erikawithac replied to your post:How did those of you with tattoos find the place...
yelp might help but a lot of the time artists move shop to shop. trustworthy referrals are best but walking into a shop, checking out the atmosphere (is it clean? is it sketchy?), &then looking through the artists’ portfolios works too
Do they think it's weird if you check it out and then leave without making an appointment, or is that an expected thing?

this is really important:
YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO EAT.
YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO EAT.Â
In realsocialskills' extended discussion about finding things that are easy enough to prepare and eat when you're low on spoons, someone saw the post and all the replies about ordering pizza and eating high-calorie and gave suggestions about "healthier" choices. here are two people's responses to that (definite tw for disordered eating, depression, health issues).Â
Their stories are so important, especially this part of sandwichocracy's reply:
I added my story because I wanted to help illustrate the point that when you are having trouble eating and in danger of starving IT IS OKAY TO EAT PIZZA AND ICE CREAM AND COOKIES AND NUTELLA AND FAST FOOD AND MICROWAVE FOOD AND FUCKING LARGE ASS COFFEE DRINKS AND PASTRIES.
Body-shaming and shaming people for what they eat are awful things to do. But you have a right to eat and it's okay to eat things that people consider too fatty or sugary or "unhealthy." People talk a whole lot of shit about Nutella being so bad every time it's in the room, but food isn't *good* or *bad* and foods that are calorie dense are just that: calorie dense. Not fucking evil, and not something to shame people for.Â
#this was kind of rambly maybe I'll make a shorter post#when food is too hard#realsocialskills#erikawithac#sandwichocracy#eating

erikawithac replied to your photo: Yesterday, I picked this up for a dollar
I love love love this book
Really? That's great! I use to see it often, though never really read any of the reviews or anything. But with it being pretty cheap and excellent condition (plus my interest in religion on it's history) I thought I'd get it. I'm hoping for good things.Â

erikawithac said: it sounds like it might be a panic attack. panic feels very different to anxiety and much more immediate &dire (a “sense of impending doom” is a clinical symptom of panic attacks). I have panic disorder so I can answer any q’s you might have about it
Yeah, I really have nooo idea...I can vividly remember the first time I got it - in a Target parking lot with my mom, just walking to our car, when I was about 7.
I actually have a panic disorder as well (finally started taking meds for it recently), which is coupled with anxiety, but this seems to be a completely different thing. Â It stops as soon as I'm inside - and usually just getting into my car helped. Â Not anymore.
Though I am certainly not ruling out panic disorders! Â Thanks for your openness :)

I really liked it. did you read the books? it’s a total change in pace from the first 2 and it’s very claustrophobic, emotional, and it sets up the Big Finish and I’m so excited
Yeah, I was super into the books and eager to see the movie. It just fell off my radar.
