I've wanted to write a proper fic where the tables are turned and instead of Reader petting kitty Magolor, magolor pets and gives physical affection to the reader, but burnout and writers block and embarrassment have mostly stopped me but iys cute and its fluffy and whatever I'm throwing this into the wind, outline and.general thoughts I've had

Magolor is always happy to recieve pets from a trusted human with their giant warm hands with long, dextrous fingers that can scritch and pet in ways his own hands cant,

The first time he reciprocates would probably be around 4 - 5 sessions, citing that he "doesn't accept it for free" and that its polite to reciprocate and he wants to look at and examine your weird humanness more closely

OR

if he gets Jealous of His Human coming into his vicinity smelling like Other Fucking Carnivores. Originally in my deleted/reuploaded mag/reader fic this was gonna be a whole thing where the reader was friends with a bunch of Scarfies, and he got PISSED and basically marked the reader by getting super cuddly all of a sudden, the reader doesn't know because humans cant smell like that, and they try to hang out with their Scarfy friends who are like. Staying at least six feet away like "Ummmm. Did you get a boyfriend??? You've got DO NOT FUCKING TOUCH scent all over you lol"

I mean. I've been around mag/reader fics since I was like what, twelve? That sounds right, I dunno I can hardly attach a numerical age to kid memories ANYWAY I've SEEN. how many ppl write him as super possessive and jealous ESP fuckers who are horny for the crowned version you are all sinners none of you are free from sin. This cat is not well adjusted. Anyway

He'd start with your hands, taking them in his gloves, then he'd take his gloves off himself. His hands are smaller under his gloves but still pretty big compared to his own body. Still, though, I think they'd be about the size of a human hand, if Magolor himself is about the size of a backpack, since in official art it seems like his hands are half the size of his body?

I picture them soft and brown, scarred, with squishy pink paw pads on the soft parts of the palm and the last pads on his finger tips. He flexes them, and dark claws come out, relaxes, they retreat: repeat this a few times before he places his gloves neatly somewhere nearby, putting them there without looking or turning, hes already seen the room: hes looking at You, big yellow eyes, glowing a bit. White pupils all wide, taking you all in, making his eyes look lighter.

When he actually starts touching it would be more curious that affectionate, hed definitely be bending fingers and gently moving your elbows, not painful, just Examining, his skeleton is so different after all, and he has no limbs to speak of. he presses deep with his hands until he feels the bones underneath, puts his hands in different spots, on your shoulder, asks you to move and feels the bones move with. Takes a claw and runs it under your fingernail, just barely pressing in, not enough to hurt, just enough tto scrape out any dirt, remarks on how dull your claws are.

The readers own reaction would definitely affect his a lot. He really needs input from others to figure out how to compose himself, a calm and composed yet pleased reaction would fluster him more than anything as he would start to get embarrassed himself doing something so focused on another and yet, he would want praise very badly.

Teasing him would get teasing back:

He would call you silly names making fun of your human features if you teased him lol like "foot-haver" or "magicless loser" etc (he would immediately stop if you seemed actually upset)

but it wouldnt take much to make him into mess ;)

Any flusteredness or embarrassed behavior he will latch onto and tease relentlessly in order to feed his own ego and false confidence, somethin like:

"Hah! You should see your face" "does it feel that good? I havent even done anything yet"

If he gets called out on making petting seem .. less innocent he will accuse you of being the one with a dirty mind lol

The two possibilities here are either his human partner gets more flustered, which might go something like:

he starts purring at the reaction to his own touch, starts running one claw lightly along your arm. Presses up close, close with his head under your chin, purring purring purring, you can feel it and hes like a little furnace. Because he floats he can press his whole weight against a human with little effort, he presses and nuzzles then his hands find the back of your shirt and knead. His face he rubs along your shoulders and neck

OR the tables get turned on the cat egg:

Pointing out his purring, saying something like "you seem excited to do this, dont you? :)" Or commenting on how cute or lovely he is and keeping on doing it, hitting that reward center in his brain so starved for attention -- hed probably make a cute little sound at that -- or if a human touched him and started petting him while he was trying to give affection, that reciprocation would make him pull his scarf down and lick one long stripe up your arm.

