5 - What activities do they enjoy together? - Zora loves to explore and just... experience new things. More than once, she’s taken Muriel on an adventure through Vesuvia. Though they’ve lived there for years, it’s still a large city, no doubt there are places they haven't seen. - Once they both get to know Nadia, you can bet that Zora’s going to explore the bougie side of town where the nobles live. It’s also an excuse for her to see Muriel in some fancy clothes. Muriel’s a bit put off by this but Zora’s charisma is terrifyingly high. - At first, he’s extremely uncomfortable but his worries are put aside by Zora’s smile and a firm hand in his. They end up splurging on the food in the area with the funds that Nadia gave them. Muriel decides that he really, really likes the flan from the high end bakery they went to and, even more than that, Zora’s face when she’s enjoying herself. It’s not too often that she gets that sparkle in her eyes, after all.

8 - What were their first impressions of each other? - Muriel first met Zora as a child and he was terrified. It was winter and he and Asra were freezing under the docks after Asra used up a bit too much magic on a prank. It was his first time meeting a magic user other than Asra and, on top of that, she came out of nowhere. - He softened up after she used her magic to warm them up, though. 

22 -  If their lives were what was originally intended at birth, would they have still fallen in love? - Honestly, probably not. Zora was set to take her father’s place as Court Mage before she and her aunt were forced to flee their homeland. The only way they would have met would be if she became a travelling scholar, like her aunt. - Muriel wouldn’t have wanted anything to do with her and she wouldn’t be able to remember him, anyway. - If somehow they met, and she found a way to avoid Asra’s charm, she’d probably be confronted by him while searching for the Heart of the Forest.          - She’d want to record everything she could about the perython. That’s just how she is. - Muriel, being the protective person he is, would try everything in the book to stop her. - Definitely has the chance to be a slow burn enemies to friends to lovers fic, tho.

17 - What senses (sights, smells, feelings, etc). remind them of each other? I headcanon that Zora’s magical scent is warm honey, so Erin would smell it wafting off of any enchanted item she’d been gifted. - The feel of the air after lightning strikes is also reminiscent of her. The powerful thrum that lingers long after the initial burst of energy is so perfectly Zora it’s almost like she’s there. - Erin would remind Zora of a breezy summer day, just the right temperature for her to relax. Summer nights where the cicadas are so loud you can’t sleep also fit the bill. - Fields of wild flowers and plants that somehow grow in the middle of the city remind her of Erin as well.
