vat7k designs in my head...

i thought their canon designs were a eensy weensy bit Unpolished so i made these mostly for myself. erm if u rly want it i think varian is 19 here, hugo 19, nuru 18, yong 12.

i also made rhem all playlists and had to draw them a cover so thats what the last img is I linked each of em under my notes for all of em... Under the cut is Like a Huge Infodump of notes i have for each chara,,,,,,

i kept varians design basically the same, i dislike the design w the orange neck thing so i just Nuked it😭... Here's Varians playlist

Hugos design i just wanted to put him in something more Loose. hes a thief, a professional escape artist. i dont think wearing clunky metal is ideal for him. i also gave him a prosthetic arm (blond w no arm design trope!) but u cant see it in the ref so i added another drawing of him in his under layering👍 i vaguely referenced russian(?) clothes for him as well... Yeah not too much changed w him i just tried to make him slippery-er. Here's Hugo's playlist

yong came relatively easy to me, if it wasn't obvious i did rip gaming from g*nshin's hoodie. i thought the lion hood was Adorable and freaking perfect for what i had in mind for hos character. since the og notes said the fire kingdom is loosely Chinese inspired i basically just kept that. i mashed tgt a buncha diff dynasties though sorry for how inconsistent i was... i think he looks Okay. anyways i changed yongs role a bit, ill explain why im adjusting some of their roles later but i kept yong as the Jinx Type character. hes the eldest in his family and has a buncha younger siblings, hes a lion dancer and does performances w his family/siblings. he rly like special effects n keeps tryna incorporate his fireworks into their performances (it flops and he has to sew up the dmg) ill explain more of yongs role in another post maybe shrugs... miss nuru was a bit of a struggle for me i might share my full design process with her coz i did a Bunch of mockups for her😭😭😭... i didnt have a specific country of reference for her but i chose to make her vaguely south asian inspired. i also really wanted to keep the sheer fabric w the star / constellation map. i love that idea its so cute so shes still technically the navigator. but she also wields a sword too, fencing or whatever. (her and varian r Huge Cass fangirls which is probably why she started tryna use a sword (snuck out to watch cass compete) Okay ill talk abt this later) in my head, okay ill Probably make a whole nother post talking abt how im interpreting/writing each chara, but in my head i think nuru is the youngest and her kingdom's archivist. shes mostly in charge of like Her kingdoms history / artifacts / etc. ok im getting too side tracked ill save the lore dump for later but thats Nurus role in the party. uhm below i made their character stats mostly to help me with planning / role developing. the yellow is their base stats the color behind is their end stats i guess. i was gonna explain my reasoning for their stats but ermm this post is kinda Really long so sorry😭... varian max int for obvious reasons, also max charisma just coz i feel like u kinda learn a thing or two being around a couple manipulators and spending time in jail idk shrugs... (also lets not forget the "ud b surprised what ppl would do for a cookie!") Hugo slippery guy, if a brick is thrown at him as hes running hes gonna try n run faster to shatter it, his mindset is Run Run Run! i think hes relatively agile too but yeah mostly a Speedster. i think he n varian got no Physical strength varian maybe just like A little coz Farm boy but I rly doubt quirin is making him do a Lotta heavy lifting. yong has incredible stamina and agility because hed a performer. nuru is the strongest coz this team would literally Flop without a proper Offense😭... i think varian n hugo r able to outwit plenty of their opponents but i think nuru is pretty good in a fight, same w yong. funny thing. I made her get along with like. half of the phighters which is funny. Dunno what to say abt her and other characters ERMM!!!

Wgat a silly fella. Not like she got kidnapped and got like kind of. Tortured. (by subfart). Subdpace wanted to experiment on her but like she could attack!! Idk. Uhhh. Well. And she tried to escape. Which explains um some of her scars. And her mouth that was kinda slit recovering.. And it also dxplains abt the wound on her waist. If you look st her relationship (As in interaction) with medkit, he healed her basically. I think subspace's crystals weren't so strong. Yeah...,....,... I dont think she kinda cares abt it anymore

Shes aware of the cult since she lives in Lost Temple and makes sure to avoid it..

I srsly don't know how ppl think of ocs for anime like... I have 0 fucking clue how to think of a cursed technique or power or whatever for my ocs cuz?? the possibilities r literally endless?? and I'm not creative enough to think abt that stuff, I fear, LOL. I even had trouble designing her cuz I wanted to make her feel like she belonged in the world 😭 but jjk having alt (I rlly don't like using this label) characters kinda helps? cuz now they don't look out of place that much?? dk

also she looks like kirara's sister or knockoff or something... I'm not sorry.. kirara is js so me fr so ofc we similar🤞

ALSO also I did not realize the lines on her wrists r similar to sukunas ☹️☹️ I just wanted to give them bracelets (cuz I wear some all d time) but I don't think bracelets would fit in the whole context yk. so I gave her wrist tattoos instead 😎 I might change it or add another line so it won't look as similar.. cuz I fckn hate sukuna no one could ever make me like that guy.

