Omg the amount of power I feel from learning how to carefully clean up and mend a granny square blanket
It's like magic except I know how to do it
#im fixing a blanket for my great aunt#and ngl when i first saw it i had no idea how i would go about it#i can fix knitting no issue#i do swiss darning on my socks all the time#esp now that im wearing handknit socks every day#but crochet??#esp a granny square blanket thats literally 50+ years old ????#*that* scared me lmao#i watched a whole bunch of youtube videos and read a whole bunch of articles yesterday and they all made it seem so easy#and i was v v unconvinced#i mean c'mon#granny squares????#easy to make. easy to unravel.#but no it really is that easy!!!#new skill fucking unlocked!!!#i have half a mind to make a post on facebook (yes ew facebook) to let my family know i can fix shit for them if they barter with me
