The key phrase for the New lunar phase is “set a new intention for the month” - not anything extreme, just a good habit we think we can establish in one month’s time.

I have a few inspirational quotes in my devices’ “Photos” section. One of them, from Jana Stanfield, is perfect for this New Moon:

I cannot do all the good that the world needs. But the world needs all the good that I can do.

Combine this attitude with “Think globally, act locally;” and “Do what you can, with what you have, right where you are;” and you’ll have a good handle on this energy. It can be applied to health, to getting our acts together, and to giving service.

There aren’t any really close major aspects to the lunation - everything is a little wide. One way this could manifest is that we’re free to set our own agendas without a lot of outside interference.

As for intermediate and minor aspects, there is an exact sesquiquad (135°) to Eris Rx/Aries. This can throw off our timing. We may take on too much, and then get angry when we don’t make any progress. We may feel like we want to “do” our intention without any help, which may not work out well in the longer run.

One thing to remember, though, is that most of the rest of this lunar cycle occurs during the “shadow of the eclipse.” It’s best to keep our intentions on a small, personal scale - we shouldn’t start some grand quest at this time, because it may end up in a very different place than we anticipate.

Historically Inspired Netflix Anime Yasuke Fills Out Its Cast With New Japanese Teaser Trailer

  Yasuke, the TV anime inspired by an African man who served under Oda Nobunaga in the 1500s, released a brand new teaser trailer today for Japanese audiences and revealed the Japanese cast for the series, which includes half-Black, half-Japanese actor Jun Soejima in his first anime role as the titular character in Japanese while Lakeith Stanfield voices Yasuke in English.

    The Japanese cast includes a wide variety of actors, including those seen in live-action productions (Jun Soejima), and even in their debut roles in Japanese media (Kiko Tamura):

  In a war-torn feudal Japan filled with mechs and magic, the greatest ronin never known, Yasuke, struggles to maintain a peaceful existence after a past life of violence. But when a local village becomes the center of social upheaval between warring daimyo, Yasuke must take up his sword and transport a mysterious child who is the target of dark forces and bloodthirsty warlords.

L’originale miniserie storica creata da LeSean Thomas e MAPPA arriverà in streaming dal 29 aprile.

Netflix ha svelato il cast nipponico di “Yasuke”, pubblicando la versione giapponese del trailer uscito un paio di settimane fa.

L’originale serie animata, prodotta in collaborazione con LeSean Thomas (Children of Ether, Cannon Busters, The Boondocks) e lo studio MAPPA (Jujutsu Kaisen, Dorohedoro), sbarcherà in streaming sulla piattaforma il 29 aprile e sarà composta in tutto da 6 episodi.

È arrivato dall'Africa e ha lottato a fianco di un potente signore feudale nel Giappone violento del ‘700. Lo chiamavano il Samurai Nero ed è diventato una leggenda.

Il protagonista si basa sulla figura storica omonima: Yasuke era infatti un samurai di origine africana al servizio di Oda Nobunaga. Nella versione ingelse della serie sarà interpretato dall’attore e rapper statunitense Lakeith Stanfield.

Kevyesti maagillisessa vaihtoehtotodellisuudessa afroamerikkalaisen Cassius “Cash” Greenin (Lakeith Stanfield) elämä Kalifornian Oaklandissa on yhtä ankeaa kuin se voisi olla meidän maailmassammekin. Cash elää enonsa Sergion (Terry Crews) autotallissa, vuokrat ovat rästissä jo monen kuukauden ajalta ja autonakin on vain enolta lainattu ikivanha romuläjä. Taiteilijatyttöystävä Detroit (Tessa Thompson) toivoisi Cashilta ainakin pientä parannusta elinolosuhteisiin. Televisiossa WorryFree-yritys mainostaa elinikäistä ruokaa ja majoitusta työpanosta vastaan väkivaltaisen tositv-ohjelman mainoskatkolla.

Sorry to Bother Youn takana on pitkäikäisen, poliittisesti aktiivisen The Coup -hip hop -yhtyeen johtohahmo Boots Riley. Elokuva oli ollut tekeillä jo pitkään ennen kuin lopulta päästiin kuvaamaan, mistä kertoo jo se, että Coupin samanniminen albumi julkaistiin vuonna 2012.
