Orlando in March - What's On Around Central Florida
Orlando in March is a terrific month. Especially if you love food and festivals.
Music Festivals, Strawberry Festivals, Flower, Food and Wine Festivals and non stop Mardi Gras parties continue throughout Orlando in March
So what's the Orlando weather in March? It's pretty much great the whole month. Blue skies, little rain and lots of sunshine. Temperatures in Orlando in March bring an average high of 78 degrees and an average low of 55. It's generally summer wear during the day, with a light sweater for cooler nights.
Events around Central Florida and Orlando in March:
If you're quick you'll be able to squeeze in Rhythm In The Night, the latest Irish Dance phenomenon performing daily at the Busch Gardens Real Music Series, which wraps up on March 3rd.
MARDI GRAS AT UNIVERSAL ORLANDO
Orlando in March is party month at Universal. The party of parties continues at Universal Mardi Gras through April 7th 2018. There are 4 million beads thrown from 12 colorful parade floats accompanied by 85 street performers. There are live music every night and a tempting array of delicious cajun food.
Universal Mardi Gras is very family friendly and there's even a special viewing area where the kids can watch the parade.

EPCOT INTERNATIONAL FLOWER & GARDEN FESTIVAL
Orlando in March is the time of year when Epcot at Walt Disney World bursts into a whole new colorful world. Floating gardens, incredible topiaries, horticultural displays and demos, taste bud temptations and live music. The Epcot Flower & Garden Festival is pretty awesome! It runs from February 28th through May 28th 2018.

SEAWORLD SEVEN SEAS FESTIVAL
The SeaWorld Seven Seas Festival started February 17th and continues daily through April 15th. Live concerts and main events are held each Saturday and Sunday.
Take your taste buds on a culinary world tour. 12 booths will be offering Asian, Latin, European, Polynesian and North Atlantic dishes as well as craft beers, wines and specialty cocktails. BBQ will also be featured from February 17th to March 25th. Latin inspired cuisine will be featured March 31st to April 29th.
There's live entertainment every weekend with music from country, pop, rock and latin artists at Bayside Stadium.
So what's the cost for the Festival? Zero extra. The event is included in the regular SeaWorld admittance ticket.

If you're in Orlando in March and planning on a trip to Tampa, make sure you make time for Busch Gardens Food & Wine Festival. The event is held every Saturday and Sunday from March 3rd through April 29th.
There's a preview day from 3pm March 2nd featuring live entertainment from Florida Orchestra featuring the Mambo Kings
13 Food Cabins will tantalize your taste buds with 35 food items, over 65 fine wines, more than 50 craft brews and featured cocktails.

Kissimmee Cuban Sandwich Smackdown
The Cuban Sandwich is pretty serious eats here in Florida. Join in the fun as restaurants from all over Central Florida battle it out for the chance to compete in the 2018 “Best Cuban Sandwich in The World". The winner will represent Central Florida.
There's fun for all the family with over 100 Food, Art & Cultural Exhibitors. There will also be an attempt to create the biggest Cuban Sandwich in the World. The current world record is 150 Ft.

MUSIC ON THE BAY (MOTB)
If you like a rustic hang-out and live music, you're in for another treat over in Tampa.

CENTRAL FLORIDA FAIR
Orlando in March brings one of the States' favorite fairs. Founded way back in 1910, the Central Florida Fair is so popular it attracts an average of 250,000 visitors each year. There’s a ton of entertainment for all ages.
It’s no surprise that this fair is one of the top 5 in Florida. Its’ aim is to celebrate the agriculture, education, history and cultural legacy of the Central Florida states.
Watch creative arts such as food, baked or canned, decorated cakes and informative, fun demonstrations by top chefs in the stage kitchen.
Flowers, gardening, water conservation, landscaping, animals, veterinary hints and tips are all part of shared educational expertise.
Livestock on display amount to more than 2,000 animals
100 groups provide music and dancing on 3 separate stages.
Admission tickets start at $7 for a child and $12 for an adult.

