For the pokemon au, besides the obvious crab and cat choices, what pokemon do you think karkat and nepeta will have?

im so happy to get asks about the au yay thank you! :DD!! Theyre about 8-9 in my au atm, so not ready yet to go on a pokemon adventure n catch whatever they please :)

Karkat's from olivine city and his dad is a fisherman so karkat would lean towards a party of fish for now! probably not a magikarp because he'd think theyre weak but a shellder would make sense. I really want him getting a kabuto before he leaves johto. Also i just have a feeling he'd get into a fight with a spearow and end up befriending it

for nepeta, her biggest goal is to catch a shinx, but doesnt know to play sinnoh music and catch one nearby. I think it'd be funny if there were a heracross that tries to protect her hoppip from something, referencing nep and eq in the comic :D n then nep catches it ofc. I eventually want her to have a sneasel or smeargle too :)
