Hey. How was Erwin's birthday? Did anything interesting happen?
Tumblr media
"I actually had the day free to celebrate it, which was unusual," Erwin smiles at you. "I can't say we did anything too ostentatious but it was an enjoyable evening. Sometimes a simple dinner and time away from the office is just the refresher that you need." "There was a wonderful fall festival in Trost," Hange smiles. "Because Mr Stickler here decided to do some errands in the morning, we didn't go until evening-" "Which was better because it was quieter," Levi interrupts with a flat stare. "We could hear our own conversation." "It was quite peaceful, to be fair," Hange continued. "And admittedly the fall decorations looked wonderful at sunset. Trost was ablaze in orange and reds and..." they sigh happily. "It was gorgeous. And they had such interesting little stalls. Even Levi bought something." Levi gives a small shrug. "They had some interesting teas that weren't going to cost an arm and a leg," he murmurs. "Some aren't half bad either." Erwin smiles at his partners. "It was a very relaxing evening. It reminds me what it is we're fighting for."

"This is quite accurate." Erwin remarks, lifting the glass of beer to his lips. "Especially the look on Levi's face," he continues. "His eyes look quite beautiful when he's surprised."
Next to Erwin, Levi's hand lightly covers his eyes. "That's because you both swoop in randomly. It's like you're fucking psychic."
Hange grins and leans their head on Levi's shoulder, arms wrapped around his shoulders. "How can we resist such a thing though, Levi? Our little grump-grump is too sweet to kiss."
"Stop trying to make "grump-grump a thing, Shitty Glasses," Levi growled. "I'm not some whinging toddler."
Hange cackles. "It's true I don't have your flair for insults, Levi," they agree before leaning in to kiss the corner of his lips, their grin widening as a blush spreads across his pale cheeks.
Erwin puts his glass down and also slides an arm around Levi. "There are worse things in the world than being loved."
"Tch, the smell of cheese in here is sickening."
"Shut up and accept the kisses, Shorty."

Gave up on my himym comic bc I desperately needed some pre-war shenanigans, and a @mello-jello post is a great way to break out of a funk 😅
Plus I think we can all agree that Erwin fan or not, he kinda deserves it XD

oo i have an art idea if youre still looking for them! erwin and armin playing a board game or erwin mentoring armin like teaching him about strategy stuff. can be called "the commander and the commander" or something haha.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I actually love this topic, and i'm VERY SORRY I'M SO LATE AAA But i love the idea of Erwin teaching strategy and war tactics to Armin and listening to his reasoning and the new visions he's bringing to the table like a proud parent. It keeps me alive so much... I wish we had more moments like these ;v; I'm keeping the board game idea for another day ! I'm sorry though, my Erwins are very ugly... XD

how was the Ackerbond debunked exactly? It is a thing
Wrong, it was never shown to be a thing to begin with, it's just some weird ass theory the fandom came up with and than ran with it lmao.
1. It was debunked when it was mentioned that the Ackermans literally turned against the king when they started to disagree with his view thus causing the king to hunt them because he couldn't control them. They turned on the king, if this bond was real, they would've followed blindly.
2. Eren lied to Mikasa about her being a slave, Zeke also debunked it and in my opinion that "Ackerbond" shit should've ended there and never brought up again.
3. The fandom for years has always stated how the Ackermans awake their powers because they find their "master", debunked even before Bad Boy it was said that Ackermans awake thier powers when in a sense of danger. Bad Boy just confirmed what we knew for years, Levi and his strength has nothing to do with Erwin, same with Mikasa.
4. It's creepy as it gets, people think it's romantic for some reason, it's not, it literally promotes the idea that Levi and Mikasa had no free will and would bark when Erwin and Eren tell them too, extremly degrading to both characters.
5. Levi made a promise to Erwin to avenge him and the rest of the scouts. It wasn't revenge driven as people think, Levi had plenty of time to off Zeke, he didn't. That promise was Levi's respect for Erwin and all the comrads that fell that day and before that. He even says himself "all of you".
6. Eren and Mikasa do NOT relate to Levi and Erwin, I don't get where people even think they do. Levi saw Erwin as his guiding light to help people, he believed in Erwin and his vision for the better of humanity. Mikasa was in love with Eren and vice versa, they are not the same. Erwin did not mean to Levi what Eren meant to Mikasa, they aren't compatible at any level.

