just because something has smut doesn’t make it a romance, enjoying something that contains “red flag” content doesn’t make someone a bad person

praising yourself for only reading “good” queer romances is weird, especially when you put down others who read things with problematic characters/actions

#romanticizing it is something completely separate #like it’s ok to like certain content! but to bash people for enjoying stories that contain elements you don’t is weird #and doesn’t foster a healthy community #especially on the clock app that is known to sic hoards of people on creators minding their own business #let’s also not forget that just bc someone’s recs something #doesn’t mean you have to read it #it is your job to look at tags and possible tw and make the decision if it’s something you want to read #and if it’s not move on!#don’t demonize someone bc they enjoyed it #i’ve read stories with dark content and enjoyed them but i recognized that relationship was toxic and they def should NOT be together #but like it’s fiction…it’s not real…it is not representative of the creator or reader #chats ☕️
