REVAMPING CISCO’S BGA-REWORK HARDWARE LAB,BANGALORE

The Cisco Global Development Centre in Bangalore is the largest outside the US. It houses Cisco's Research and Development (R&D), IT, Services and customer support teams and develops disruptive business models for Cisco to create new go-to-market channels, markets, processes and technologies for emerging markets.

Handling electrostatic charge is something Cisco takes very seriously as any failure due to static charge can harm the final product that gets manufactured or tested and in-turn affects Cisco’s brand equity and image. All areas within Cisco which handle electronics components or any static charge susceptible items have been declared as ESD (Electrostatic discharge) Zones, and guidelines with proper auditing measures have been drafted for employees to follow if they enter such areas. Messung has set up an impressive ISO 9000 TUV certified manufacturing facility in Pune to produce world-class ESD and non-ESD workplace systems. Industrial Automation

Work is on apace at Messung's exclusive R&D and manufacturing centre for industrial automation solutions, and they hope to inaugurate the same in the first quarter of this year. MESSUNG AND ITS 'MAKE IN INDIA' JOURNEY

Today, 'Make in India' is quite the buzzword. Initiatives like Make in India, Digital India and Startup India have given the much-needed thrust to the Electronics System Design and Manufacturing (ESDM) sector in India. Complemented by government schemes such as Modified Special Incentive Scheme (M-SIPS), Electronics Manufacturing Clusters, Electronics Development Fund and National Policy on Electronics 2019 (NPE 2019),India has shown remarkable progress in this sector.

Messung is proud that it embarked on this journey four decades ago, fired by its own passion for indigenous innovation. In fact, the company was established in 1981 when the founder, Mr. Farook Merchant quit his steady job with an electronics company, to start developing India's first indigenous PLC. In 1983, Messung launched a 1-bit processor-based Programmable Logic Controller that revolutionised industrial automation, replacing the traditional relay contactor logic in use at the time.
