OG beta for the story back when it was Blazing! I didn't realize how much of an amazing help and pal she would be when she reached out (5???) years ago on Blazing to offer to be a beta/lend an ear to talk about the story, and she helped me improve so much as a writer. And thank yous to my current betas and buddies, @chicago-poet and @etchesonstones - they came in at a time when I was really needing beta help again and having a duo has been even better than I thought! I love meme'ing about the story with y'all and appreciate all the help you've given to get this story finished :')

he might be a little bummed, but overall jedric is a “go with the flow” sort of guy. if someone is interested in someone else or already in a relationship, he won’t pursue them. there are other fish in the sea
