the funniest part of the concept of Hale returning to Typhon in some theoretical post canon is like
he is the poster child for life on Typhon being dangerous
literally in the first week with aerolith (according to his recollections) He:
-Suffered from complete unrecoverable amnesia
-Had to run for his life from? I don't recall tbh, this is the bit where I doze off when I turn it on to fall asleep
-Porter drops him on floor 13
-Severe Allergic reaction, caused intentionally
-develops auditory hallucinations
-Nearly disemboweled in the breakroom
-Porter decides to not let people save him
-There is living things killing him from the inside
-Nearly suffocates while running
-cuts off a pound of tissue
-made to murder two strangers
-shot I think? pretty sure security shoots him?
But yeah hey its better than working at walmart, Let's go back
#jacob hale#if I'm honest I tend to interpret it more as 'thats the only home Ive ever know'#like if you know nothing except typhon and all you've ever heard about earth is shit talk#actually going there would probably be pretty weird and jarring#definitely something you can get used to but if not enough time passes for him to acclimate before typhon becomes an option again#I could see him returning#especially when you take sayer into account like ofc that dynamic is incredibly fraught#but also its the only person hale knows that hasn't tried to kill him directly and who else really gets what he had been through
