#episode 7.13 Blood Giants

Spoilers Ahead:

I don't get the point of creating a really great character then really growing their character in a way very few shows do, OVER 7 YEARS!, only to completely destroy all his growth in one episode and then kill him off two episodes after that. It's not just aggravating it's lazy. It's not shocking or a twist it's just shock value for the sake of shock. I really thought the writing on the show was better than this, but they proved me wrong. I was fine with Bellamy and Clarke not ending up together. (Maybe not fine but I had accepted it.) But I thought at least if Bellamy died this season he would have died for his friends, for an actual reason.

Jason claims that this was keeping with the theme of the show but that's just an excuse. They could have kept with the theme of the show, of what you'll do to survive and keep your loved ones alive, and still have kept the character growth they've created over the past 7 years intact.

I'd love to hear what Bob Morley actually thinks of this but I doubt he'll say anything since as an actor bad mouthing his boss and showrunner would probably harm his career.

There are so many ways this could have been done better and that's coming from just a fan of the show, not even my inner "Bellarker."
