I will be participating with these two pieces of the Substance series. Next collective exhibition AZIMUT / Visual lectures.
The Substance series is a scanned record of objects, memories and insubstantial vestiges of beings that for various circumstances are absent. Inspired by Aristotelian metaphysics, I seek to investigate the final thought of matter: in form and substance that interprets my thinking and builds a new reading of it. Aristotle said that in order to speak of being one must gather all possible meanings of being. Each element received and compiled reveals a history so that, according to my perception and the aesthetics of the scanner, I generate an artificial portrait of what was or is still, but in a different way. The intention is not only to capture these elements in time and space, but to give a collective memory to the object and how they can assign a new face and reading to be absent.
