Do you ever get a sudden rush of love for your friend? Just the genuine love you have for them.

Like you’re chatting with them, nothing serious and they are talking and you are listening and paying attention. But in your mind, for a brief moment, it’s like time stopped and you stepped back a bit and for the first time you really truly looked at them, at their face, their gestures, their physical characteristics, how they wear their clothes or do their hair and for the first time you listened to their voice, the pitch, volume, timbre, tone, all their unique modulations, the way they talk sometimes only with you. It’s like for the first time all the inside jokes, knowing looks, experiences and information you share dawn on you in that very moment and like just now you realize that this unique and wonderful person loves you and accepts you for who you are.

And this deep affection you have for them consumes your complete being, swelling your heart with happiness and making you feel much lighter. And then the time keeps going again and you can’t help but smile.
