Bringing back this bit from 12.06, and the first time Mary and Billie met:

Because I’m preparing myself for 14.17.

Billie: The look in your eyes, I've seen it before. It's a dead man's look -- eyes that say no matter where you go or what you do, it feels like this world doesn't fit anymore, like you're all alone. Dean: Well, she's not alone. Billie: Tell me I'm wrong. I'm not here to hurt you. I'm here to offer you mercy. A one-way ticket upstairs, away from all of this. Mary: How would it work? Sam: Mom? Mary: You just kill me again? Billie: Reapers don't kill people. Rules. Mary: Well... then... Then I guess you're just gonna have to wait. Billie: Winchesters. If you change your mind -- if any of you change your minds -- you know my name.

But also this bit from 13.05:

Billie: Since I got this... new job, I stand witness to a much larger picture. Do you know what I see? You. And your brother. You're important. Dean: Why? Billie: You have work to do. That's all you need to know. And trust me, having my eyes opened to the necessity of any humans, especially Winchesters, is not a thrill. So... you wanna die, but I say... keep living.

Because in 12.09, Cas included Mary under this Winchester Umbrella that he so recklessly incurred Cosmic Consequences for in killing Billie to save Mary. I’ve been waiting patiently to see Billie again since 14.10...

SAM: It’s time. MARY: What’s happening? BILLIE: Yeah, Dean. ‘Sup. MARY: Billie? CAS: The reaper? MARY: I don’t understand. DEAN: Mom… that place… there was only one way we were getting out of there, and that wasn’t breathing.  DEAN: So I made a call. SAM: Dean talked with her, and then Billie came to see me. SAM: And we made a deal. We’d get to die and come back one more time, but in exchange… BILLIE: Come midnight, a Winchester goes bye-bye. Like, permanently. And that is something I’ve been looking forward to for a long time. MARY: Why would you-- DEAN: We were already dead. Being locked in that cell with nothing… I’ve been to Hell. This was worse. SAM: At least this way, one of us gets to keep fighting. CAS: You don’t have to do this. BILLIE: Yeah, they do. We made a pact, bound in blood. You break that, there’s consequences on a cosmic scale. So, who’s it gonna be? MARY: Me. DEAN: Mom, mom. SAM: No. No. MARY: You said come midnight, a Winchester dies? I’m a Winchester. BILLIE: Works for me. SAM: Mom! DEAN: Don’t! MARY: [sniffles] I love you. [Mary is about to pull the trigger when suddenly an angel blade pierces through Billie’s chest from behind, and she falls down dead, revealing Cas behind her. Everyone looks suitably shocked, including Cas. Mary lowers her gun, and Sam and Dean get to their feet.] DEAN: Cas, what have you done? CASTIEL: What had to be done. You know this world-- this sad, doomed little world-- it needs you. It needs every last Winchester it can get, and I will not let you die. I won’t let any of you die. And I won’t let you sacrifice yourselves. You mean too much to me. To everything. Yeah, you made a deal. You made a stupid deal, and I broke it. You’re welcome.