I got some other designs for her outfit n I was rlly debating on skirt or pants... I'll do both y tf not... next time I draw her it'll b with the skirt outfit trust!!

I rlly rlly want to come up with a cursed technique for her but I fr have no ideas..... pls if anyone has some spare ideas... 😞

It was June, the fresh breeze of Busan was caressing your skin while you were admiring the view from your best friend's house.

The little pastel pink dress was dancing in the air like your long black hair.

-Heeei Y/N!!!!!! Wanna go to the beach?

You turned around, facing your best friend and nodding happily

Her name was Jimin, she was the same age as you and you both met at the cafeteria where you worked.

She had a contagious smile and the prettiest eyes you've ever seen.

You quickly became close, like family. The fact that you both left yours to follow your dreams in Seoul connected the two of you even more.

Grabbing your bag, you quickly followed Jimin and spent the morning at the beach.

Jimin's aunt was a lady in her 50s, her mother's big sister.

She was a beautiful woman, always with the perfect outfit and makeup on point, at the beginning, you thought she was kind of scary, but the more you got to know her the closer yo her you got.

She was funny, always making silly jokes or fooling with her servants (yes she was super rich too!)

and you spent hours talking about her past loves.

The three of you hugged tightly like you haven't seen each other in years when in reality only a couple of months passed from your last visit.

You laughed happily and went to the living room to drink some tea.

The villa was stunning, the marbles floors and walls were shining and everything was perfectly placed.

The red curtains were open, letting you see the beautiful view of Busan.

Auntie had a passion for interior design, and her house was luxurious but not too much, it was really classy with some of the greatest roman's statues reproductions.

She also had a passion for literature like yourself, so she let you take some books from her personal library that were on the first floor of the villa.

The sky was dark, and you could admire the stars from the big villa's terrace.

The wind was still blowing, and the cold hair of the night made you regret your decision of not taking something to cover your bare shoulders.

Auntie bought you a long dark pink dress, with a deep v neck and a bow on the bottom of your back.

It really was beautiful, but you wished to have something more on.

Jiminie, on the other hand, was wearing a long strapless red dress that emphasised her curves.

It has been the worst day ever!

A client just got mad at you because the cake was finished, you spilt at least 3 coffees on the floors and your boss almost fires you.

You couldn't wait to lose the cafeteria when two people entered

You never looked at them, but automatically went to get the coffees ready

And in that moment you saw him, his little smile and his loving eyes who were looking at you.

He seemed tired, he has probably bee working all day..

With him, there was Kiseok, a really good looking man that kept looking at his watch

And from that night, every day at 18.30 before the cafeteria closed he came in ordering a slice of chocolate cake and an americano. He sat near the window and stayed there for 20 minutes before going back to work.

Sometimes you talked, about his job and about yours..his dreams and yours.. it was nice, you thought.

He was, unlike his public image, a sweet man who dreamed of a family and a nice house in Seoul and one at the beach.. a daughter and a son to whom he would have taught English as a second language; a nice wife who would have attended his concert and danced with him on and off stage, someone who could stand  him and his crazy lifestyle.

Jimin's voice brought you back into reality

-Y/N, you have no idea

-What??

-He's here!! With another super hot man and Kiseok!!

-Are you talking about Jay?

Not answering you, Jimin grabbed your hand and walked with you in the big living room where you saw him, wearing a black suit and looking around with Kiseok and another man.

Your eyes finally met and you saw he was surprised to see you there too.

Auntie probably saw everything because she didn't lost the chance to excuse herself from some guests and approached the three and walked to you

-OMG they're coming here...what to do Y/N??????

You were so shocked that no words left your mouth, and when auntie finally made the formal introductions you were able to murmur some disconnected words

The three of them just went away while Kiseok was scolding Jimin for being maybe a bit too savage.

He offered his hand and you followed him at the villa's terrace where no one was.

You didn't know what to think, still shocked from what just happened and strangely happy that he was there, with you.

You suddenly something warm on your shoulders and turned around to realised he placed his jacket on you to protect you from the cold hair.

-Oh.. it's just the dress

-No I am pretty sure it's you..

Looking away you bit your lower lip and you felt him getting closer.. you looked down and hoped that the dark night would have to hide your blushy cheeks.

You felt like your heart stopped for a moment, and then you looked at him not understanding what he really wanted.

It was like one of those morning kisses, where you just woke up and you're almost still sleeping but you want to kiss your partner to let know him how much you love him even in the morning.

Those sloppy kisses were your favourites, slow and caring.. it let you taste his lips and memorised it so that you wouldn't forget him during the night.

You stayed like this for what it seems like hours, couldn't get away from each other..couldnot get enough from each other.

You heard a voice calling you from the villa and you saw auntie from the windows calling for you

-Y/N!!!!!

-Yes auntie!!!

You didn't bother to get away from his arms but stayed like that founding yourself incredibly comfortable.

-Y/N, is Jay there??

-I am!!!

-Cool, I'll get a room ready for you, Y/N wanna stay here you too with Jay??
