me: [lists education & experience (bachelor’s in music, very good grad school, 5 years under an extremely prestigious opera/choral conductor) for a friend to refer a chamber choir conductor to me so she can drop out of said chamber choir]

friend/professional rival who, infuriatingly, gets chosen over me for EVERYTHING in this godforsaken town despite the fact that she has a degree in comm arts and a burgeoning career as a local jazz singer-songwriter: uhh.. shit man, you’re so much more experienced than me wtf???

me, who has definitely not been bitterly, furiously aware of this for 7 entire years: haha yeah i’ve been around

#like she is my friend and i love her #and also i want to launch her into the SUN #her voice is so lovely that people just #let her get away with so much musical inaccuracy and laziness #and it drives me absolutely fucking feral #like. for actual operas? fine yeah she has better stage presence than me #i can accept that #but i am 1000% the better man chorally #especially with chamber choirs doing actual goddamn music #UGH #i'm just so fckin annoyed #personal
