"Officer Janko," Emily called out as she saw the other pass by her office. "May you step into my office please?" she asked as she moved a stack of papers to the side of her desk. She was trying to clear some space on her desk so the other woman could actually see her face when she came in to sit across from her at her desk. "How's your day going, officer?" @myhcneybees

She had been feeling restless these past few days and was looking for something to excite her. That's how she found herself in the surf shop on the beach. Emily had only surfed once in her life and that was to impress a boy she met back when she was a teen. She picked up on it quickly and although it's been years, she figured it would be like riding a bike. Running a hand over a row of boards, she looked over at the worker with a smile. "Hey," she smiled. "Are there like boards catered to beginners? Or would any board work?" @bcttcrthanrcvcnge

@stxfan asked: "this is my first pride actually, i’m kinda nervous." | Stefan to (your choice)!
"Don't be nervous," she said, smiling. "Pride is a time where you can really be yourself... Judgement free." Emily was half working the event, half participating in the festivities all the while secretly hoping someone would get into some trouble so she could have a little more fun tonight. "I mean, unless... Do you have something you need to get off your chest?" she asked. "I'm all ears."

It wasn't often that Emily had a day off work but when she did, she liked to get out and explore the island. Today, she found herself at Naporia Playhouse. She was standing in line trying to order popcorn when she noticed the lady in front of her in line. She recognized her as one of the workers at the theater but it seems as though she wasn't working today. "Hey," Emily said, smiling as she grabbed her attention. "I'm surprised you're not behind the counter today. Do you normally spend your off days at work?" @cquity

“It is an island,” she said. “I’m not totally sure where exactly but I’m thinking somewhere north of the equator… in the Atlantic Ocean because of the weather conditions.” Emily traveled a lot growing up and due to her job so she was pretty familiar with places around the world. Although she’d never heard of Naporia before showing up on the island. “I wish I could tell you how you showed up here,” she said. “No one knows how exactly. We just show up here all of a sudden.”
Katniss had never heard of the name Naporia before so she had no idea what it was made of. It looked better than the Capital or even her District where they had next to nothing unless she hunted for it. Did they send her here on purpose? She was still guarded as the woman introduced herself. ''Is this an island or something? It doesn't look close to home. I just woke up here...''

Emily was sitting at her desk going through mountains of paperwork when she heard a knock at her door. Looking up over the stack of papers, she gave Jessica an anxious smile before glancing up at the clock. "Detective, is it time for our meeting already?" she asked, moving the stack of papers over to the side of her desk. "I'm sorry. I lost track of time. Please, come in." @myhcneybees

The Secret Ingredient | Closed starter | @hayl0fts
Still trying to wrap her mind around the encounter she had with a former teammate who died years ago last night, Emily found herself in line at a local bakery. She was picking at her nails, a nervous tic that has followed her from childhood, as she thought about Hero. They died... and now, suddenly, they were here on the island with her. It made no sense to her and she was almost positive that Hero was a figment of her imagination. It's why she drank so much last night and found herself with a hangover this morning. After popping an aspirin and chugging two bottles of water, she secured herself a coffee and rainbow themed pastry hoping that it would help cure her hangover. Scanning the room, her eyes settled on yet another familiar face; another old teammate of hers who had died years ago. This confirmed it for her. She was, in fact, losing her mind. First Hero and now Gideon? Emily thought she might need to take a few mental health days off work and go see a therapist. She obviously needed to get something off her chest so her mind would stop playing tricks on her. She had made a brief eye contact with her former teammate before she turned around, closed her eyes and took a deep breath. Hopefully when she opened them, he'd be gone and Emily wouldn't have to worry about her brain playing tricks on her any longer. Feeling a tap on her shoulder, she turned around becoming face-to-face with Jason. She let out a laugh then shook her head. "No," she said. "There's no way this is happening."

After Sunset Beach Bar | Closed starter | @hayl0fts
It had been a slow day for the Chief of Police... which wasn't even that odd anymore. Emily has spent so many years chasing after serial killers that adjusting to the slow pace of the island life took some time. It's been a little over a year now and she still wasn't quite used to it. She should be grateful for the change of pace but she missed the hustle and bustle... and more importantly, she missed her team. With Pride month underway, the island had some big events planned and Emily secretly hoped that it would motivate some people to get into trouble... add some more excitement to her otherwise dull life that she had here on the island. Walking into a bar, Emily scanned the room before her eyes settled on a woman at the bar. She could only see the back of her but something inside of her screamed that she knew her. She approached her, finding a seat next to her at the bar. The bartender came up to her immediately so she ordered herself a cocktail before turning to look at the woman next to her. She nearly gasped when she realized who it was. "Hero?" she asked in disbelief. Her mind had to be playing tricks on her... Hero had died a long time ago. There was no way it could be them. It was a slow day but a long one... Maybe she was just tired and missing her team so much that her brain decided to whip one of them out of thin air for her?

"Thank you," she said, smiling. Emily took a seat after she left and scrolled through her phone for a few minutes until the doctor came in. After running some tests and confirming it was nothing more than just allergies, Emily was left in the room again waiting for the veterinary assistant to come back into the room.
"awesome, that's really great to hear that you're keeping ontop of it." she replied, smiling down at the pet. "we'll i think i've got everything we need - the vet will come in and see him and if i need to administer anything i'll be back shortly after."

The Secret Ingredient | Closed starter | @brokcnrunes
As Emily made her way into work, she stopped at the local bakery to get a pastry and a coffee. She had been up most of the night reviewing case files and didn't sleep well on top of waking up this morning before the sun. She was tired, understandably. So she figured a quick pick me up might help. After standing in the short line, she received her coffee and her rainbow berry tart. Taking a sip of her drink, she decided that she had time to sit and enjoy her small meal before having to make her way into work. She eyed a man sitting at a corner booth alone and approached him with a smile on her face. "Hi, may I sit with you?" she asked, looking behind her at the crowded bakery then teased. "I would use my credentials to make someone give me their seat but I figured that would be unbecoming of me."

"Excuse me, doctor," she said, walking into the hospital's ER. She wasn't injured but the woman and kid she brought in in her squad car were. "These guys could use a little help please." Emily was calm but the woman she was with wasn't. "The daughter called 911 and I was only a block away," she explained. "I got there before the ambulance and thought it would it was best to bring them straight here." @unfortvnatesculs

Emily was driving past Black Rock Bay when she noticed something out of the corner of her eye in the woods. Pulling over in her work truck, she got out of the vehicle and peered into the woods. She spotted a woman shooting a bow and arrows. Walking up to her, she made sure to stay pretty quiet so she wouldn't disturb the woman nor whatever she was preying on. Emily watched as she took her shot and then made herself known. "Hi there," she said. "Nice aim you got there." @unfortvnatesculs

Emily smiled at the woman as they continued to dance together. She wondered what the reason was if it wasn't because of the woman's leg but she didn't want to pry. She figured if Arizona wanted to tell her, she would. She was grateful that the other woman didn't think she was an ass for what she said and when she asked if she wanted another drink, she nodded. "Yeah, I could definitely go for another drink," she said as she followed Arizona off the dance floor and back towards the bar.
"Oh, that's not exactly why she's my ex, I." Arizona had to stop herself from carrying on. Having no filter when she spoke had always been a side effect thanks all the alcohol currently running through her veins. She had already revealed too much, the last thing she wanted to do is have a stranger judging her for her actions. "It's okay, no harm done. I was the one who brought it up to someone I just met." Arizona smiled as the woman introduced herself, "Emily is a sweet name. Hey do you want another drink?"