One thing ACWNR anime did better than the manga is Erwin's "I need him" face when seeing Levi for the first time.
You mean this face? Honestly iconic. The fandom did a re-draw challenge of this cap sometime ago and it was glorious.
Tumblr media
This precise scene doesn't appear in the manga (I think???) but this one does and it's equally magnificent.

If he wasn't cold hearted and had some thoughtfulness he would have remembered or talked about Farlan and Isabel in flashbacks even after their deaths. But he acts as if they never existed, let alone died. The idea of opening an orphanage and taking children from the underground was Historia's idea, not Levi's. Levi just approved and supported it. The fact that he cares more about the tasks/orders than you, erasing your importance to him, does not mean that he will only throw you to option 2, it means that he will be willing to throw you into the mouth of a titan without even thinking about you. Regardless of your opinion or consent. That's treason and considering his order follower, he'd even keep secrets from you. If that's not betrayal, what is? All this means that he is not very loyal and you cannot have a healthy relationship with him. He is also very prejudiced and high-minded. For example, he dislikes weak people and generalizes every rich person as a greedy asshole. This is not the perspective of a thoughtful and caring human being. If Levi had a romantic relationship trope, it would be toxic relationship. I think any real man or fictional man would be more considerate and loyal than Levi. This must be one of the reasons why Isayama finds it strange to even ask "women?" about Levi and women. It is pure speculation to think that he would have a healthy and loyal relationship with him. To realize that be a better person than Levi, you either have to touch the grass and meet real people, or you have to stop being stuck in a fandom and look at other series/fandoms and discover the characters there, and get to know people and characters who look stoic like Levi, but who have more realistic potential to be more thoughtful, selfless, loyal, who will value you as a priority than Levi.
I'm feeling so lazy to write a huge answer so I'll keep it short.
Isabel and Furlan were shown in the OVAs and just like how the stories of other OVAs weren't mentioned in the main anime or manga, the topic of "no regrets" OVA was neglected too. That's a commercial thing in my opinion. But the one time when Eren, Mikasa and Armin were talking about the sea and Levi was listening to them quietly with a sad mood, that represents Levi remembering them.
About the orphanage, you yourself said that Levi supported it XD, so you admit he helped Historia too even when Levi got no benefits from it.
About the next fact, I truly disagree. That's a thing Levi would never do. He saved Mikasa twice and in the female titan arc, he even twisted his ankle. He will never play with people's life, he even hated Erwin because he used to do that. He has always hated "unnecessary" deaths. He would never throw a person into the titans mouth unless the person agrees and wants to die willingly for the betterment. Imagine Erwin is planning you to die in a process and he has no intention of telling this to you (though I don't think so he would do something like this) and Levi knows about this. Do you think he'll support it? If you still think so I would suggest you to re-read the manga and rewatch the anime, you haven't understood Levi's actual character yet.
In the battle of Shiganshina, he told Erwin that he'll charge towards the beast titan, ALONE (he didn't even care about his life, he was thinking about the life of his comrades) just so the others will be able to escape easily and later he supported Erwin's plan because since that was a situation were everyone was about to die. He thought by this he'll at least be able to save someone. Saving some life is better than everyone dying. He even tried to stop Hange (silently) when they sacrificed themselves. He saved Connie and jean in the final battles and lost his leg due to the process... You would still say that he would throw you in a titan's mouth?
Also you say that hiding classified plans and information is a betrayal? That's hilarious, dear. He would do it for your safety. What if someone kidnaps you just because you know about the plans? The less you know, the better. Just because you are the girlfriend of Levi Ackerman doesn't mean you can know about all the plans and classified information. Fix your morals.
Also dear anon, did you just say he hates weak people? When he fought during his whole life just to save them, the weak humanity from the titans????? Also I support Levi calling rich people "greedy assholes" because most of the rich people in AOT were actually described as "greedy assholes".
About the last topic we both know Levi is a "Famous as hell between women" character. That's why Isamaya never mentioned anything about Levi's sexualities and romantic interests. Also dear Isamaya likes to tease us so what you mentioned isn't something important.
At last I would like to say that Levi avoids being close with people. But once someone becomes dear to them, he'll do his best to save them. Sure he won't be lovey-dovey or sweet as sugar boyfriend, but he'll definitely support you and silently will show his love for you. We all know he's bad with his words so he'll show his love through work. He's a mature person after all!
That's it anon, have a nice day!

