iwtv s2e6: SHUT UP about the talamasca i DON'T CARE about the talamasca i am not gonna watch your anne rice tv series universe. explode.

and. "this is too important a moment in our story for these games" YEAH! IT IS! SHUT UP!

like. most of the series is good (in terms of performance, production value and the bits of the story that aren't trying to sell me two other tv series; the tone itself oscillates imo [1]) but the few excruciating moments of each episode really stand out in my hater brain i'm sorry. can we talk about claudia instead of bickering please and thank you.

[1]: the tone struggle is kinda unavoidable when the book itself is pretty different from anne rice's subsequent vampire books, but the tv series is aiming to adapt it taking the whole vampire chronicles (and more) in consideration. maybe others don't mind it as much but i hate pretty much everything queen of the damned did so. 👍

#the fact there are two episodes left is curious...#the trial and death will take up most of the next ep but there isn't that much else after that in the book #esp since the way things are going louis hasn't met lestat in his fucked up state back in new orleans #and in any case that doesn't take up that much time either #i feel the last ep might be an extended cliffhanger or sth. definitely all new material #or rather. probably stuff taken from queen of the damned et al #the way i'd do it if i had dubious taste is go directly to the end of the vampire lestat. with the concert #except this time we're not following his pov so there's no context yet #this sets up lestat's own backstory as well as tying in the whole talamasca stuff so that season three shifts into the qotd realm #do NOT let me watch s3 if it gets made btw. only tell me about gabrielle's episode #iwtv
