literally had an existential crisis/Delulu moment after watching the final episode like what do you mean I just finished AOT ? What do you mean im not getting more Reiner screenshots? We have at least 1000 more FINAL parts left right? RIGHT?!

Another aot fanart, lol. I fr had this anime in my mind for so long, I love the characters 😮‍💨. I just happen to rarely ever draw them for some reason. (I'm mainly an oc artist) I do plan on one day drawing them again... Or maybe the others.

Am i crazy or was it very reminiscent of Dune?

I don't want to spoil things but how did people not like the ending?

How different was the manga?

AoT Thoughts

 So, with the new season, I’ve been thinking about Attack on Titan again, and watching video’s and wow, people when talking and theorizing about this story give Eren way more power and influence over the story than he really seems to have. 

 A big thing is, the Attack Titan. There seems to be a real chicken and the egg situation going on with the Attack Titan’s tendency to fight for freedom. Do they do that because they represent Ymir’s desire for freedom, the thing she supposedly died trying to achieve only to be shafted by becoming a slave to the coordinate, or because Eren was sending memories and feelings all the way back. Was Eren always going to get the attack titan because of his desire for freedom, or does the attack titan fight for freedom because Eren was the last to have it. Taking in the whole thing, though, it seems obvious that it’s the former. The gaining and giving of memories to titan shifters is hardly comprehensive until Zeke and Eren in the coordinate at the end. It’s mostly very spotty. Even Grisha didn’t really know what Eren was going to do, just that it was bad. he wanted him stopped, but couldn’t do it himself, because this story and these characters are chained to destiny, to a future that almost none of them want. 

 And ultimately, I think it comes down to Ymir. The Founding Titan. All she wanted was to be free, to not be a slave anymore, but even in death she was stuck in a hell realm where she is always working, where time both drags and doesn’t move. Outside time, slaving away. 

 But, in a way, Ymir did get freedom when she died, because when she entered the paths, she surely knew. The shifters send memories through time. Surely with all that going on, all the time, she must have caught it. Seen the end. She just had to wait, and do certain things, and eventually Eren Yeager would arrive here. And so she got to work, like she always did, and eventually, he did. 

 We have no proof that Eren Yeager did anything more than what was necessary to do the rumbling, because he didn’t want to, he knew it was wrong, but he knew he HAD to do it because it was the thing the was supposed to. Eren did the bare minimum that he had to, so that he could start the rumbling, and let his friends kill him. With the powers and knowledge available, he could have flattened the world and nobody would be able to stop him, but he didn’t want to do that, he wanted freedom. And the Rumbling was that only way that was going to happen, because it was not only the only thing that would get the world to leave them alone for a bit, but also because it was the best way to end the titan curse altogether, giving Ymir her freedom. So it was always going to happen, because it’s what Ymir died for, to be free. It just took 2000 years. 

 Honestly, I don’t know how anybody thought she was going to make any different choice than the one she did. The girl has artistic sensibilities, uses motifs, she can obviously think for herself. Hell, she even seems to play favorites, titan forms aren’t created equal. I mean, just look at Bertolt’s titan compared to Armin’s, his is a basic ass colossal titan, Armin’s is unique. Hell, she gifted him with the absence of ears. Must have thought Rod Reiss was a real douche-canoe.