do you think hanges death is unnecessary? Considering some people were unsatisfied with her conclusion?
No, I don't think Hange's death was at all unnecessary. Beyond just the practical necessity for her death, buying the alliance time to get off the ground with the plane, and thus make it to the final battle against Eren, it also made thematic sense for Hange to sacrifice her life.
I understand people being upset at Hange dying, but given Hange's insecurity in her role as Commander, and her sense of failure as Commander, and also given the theme of duty and sacrifice that runs through the entirety of "AoT", and how Hange's ultimate sacrifice reflects and mirror's Erwin's, it makes perfect sense for her character to have gone out the way she did.
Levi specifically says to Hange that she "sounds like him" when she starts talking about whether their comrades are watching and whether they feel proud of them, and Levi delivers his line with an obvious sense of grief and despair. I think one of the main themes of "AoT" is the tragic aspect of duty and of how having a sense of duty to something often destroys people. It destroyed Erwin, with the way he was torn between his personal dream and his duty as Commander, creating in him a deep sense of self-loathing, and we see the same thing, tragically, happen to Hange, not because she's torn between a dream and her duty, but because she feels she's failed to live up to Erwin's example as Commander.
I think Levi is maybe the only one who realizes that tragedy, which is why he looks so sad when Hange makes her decision to die. I think Levi views the pressure to live up to the duty and expectations placed on oneself, either by oneself or by others, as something regrettable, again because it can destroy a person. I think Levi's ambivalent feelings about his comrades sacrificing their lives to the cause of the Survey Corps, because they felt it was their duty to do so, is rooted in that, too. Levi wished they could live in a world where nobody would have to feel like they needed to give their lives to any cause, because, after all, Levi values life above all else, and he wanted to see people able to live. That's also, I think, why Levi looks so despairing while the other members of the alliance are forced into battle against the Yeagerists on the dock, because they've been forced into this sort of duty to stop Eren, and it's forced them to have to kill people they once considered comrades and friends. It's a total tragedy. "AoT" often frames duty and obligation as such, as something tragic, and Hange's death falls right in line with that portrayal.

