op turned reblogs off for this but i wanted to share my two cents anyway re: goonboy

i don't understand for the life of me how he got to be so popular. he's a hack. ignoring the whole cultural appropriation thing of using the algonquin W monster folklore as some kind of channel icon (because sadly most people outside of here on tumblr don't care about that :/) my friend and i watched the "DISTURBING MOVIE ICEBERG EXPLAINED 😱" video to take the piss out of it because we saw his channel name and rightfully knew he was going to be giving the most lukewarm takes possible. this was before he got to be as popular as he is today

so, the very bottom of the disturbing movie iceberg contains stuff you're likely to see on liveleak. gore compilations mostly or other "disturbing" footage. IMO the deeper you go on the iceberg the more curious people get; it can't be THAT bad, can it? but they want to hear someone else talk about it so they don't have to watch it themselves.

goonboy didn't even talk about any of them... all he did was "soooo i didn't watch it because its super illegal" they're not. they are certainly immoral and disgusting but they aren't illegal under US law as far as i'm aware (not a lawyer). if you're too much of a coward to watch it just say that babygirl.......