CALLING ALL BBQ FANS: SONNY'S SHOWDOWN
The USA's top Pit Masters are heading to Orlando in March to battle it out in this epic invitational showdown.
The day will be packed with contestants going smoker to smoker to compete for almost $50,000 in prize money. Visitors can join in the competitions too - there's a kids donut eating contest and a rib eating contest. Watch cooking demos and enjoy live music.

FLORAL CITY STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL 
If you didn't get your fill at Florida Strawberry Festival, here's another event celebrating the sweet existence of strawberries. Floral City is just over 60 miles away from the vacation home area of Orlando/Kissimmee.
Children’s activities, a rock climbing wall, pony rides, entertainment and games will keep the youngsters happy. Leaving adults to admire the arts and crafts, antique car show and live music.
If you aren’t watching your weight, there’s also a pie eating contest.
And no self respecting strawberry festival would be complete without a ton of strawberries and endless strawberry shortcake. There's a Miss Strawberry Pageant too.
Admission is $5 per adult and children under 12 are free.

If the answer is “Yes”, then Pig on the Pond is a must for you and your family.
It has everything, Chili Cook Off, Carnival Rides, Racing Pigs, Wakeboard Competition, Paddleboard Demonstrations, Clermont Fire Department Burn Demonstration. And of course delicious BBQ that will have you drooling.

FIRESTONE GRAND PRIX OF ST PETERSBURG
It’s all very well watching cars roar round a circuit on TV. But for an experience to blow your mind, you have to be there. And what could possibly be better than watching the cars scream past you from yards away. Along the streets and round the tight bends of the City of St. Petersburg. The noise from the vehicles is wave after wave of crescendo and the smell from the fumes and tires adds to the heightening excitement. If you’ve never done it, give it a try.

DAYTONA BIKE WEEK 
If this event is good enough to encourage half a million bikers to visit, then you know it is in a class of its’ own. And you’d be right. It’s one of the biggest motorcycle gatherings on the globe and celebrates its’ 77th birthday.

Orlando Bike Week
What comes with Bikes? Brews and BBQ, of course. Food vendors and bars are supplemented with Bike Week merchandise at this thrilling event. If you like Harley-Davidson, this is the place to be. TASTE OF OVIEDO
This is more than a taste, it’s a three course meal with all the trimmings. The Citrus and Celery Cook-Off takes pride of place but is more than ably supported by a singing contest, the Kids Stage delivering entertaining acts all day along with other live groups and solo singers. School of Rock, a rock climbing wall, a ton of local goodies to nibble on, a car show and fireworks make it a 10am - 6pm show to remember.

MIGHTY FESTIVAL ST. PATRICK'S WEEK AT RAGLAN ROAD
Even the smallest town in the smallest country on the smallest island has an Irish Bar and Florida is no exception.
One of them is Raglan Road in Disney Springs, Walt Disney World.
Lively Irish music and jigs are par for the course in Raglan Road and the Irish fare is delish. Between them, they complement the great atmosphere.
Raglan Road’s Mighty Festival kicks off on Friday 16th March and features The Byrne Brothers, Young Dubliners, Elevation, The Maguires, Out The Gap, Reel Republic, Briste, The Raglan Roots Coalition and The Raglan Road Dancers

WINTER PARK SIDEWALK ART FESTIVAL
Orlando in March brings us a favorite for art festivals. Named America’s Best Juried Fine Art Fair, this hugely popular event is now in it's 59th year. Over 200 artists pitch up at Winter Park to showcase creative works of art. Over 350,000 people attend the event.
The kids will love the easel painting at the Children's Workshop Village. It's free for all ages and open throughout the festival.

Hello fellow EPCOT enthusiasts, and welcome to the EPCOT Music Showdown!
If you’re like me, you’ve been seeing brackets popping up everywhere for every possible thing, and you also probably have a deep appreciation for EPCOT Center. So, I decided, why not combine the two?
My one rule for this bracket was that to be included, the song/soundtrack had to have been written/composed specifically FOR EPCOT. Things that only played at EPCOT but were not made for the explicit purpose of being at EPCOT were not included.
This was mainly inspired by @disneyparktournament
