i do firmly think that the sole reason hilda is claudes retainer is that hubert & edelgard is f&m and dedue & dimitri is m&m so they needed m&f to balance it out

#i also think dedue shouldnt have been the retainer for dimitri i wish they made him recruitable just so like. he can have more agency :(#also i think three hopes was dead on the mark w making more characters route exclusive #especially wrt lysithea & mercie being recruitable in SB but not AG/GW respectively. thats just fun 2 me.#it makes some supports more interesting too... ferdie and lysithea ough #felix/ingrid for dimitri... lorenz for claude.... you see my vision
