to this day i cant believe how many people full heartedly dont want any kind of conflict or antags doing antagonistic things or even just well written, nuanced, realistic teenaged characters fucking up and making bad choices in HS. like are. are we reading the same thing. have we been reading the same thing. yall didnt pay attention in eng lit AT ALL i see

#my t #too many posts today talking abt 'eridan wouldnt say slurs :( hussie shouldnt write that thats bad' YEAH THATS THE POINT #eridan is fantasy racist!!!! of course hed say hemo based slurs!!!!???#and hussie thinking about hemo based slurs is good well thought out writing that adds to troll society as a concept???#if you want to write a class system in your story that has characters face oppression then you should populate it with vocab like that???#it doesnt mean youre doing an irl racism what the actual fuck are yall on about #and it certainly doesnt mean that HUSSIE is doing an irl racism #do any of yall bleed bronze or teal? didnt think so. hemo slurs are not real and are not 1:1 matches for irl slurs #some of yall dont know what worldbuilding is #my own high fantasy setting does in fact has in-world slurs in it!! bc i want that nuance???#i want to show my characters facing that struggle and also facing their own prejudices???? its just fucking worldbuilding #why do you want fictional oppressors to be 'nice' and know that slurs are bad and not use them #ofc they know slurs are bad thats why irl bigots say them #if u want a fictional society to be based on oppression you should think about the vocab and phrases that are included in that oppression
