Hiii Thank you for asking this question! I realize it's not clarified in the rules, so we'll get that updated. 🔥

We ask that fics for Eris week either be 1) new or 2) an update of a previously written work (ex. a part 2 or a new chapter)!

HOWEVER, we are more than happy to reblog any previously written work. We try and scour the Eris tags for content, but we're not perfect and the algorithm is often not helpful. If there's something you'd like us to share that's Eris related (writing, moodboard, art, fic update etc) you can tag us on the post or dm this blog with a link to your post and we will reblog ❤️

Hmmm, I think he'd prefer to be a girl dad, because he'd be so afraid to perpetuate patterns if he had a boy. He'd still be scared to end up being like his father, but it might feel a little better with a girl. Sorry 💔

Lots of songs, but The Night We Met by Lord Huron is just as achingly melancholic as I imagine Eris often feels inside (and I can imagine the angst of it is Azris-related). It's also the song I used as inspiration for the one Azriel wrote Eris in Words We Use in the Shadows!

👏 - I’ve written more fics for Eris week than I initially thought I would. And at the same time I have time to finish my Sunday chapter for Red Ferrari.

👏 - I overcame my one year long write block to write that Azris fic. And I’m doing good, not feeling like my writing is bad like I used to. So, good job 🫡🥰

🐶 - @nocasdatsgay I’m in love with your Neapolitan bonds series! That was one of the first things I read when I joined acotar fandom on tumblr, and the way you write these characters >>>. Also your Neris so so good, so gentle, soft, sweet😭🫶

🍁 ⇢ What’s the most challenging part about writing or creating for Eris?

To keep him in character, to keep his traits and don’t accidentally change his behavior throughout the narrative. I struggle with it for most of the time with many characters honestly. I’ve read acotar long time ago and don’t remember many many things from there, only some key points that tumblr users remind me. So it’s hard for me to remember and know what would he do in this situation, or in that. That’s actually why I haven’t written any big fics in canon universe.

🔥⇢ When did you first start liking Eris as a character?

I have a really weird journey to love him.

I found his character interesting from the beginning, but couldn’t say he was my favorite right away.

After ACOWAR I was in c.ai and randomly decided to check what acotar characters are there. and Eris’s prompts were interesting, there were few bots but still. That’s when I’ve got first Eris x OC ideas, got really fixated on one of them. And then ACOSF — I was head over heels for him. Dancing scene? Gold. Every witty comment from him? I’m on my knees. Then I’ve read a lot of fics, reread the whole acotar series and my love only deepened.

Tbh, I’m a sucker for every sarcastic ginger in every piece of literature. I just thought that in acotar it would be only Lucien, but Eris is just my love now. My favorite character, my baby, my darling.

We're looking at mid/late March, but definitely by the end of the month. Last year we didn't give a ton of time to creators, so we're looking to announce much earlier so folks can get started sooner.

And transparently we want to coordinate with the Azris and Neris week organizers. We typically come after them event week-wise, so there's some fun opportunities to complement their theming!

I'd say that he's so secretive, which means that a lot of the story ends up happening in his thoughts. It also makes it so that there's a difference between his outward personality and inner persona, and it can be challenging to unify those two, yet still keep them separate.

"Mirrors" could be good, because it can both be literal (helloo nsfw 👀) and allegorical. I'd love to see a Rhysand&Eris fic that explored them being each other's mirrors!

Ohhh tough one, I’m so bad at this topic tbh. so anyone correct me if I confuse the concept😅

but I think he is more an anti-hero. I imagine him not giving a damn about any other court or ‘saving the world’, he just wants to protect his own court and his people, but he doesn’t care about anyone else. he is not completely villain as protagonist, no. he does have hero’s qualities that will be shown towards, again, his people.

100/10, I see so many creators posting about their plans for erisweek and I am so so excited!!