I was thinking about Halcandran tongues: carnivores, yes, so barbed like a cats to lick the meat off bones, but: they're not exactly flexible like a cat, they can move but not as freely, they're not exactly egg shaped but still. So grooming would become, either something one did with ones own hands or, a communal activity, social bonding.

He would feel scratchy, his face soft: a lot flatter than a normal cat, he still has a bit of a muzzle but not much. The whiskers tickle, he pauses at the crook of your elbow, looks up at you, licks a few more times, pulls away a bit.

"You taste salty..."

If allowed to continue he certainly will, kneading and laving over the crook of your neck, nibbling curiously at collarbones before nosing into the dips they make under your skin, etc etc. He will examine the shell of your ear with a paw, purring close to it, will lick through your hair if it's short, it would be like fur to him; long hair he would comb through with fingers, hovering around you to nuzzle the back of your neck, purring all the while.

Eventually, he might get to your hands, and he would, well. I should stop before I make a post tha would get me banned from.tumblr, lol.

Mingjue is half Elven, but you wouldn’t think he was asides from the big ears, Huaisang is full ‘wolf; jgy is elven/dryad; Wen Qing & Wen Ning are draconic/waterfolk

NOW, for actual werewolf content

The way the pack works in Qinghe is still pretty similar to clans in canon, just slightly different

Mingjue and his direct family are the head family Of Course, and they secure this position via duels/fighting should another family want to take over; these duels are common under stressful times, but Mingjue has been able to keep it held down. 

The duels are like.....scheduled ahead of time, and are held in a secure area; the rules are that you can’t kill your opponent, that if you win you must treat the wolf who lost, + only the wolf who challenged the leader can fight, no one else (and vice versa, only the leader can fight) can join in, And More

like you cant aim for vitals, use teeth beyond taunting, fights cant be scheduled during/near full moons, and the fighters must choose whether they will both fight in humanoid form or wolf form

 Clan elders supervise the fight, and have selected specific soldiers that will help break up the fight if anything goes wrong; doctors are also on stand by bc these fights get BLOODY (esp w mingjue)

Huaisang nearly loses his position after pretty much being back-to-back challenged for his position, which instilled the rule that duels can only happen three times a year. He’s managed to win his duels with his own tricks, but they can still end pretty bloody

Ranking is not much different due to the clans wanting consistency (also im stupid and gay)

The nies end up becoming the most medically advanced due to how dangerous shifting is; they develop medications to ease pain, different magic stuff to control body temperature, etc. etc.

and actually the Nies are known for being pretty wolves

TYPICALLY a fully shifted wolf during a full moon aren’t the prettiest things to look at; most commonly their fur is patchy, their limbs are obviously distorted, faces look mutilated in a sense, all that

BUT, due to advances in cultivation & medicine they’re able to be calm after a shift, so they’re able to keep up w personal hygiene LMAO

Mingjue personally is almost obsessive with keeping his fur a certain way to be both 1. Handsome :) 2. intimidating as hell; he has the advantage of getting rlly thick hair from his Elven side, so his pelt is flush. but he also leaves some of it “messy” and puffed out for the intimidation bit

huaisang keeps his completely brushed n smooth and he’s usually nested in his bed when he shifts. he was also blessed with the fullness in his pelt, but his chest/belly and thighs are more ‘bare’ compared to mingjue.

they also braid what parts of the fur they can; mingjue and huaisang have LOTS of braids as usual

ALSO the most common pelt color is black with white/lighter pelts being on the uncommon side, second most common are dark creams/browns/reds with black snouts/heads/legs/etc. 

Mingjue has ruddy brown + black snout/legs/all that; Huaisang has brown w black ticked (i have NO idea what the dog term is for that, its like the tips of the fur is black??) 

both have bright amber/yellow eyes

ALSO THEIR TAILS...........

ok. PRIMARILY. they dont have tails in human form, BUT, it’s possible, and it’s something that puppies/young disciples will usually let show??

Mingjue ONLY shows his tail when hes in private with someone close, like Huaisang or Xichen, and he Knows they won’t be walked in on. He just has this Thing where he’ll be fucking humiliated if someone else saw it. he also has rlly long fur on his tail so its PRETTY, he just thinks its childish

Huaisang on the other hand kept his tail out until he became the sole leader of the pack, save for like, banquets he attended with Mingjue bc mingjue would tell him to Quit It.

getting rid of a tail is an hour long process so mingjue has to watch the time to get huaisang before they go anywhere

if theres no time to hide a tail, tuck it in ur pants so it doesn’t move and hide it under layers

just. a tail in humanoid form is a different context than just seeing it when they’re shifted, and again a sign of childishness.

puppy ears in human form can also happen but it’s discouraged heavily because of the possibility of damaging ear canals.