If the humans from AOT got to spend a day on Earth, what would they do? I bet Sasah would hit as many restaurants as possible, Armin goes to a library, Levi would go to a cafe with tea options, and Mikasa asks to see the Annabelle doll in person.
This is definitely going to come up during the New Age Anthology and a future chapter, but Jack, Miko, and Raf are going to take our cast out for a vacation on Earth. And there are a few things I have in mind:
Obviously for Sasha:
Tumblr media
Everyone has to pull her back and get her to calm down
Levi takes one look at the cleaning aisle and faints face first. He's later in a cart that Hanji is wheeling, filled to the brim with cleaning supplies.
Hanji tries to break into anything science related. They do hear about the Area 51 situation and ask if they can raid it. Other than that, they will tea for Levi while he's passed out.
Jack: Hanji we can pay-!
Hanji: SSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHH!
Armin can swing both ways. He can either be enraptured by the new sights, the nature, or he could just settle down in a library after a long day. Erwin would probably be in a library all day. He did try to watch the news but it's too much information all at once and he can't handle it.
Annie goes to a bakery...pretty straightforward. It takes a lot of convincing to get her to leave.
All the TFP Kids need to do for Onyankopon is take him to a fast food place near and airport and watch all the planes land. TBH that would excite all of them.
Mikasa, once she actually comes back into the story and feel more comfortable being open again, will ask to go see the Occult Museum in Connecticut.
They take Willy to see a musical, much to Miko's horror.
Kenshin gets to see Japan and is reminded of Hizuru. He doesn't like playing the Shamisen, but he does asks if he can buy one here because he wants some reminder of his old life.
Historia actually loves the outfits in the malls and gets a brand new dress. Ymir loves jeans. She might have managed to steal some. Jean joins on the shopping spree. He wants to look good for the ladies.
Gabi, Colt, and later Falco (he will come back in. Just give me time.) are just shocked to be treated like normal kids. They're allowed to have so many options and get all these fancy gadgets and foods just because.
Pieck sees a tattoo parlor and tattoos the names of her fallen comrades onto her body, happy that she no longer has the ability to regenerate so it's permanent. Everyone else see her and follows suit, either tattooing the name of a loved one on their body, or they get a tattoo of the Survey Corps emblem.

First of all, I am so glad to see you back! I missed you dearly. And there is something I am curious to know: Hange, have you ever conducted any kind of an experiment on Erwin or Levi? If yes, would you be so kind as to tell me the details?
Tumblr media
"Brownie points to anon for an interest in science!" Hange exclaims with a hearty thumbs up. They plant their hands on their hips and look thoughtful for a moment. "I have definitely run social experiments on the two of them. To answer things like who gets more jealous, who gts more tetchy without their caffeine in the mornings, you know? That sort of stuff." Hange pauses and frowns as they reflect on one particular experiment. "Depriving Levi of his tea for the morning was a dangerous and unforgiving experiment. Let's just say that I do not think that it was worth it after seeing the depths of his foul mood all day. Pretty sure the 104th were pissed at me for two days."

Girl you gotta show us a Pinterest inspired aesthetic board of what the characters were wearing at the party. (If you have it)
Okay, this took a while to answer because I did not in fact have a Pinterest inspired aesthetic board of what the characters were wearing at the masquerade.
But when I saw this, I thought, “I should make aesthetic boards of what the characters were wearing at the party.”
And so here we are!
1. Mikasa
When describing her dress in this week’s chapter, I didn’t describe it as clinging to her body which means it was a flowing dress. It did have a slit too. Mikasa also had matching gloves and a mask. Sasha did her makeup!
Tumblr media
2. Eren
Eren didn’t attend the masquerade to have fun or anything. He wanted to sneak into Rod’s home. He didn’t have time to think of what color would look nice and what wouldn’t.
So he settled for all black like the emo kid he is.
This board features that annoying glass of non-alcoholic wine Armin gave him.
Tumblr media
3. Armin
Armin was going for a more classy, casual look so he went for a white shirt and black pants. He also brought along a jacket incase he (or anyone else) got cold and accessorized with rings so he wouldn’t look too plain.
At the masquerade, he ate a concerning amount of chocolate-hazelnut cookies
Tumblr media
4. Sasha
Sasha attended the masquerade to eat good food but that didn’t mean she wasn’t going to slay while doing it.
Tumblr media
5. Connie
For some reason, green just seems like Connie’s color to me. He didn’t want to go for a regular mask so his only covered one side of his face. He also added some really cool rings to Sasha and Mikasa’s cart when they ordered their gloves.
Tumblr media
6. Jean
Jean, I imagine already had his outfit lying around. He just slipped it on and managed to look cool in it. The highlight of the masquerade was definitely his dance with Mikasa so that was included in this board.
Tumblr media
7. Historia
You may see Historia’s dress and ask me, “how the hell did she fight Eren in that?!”
And the answer to your question is, “she’s simply a badass princess.”
Tumblr media
8. Erwin
Erwin had the audacity to attend the masquerade looking as hot as an angel on earth and ask Hange why everyone was staring at him.
Tumblr media
The last two characters weren’t present in this week’s chapters but there was no way I was going to make mood boards for others and not them✋🏽
9. Hange
Hange wore a regular face mask unlike everyone else and still managed to look like the coolest person in the room. They also spent a lot of time at the open bar in an area separated from the ballroom chatting with Levi.
Tumblr media
10. Levi
There was no tea at the masquerade but somehow, Levi found a cup. He didn’t really want to be there but Erwin managed to convince him to go and Hange bought a mask for him.
Tumblr media
And that’s it for now! This was fun to do actually so thank you @mslizsteele-stories for this ask. If there are any other characters you would like to see, let me know using the ask button!
For those who may need context, Read “A Thousand and One Lifetimes” today✨
Thank you!❤️

