he’s developed a fondness for peppermint thanks to his favorite person. he knows what a special meaning it has for souta and in turn that makes it special for him too. he loves wearing peppermint scents just for souta like chap stick, lotion, shampoo, etc. it makes him happy knowing that he can bring back good memories for souta. not to mention that having souta lovingly smell his hair is a nice bonus ;v;

he managed to save a few pieces of his mother’s jewelry after she passed away. occasionally he likes to wear a pair of her earrings and there’s one in particular that he’s very fond of. they’re a pair of dangling pink rose earrings with a small pearl at the bottom that look similar to these ones. he doesn’t wear them too often, like most of her earrings, which is mostly because of how precious they are to him. he never wants to risk losing what little he has left of his mother, but he also treats them as more of a keepsake rather than fashion.

it’s not much of a secret but i’d say his intelligence in general is a talent lol he’s just so incredibly smart. he knows such a wide variety of information too. for example, he knows a good amount about gemology. he could tell you that the value of jade isn’t that of a big deal, but emerald on the other hand is much more significant. i’m straight up paraphrasing him bc he legit dropped that little factoid in one of the episodes lfjkgh

his knowledge expands across multiple fields so i’d definitely say that’s his biggest talent!

he is not a fan of hot weather. not by a long shot. honestly, he doesn’t do very well with any type of extreme weather. but the heat especially is really difficult for him, which is due to him spending the majority of his life indoors. it wasn’t like he was forbidden from going outside but he simply didn’t think to or want to because he was so dedicated to his studying and research.

hikojuuro actually had to initiate it and get haruka out of the mansion, otherwise he genuinely wouldn’t do it himself. so yeah spending 99.9% of his time inside that dark mansion basically destroyed his ability to take in vitamin d lmao

the heat gets to him very, very quickly and it’s not uncommon for him to become lightheaded and dehydrated if he’s in direct sunlight during a hot day for a long period of time. the heat also makes him far more irritable and weak than usual, but of course he does a good job at hiding that. although we know he lets it slip around souta sometimes and he’ll whine about how hot it is and how souta needs to marry him so they can honeymoon someplace cold.

haruka loves, loves watching souta play video games. even though video games are still a complete enigma to him, he finds it so fascinating to watch him play, especially since souta’s so good at it. he’s honestly amazed by souta’s skills jkfhks he can see how long souta’s been playing video games and how he knows all of the little pixel worlds so well at this point and that they also bring him comfort.

he loves curling up in souta’s lap and watching him go through the levels effortlessly and hearing him talk about the games with such enthusiasm. it might be silly to find it so amazing but he really does and he admires souta’s talent when it comes to games