OH ALSO, another reason why like, the nie clan has that GIANT ass wall surrounding its city, is because they go on total lockdown during full moons. 

puppies are a fucking MESS to deal with, and they run like. constantly. If they’re still it’s because they’re either eating something or they’ve passed out from exhaustion. Huaisang was a TERROR when he was a puppy and mingjue still has a scar on his arm from when he went ballistic from pent-up energy

SO! There’s different parts of the city where puppies and young wolves can run around, destroy shit, eat whatever, wrestle each other, all that, and they’re HEAVILY supervised by elders/adult wolves who have better control of themselves during fullmoons

the only wolves who can leave the area during a fullmoon are Mingjue and Huaisang, and maybe like, a really well-respected elder or two, but that’s it

and despite popular belief this is actually the WORST time to attack Qinghe. Every wall is guarded, everyone is in a state where they can mutilate someone thats usually considerably stronger than them in human form, and Everyone is on high-alert whether they’re destroying a tree or nearly unconscious

theres also areas in the city sealed off for weaker/sickly wolves who are taken care of by capable adults, citizens of other species, all that

full moons aren’t hated in qinghe! they’re quite fun if you’re a werewolf; the areas for Going Ham are usually packed with different stuff u can mess with, you just have to watch ur back

they also aren’t that violent bc again, intense supervision by elders and the like; and they’re becoming more and more festival like with cultivation and medical advancement

then of course, the sword situation is still very much the same; my version of werewolves are like, slightly allergic to silver, but piercing one or having silver near won’t kill a wolf. the most it will do is give them a rash :/

all of their jewelry/accessories are made out of different metals because of this, esp since Qinghe is rich with that (+jewels/gems bc i love that hc so much)

THENNN i think last thing for now, they DO wear some form of clothing in wolf form, MOST of the time

typically there’s enough fur to cover privates, but its not unusual for there Not to be enough fur, so there’s specially made hanfu for full moons that are custom made for each wolf

basically being a seamstress in Qinghe will Get You Places, bc tears will happen, people will want them adjusted if they’re passing them to another family member, fashion choices, etc. etc.

Mingjue normally wears really simple hanfu and dachangs (the like, over-robe thing), but xichen bought him a specially made hanfu that he likes to wear during really important events, should he be in wolf form :)

huaisang buys new full moon hanfu every few months He Likes To Sit And Feel Pretty By Himself............(Or Maybe For Jiang Cheng If He Visits..........)

apparently flora’s original model was of an adult in the beta but they changed her to a kid n 4got to remove ulfr’s (tht 1 “p*do npc”) dialogue. also apparently as of a few days ago, his dialogue abt flora was removed, it seems? it took me 2 secs to look tht up bc i remembered smth was up w it. ppl rly dont do research huh.

the thing abt the voiceline where paimon n aether discuss if kaeya is lighter under his eyepatch n paimon says “what if ppl call him ‘pasty eye’!! tht’d a bad nickname” or w/e is just talking abt tanlines. they’re like “if kaeya has his eyepatch on 24/7 cuz we’ve never seen it taken off does tht mean he’d  hav an embarassing tanline in the shape of an eyepatch lmao tht’d make ppl laugh at him” (see the 6th point down for extra on this)

kaeya being described as “exotic” was ANOTHER odd translation by m!hoyos english staff (of fucking course) n has been addressed here in this twt thread. they meant he looks like a foreigner, basically, which makes sense as khaenriah is a special place tht isnt too like, known abt within teyvat (they also described dainsleif’s clothes as odd, iirc) so his clothes r prob a bit odd/special-looking to mondstadtians n, to quote the twt thread “he’s the only dark-skinned chara in a german-based region-- he looks like a foreigner.” the word in the og CN used was a word tht could apply to any1, n has been used by CN ppl to also just refer to americans in general b4. 

also iirc i’ve seen some ppl say it’s possible he could b south asian or smth? the webtoon n iirc a few others of his chibis portrays him as a bit darker but some other media of him just has him as a tan shade (see: his main art, bday art, kfc chibi, etc) so it’s like ??? is he black or darker asian or? there’s a possibility he’s just a Tanned Character, like the girl from nagatoro who isnt meant to be non-japanese she’s just tan from swim club but his webtoon/4koma appearances make tht seem like tht’s not Likely, but, at the same time, his main pose art n various other arts give off tht impression? like, it’s 50/50 w his art. in some he’s darker in some he’s just tanner. make of tht what u will.

