hi prev im stealing your tags bc EXACTLY EXACTLY this is EXACTLY what im getting at!!! like yea the characters/sinners are the focus of limbus thats cool and fine but the fact that it feels like theyre more Setpieces For Character than anything else is FRUSTRATINGGG.
yeah yeah funny sex joke Can We Talk About The Implications Of Its Function And Effect On Others. how much less it focuses on blood and gore like its linked Red Shoes-- actually. zoom in on that. red shoes focusing on possessiveness in a much sharper, defensive way, wanting focused in a former lack, protecting that "Having" by striking out first and allowing that fear to run away with you. and then pink shoes having little to no focus on the visceral nature of it all, rather a type of possessiveness that borders on Protectiveness, almost.
to hold and keep close and drag it with you regardless of what it is, what it does. puppeting it around regardless of how it was before, now simply being toyed about like a doll. (wanting what it Is vs wanting what you Think It Should Be) (wanting past any actual use it has to you, even when it loses everything it was, even when it no longer serves you.) it reviving itself upon inflicting a casualty and dancing on again. how that which works best is to tear that desire from them forcefully. (is it a Taking or a Denial?) ribbons, ties, clinging, snaring.
(thinks about ishmael thinks about ishmael thinks about ishmael.)
see bc like!! with lobcorp abnos they all had enough to focus on Them as Individuals just as much as it did any Character that Wore them-- and not only that, but while each ego Does focus on a single bit of character more often than not, it doesn't Completely define what it is to a single-note degree. put simply, theres just inherently More to work with.
AND THEN THERES THE SOUP...
abnormalities iwould be so so normal about were it not for The Implications. The Impies
