Perhaps Fangs was dealing with some kind of depression before meeting Sascha, and masked it with that always calm demeanor.

Vampire stories tend to be melancholic, and thinking about how old Fangs is, and that they likely haven’t had a partner for a while, if ever, before, I could see it.

Would also explain why Fangs was willing to go out of their way to help Sascha, even before the whole situation with her bf(soon to be ex) came to light. Also why they fight so fiercely to defend her(see again, her ex)

This is just the brain dump of a woman who is way too sleep deprived, so take all with a grain of salt.

My headcannons for the PEN: ( mainly scales)

Scales :

- probably does does drugs in substitute of alcohol ( probably with bb)

- Closet consists of relaxed clothes ( e.g. baggy cargos, vests, work out clothing,caribenas VERY CLUTTERED), shiny ballroom competition clothes, and anything fangs gifts to them and a tonne of jewellery on any given occasion

- has secret hybrid friends they protect from the pen ( from the same abandoned hospital) ( likely now dead) ( scy- " you recognise some of them ?! "- S2 finale)

- immigrated to USA to get more money for the family after their mum died

- socialist

- started to like scypher when they first danced together

- only recently realised that BB meant Big Bad, not bb like baby

- is a secret and unknowing,very distant relative of the dragon General from former lovers. Thus why their dna stuck so well

- absolute kleptomaniac

Fangs:

- romantic goth

- occasionally accidentally starts speaking in another language to sascha when tired etc.

- has done so much crime they refuse to acknowledge because " I wouldn't do that" " that's illegal ?!...why?"

Hand in hand, they ran through the moonlit forest, their laughter echoing through the trees. The weight of politics and responsibilities melted away with each step. Eris led her down a familiar path, their destination a serene lake that had witnessed many of their secret moments over the years.

As they reached the wooden bridge that spanned the lake, they slowed to a stop. The night was clear, the sky a tapestry of stars reflected on the still water below. Eris lay down first, pulling Y/N down beside him. They stared up at the glittering sky, the cool night air brushing against their skin.

The path to the secluded lake where they used to meet seemed both familiar and foreign after so many years. Her heart pounded with a mixture of fear and hope as she approached the deck where Eris waited.

I don’t see enough love for Eris Serenity. Eris is an incredible writer and the world she’s built with her PEN series is one of the best I’ve heard in a long time. I don’t even typically listen to F4A audios but her characters and world building dragged me in.

Plus she spins the norm on its head by having the LISTENERS be the super powered ones. We got a Werewolf listener, a Vampire listener, a DRAGON SHIFTER listener. And all with complex backgrounds and personalities and love interests that just feel REAL.

It’s a shame to see her swept under the rug when in my opinion she should be counted as up there with Castle Audios and GBA when it comes to her writing.