[screenshot]” it’s the game’s Rly Fucking Weird Lighting System. the lighting gets rly bright a lot of the time n isnt the best lighting system ever but so long as ur in a place of decent lighting w a good angle the skin tones dont get fucked up as much. but certain angles rly can make skin lighter yes even for the already pale cast it makes their skin near fuckin paper white. dragonspine makes this worse by being light AND muting colors. some1′s already extracted the model’s data tho n shown tht xinyan’s model is the same skin color as her official art n there’s been other posted screenshots tht show she looks not as light in other areas of the world map n stuff. it’s Just The Lighting. this also goes for kaeya, n see the 4th point abt the whole debate abt his skin color bc he shows up lighter n darker in places idrk whats up w it.

so its my personal headcanons that, despite being the same person as their personalities develop (around the fitting in video) they begin to show some physical differences too. Yes this is based on how i draw them

ROMAN

 -so first off i like the idea of Roman being tied for the tallest at around 6’3”.

-hes also tied for the beefiest boy overall pretty intimidating stature bUT his friendly demeanor makes up for it

-he is definitely peak disney prince energy

 -his eyes also start to get more reddish brown

-in fact, if you look close enough, in a certain light you can almost see a bit of green around the edges

-hes got the second lightest hair color, being kind of a light coppery brown

 LOGAN

-logan is the second tallest at 6 ft even

-hes got the sharpest features by far, like this man’s jaw could cut glass

-hes got some muscle but its more lean than roman’s so he looks smaller but could probably carry most of the others with relative easy

-his eyes darken to a deep blue that gets lighter around the edges-in the sun they look very gorgeous

PATTON

-so patton is the closest to thomas and strays the least, physically

-his hair is more fluffy and wavy naturally and a lighter brown than thomas’ but still brown

-pat is the first one to break into that ‘unnatural differences’ via almost heart shaped pupils! Its the kinda thing you dont notice until someone points it out and then cant unsee. His eyes are a light vibrant blue

-hes around the same height as thomas right in the middle of the spectrum

 -physically he doesnt differ that much, maybe a little bit more of a dad bod but for the most part the same

VIRGIL

-so hot, take hes the second shortest, at 5’6”. I just love the thought of him being small but intimidating, esp pre AA

-he slouches though so he looks a little shorter than he is

-his hair is the longest too, its kinda shaggy and messy. Its debated in the mind palace whether its natural or he does that on purpose

-his eyes are a very pretty dark brown. He doesnt want to look super unnatural with that whole fear of standing out thing but hypothetically, if one was to get close enough (which hes very careful not to let most people do) and in the right light (again, rare) you might see very light flecks of purple

-physically he’s kinda on the small side but definitely makes up for it by having an intimidating aura

JANUS

-janus is the shortest of the bunch at 5’4”

-because hes so short hes very carefully constructed a reputation with his silver tongue of being scary despite his height

-hes definitely not above wearing heeled shoes to make himself at least virgil's height but will adamantly deny doing so

-hes also not super strong, but hes very agile

-he moves very interestingly, if you were to pay attention he walks almost with a saunter (think crowley from good omens, but toned down just a tad. Still very slithery)

-his hair is the most curly, very fluffy, very wavy, but always hidden under his hat

-overall he differs the most from thomas

REMUS

-remus is tied with roman for the tallest

-hes tall, beefy and looks like a rat, so pretty scary looking in general

-he also has that sharpness to his features that roman has but instead of handsome prince you get straight up maleficent

 -one of his eyes is unnaturally vibrant green, almost glow in the dark. Only janus has gotten close enough too see the red around the edges of his iris

-the other one is just a pupil but up close theres a faint ring of pale pale green vaguely in the shape of an eye

-honestly the more you look at remus the more wrong he looks, very uncanny valley