In 2014 there was an exclusive ‘interview’ with Jean’s character, released as a collab between a Japanese phone carrier and AoT. A lovely person translated it here.
It has some JeanMarco gold. I’ve summarised it all for reference.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
——
Jean on why he chose the Scouts:
He didn’t initially want to be a Scout, but after Trost he was thinking about who would be next casualty.
He imagined how he could have saved Marco “if I was just there…”
Jean on Marco’s death:
Jean felt “indescribable regret and responsibility.” He knew him and Marco were in different squads, but he finds himself continually thinking that Marco would still be alive if he had just “been with me.”
Jean on his and Marco’s closeness:
Marco was someone who really knew him well, “we’ve really been through a lot together.”
Marco gave Jean encouragement “all the time” during their time in training. Jean admits he always felt upset and down after any kind of mistake. During those times, Marco was “the one who stood by me.”
When Jean rambled about things, Marco was there, quietly hanging around at his side. Marco would say affirming things like “is that so…” and listen to all of Jean’s problems without fail. Marco was always there for him.
Jean on Marco’s personality:
Any time anyone was hurt, Marco would be upset by it. That was just the kind of person he was. Caring.
Even when Jean would tease him about being a perfect student, “Marco would just smile and nod.” Jean admits he has no idea why Marco would ever be friends with someone like himself, “who’s selfish and self-centred.”
Marco never got mad at anyone. To Jean, Marco was good, “someone who’s too overly good, I might say. He had that ability to see through a lot, but still believed in the good bond and spirit between people; always looking after the interest of peers. That’s how he was.”
——
The interview was short, and only had time for some select topics that were obviously key to Jean’s character and personality.
The entire first half of the interview has to do with Marco:
His choice to join the Scouts (courtesy of Marco); his guilt over Marco’s death; how close he was to Marco during their training days; his take on Marco’s personality.
The second half is broader:
His thoughts on Mikasa and her beauty; if his family is alive (yes); his relationship with his mother; his love for omelettes; his impression of Armin and Erwin; and his ideal world without titans.

which event would each aot vet participate in the olympics
I'm not gonna lie and I'm gonna straight up admit my ignorance here: I don't know anything about the Olympics and I had to research which disciplines there are lol
So this may be off and even wrong but, based on first glance and pure vibes, I'd say:
Levi > boxing
Hange > fencing (also think equestrian would fit though)
Moblit > diving or marathon swimming
Nanaba > climbing
Mike > I know probably weight lifting and stuff like that would probably be the most natural thing to say but I just get strong cycling vibes from him, especially mountain bike. So mountain bike for him
Erwin > golf vibes from this guy (or archery, but I can really see him all focused on golf and planning every move and next step)
