Wanted to do some profile practice so I doodled my faves in Genshin ♥

can you do lyney with introvert male reader, who lives in the water that is bit far from fontaine? Reader is hydro polearm user who mysterious won't go wet once out of water, including what he bought. He mysteriously unable to dissolve into water, despite being fontainer. He's distant to anyone, including furina(to her awkwardness), but will provide help in need. He doesn't mind lyney being part of fatui, since he's a good guy with good reason in his own rules, will shows protectiveness to save him and his siblings in case something happens, but won't hesitate to fight him or anyone for a reason that caught his attention

You gasped as the lights turned on, blinding you after you'd been left in the dark for what felt like hours...and revealing a large cage in front of you, in it Lyney, Freminet and Lynette, who despite the current situation, seemed delighted to see you. You on the other hand...were more than just panicked, "No! Let them go! You don't even need them! Please, they will dissolve in the water!"

"Hahaha...oh but you're very wrong, I do need them." Your eyes shot up to where a tall man stood on a tight rope, balancing in a brightly coloured suit with a sick smile on his face. You knew him well enough by now, the man who had attempted to trick you in to being his experimental guinea pig...and had failed all because Lyney had been there to see past the scheme, he knew you were different and even being apart of the fatui who could benefit from finding out why...he would never let anyone hurt you.

And you were going to do the same..even if it meant possibly giving up your freedom in the process, "You need them...so we can make a trade I'm guessing, my life...for all three of theirs?" You glanced in the siblings direction, your eyes meeting Lyneys long enough to see the worry behind them for you and his siblings.

However the man on the tight rope seemed unbothered, actually he seemed rather amused by how attached you were to the people who not nearly as intriguing, after all you were the only person from Fontaine who couldn't dissolve in the water...who somehow was unaffected by all water in general and yet you'd give your life away for a diver, a magician and his assistant...how strange, "That's right, you allow me to find out the secrets behind your biology and I'll let the three of them go. Do we have a deal?"

You opened you mouth to respond, but Lyney beat you to it, "Absolutely not, he will never become your little lab rat! Whatever you do don't say yes! We'll find a way out of this!" You could see Lynette whispering something into his ear afterwards while the man above you groaned in annoyance, ready to start his studies and clearly done with the whole ordeal.

You made your polearm appear, unsure what the siblings had planned...but already assuming it would end in a brawl, "He's right! I refuse your offer! I want to live my life with the person I love and the few friends I have!" The man leapt from the rope to the ground, startling you and appearing far more menacing then he had moments earlier..."How rude...and here I was thinking we would have a agreement, seems I'll have to do things the hard way." He crackled his knuckles, a evil grin spreading on his face and making your skin crawl, you got into a battle stance, ready to attack.

CRASH

The two of you turned just in time to see one side of the cage fall to the ground, Freminet holding what was now a empty vial of jellyfish poison, which due to its high acidity...worked wonders against the flimsy metal bars, melting them so they could escape. Now there was no leverage...and even though a bunch of guards ran in to investigate the loud noise, they would be now trouble for the four of you.

You took the chance to attack the distracted villain, using your spear to hit the back of his knees, causing him to fall backwards against the hard wood floor. "Please allow me to make myself very clear...you try to hurt them again and I'll bring some primordial water with me, just remember, I'm the only one who's unable to dissolve because it. That makes your chances very low."

"My, you certainly sound menacing don't you." Lyney winked at you as he took down another guard with a stolen bow, his siblings doing the same and making a unstable team. Easy to say, you'd won this round and you'd probably find a way to win every one after too.

i think i’m enjoying the fontaine story now that i’m playing genshin again so here’s my thoughts on the new characters

-furina. i feel bad for her but i’m not a fan of her va. but i normally turn my sound off when i play so looking at just her writing,,,,,, i think she’s a fine character. the twist was interesting and i don’t fault furina for anything that happened. her being a drama queen but it being entirely a mask she puts on is fascinating. i don’t like focalors tho. she did furina so dirty

-neuvillette is kinda just vibin. he’s fine he’s likable. he doesn’t rlly stand out to me much except that i’m convinced he’s gay. i don’t ship him with anyone tho (most other characters are wayyyyy too young for him so i dislike seeing any ship art of him). i like to think of him as furina’s older brother.

-lyney. um. meh? he’s a good big brother but that’s all i rlly care about him. also he dresses like a slut? and his va is kinda annoying to me idk fjdksk

-lynette. kinda same as her twin. i appreciate that the twins are separate characters bc the trope where twins act exactly the same is a pet peeve of mine. i like that lynette is an introvert. idk that’s all i have to say.

-freminet. i don’t like his design. i’m so tired of the shorter guy characters wearing shorts and being treated like children. but as for his writing. it’s cool. i like that he’s the twins’ younger brother. i like how the plot actually addresses how much danger he was put in.

-charlotte. YOOOO NEWS REPORTER CHARACTER LETS GOOO!! she reminds me sm of april o’neil i love her.

-wriothesley. at first sight i thought he was a basic bad boy werewolf lookin weirdo (my demi butt can’t ever find thirst trap characters attractive lmao). but then i heard him talk,,,, and yeah his voice actor is genuinely a good actor???? i don’t like most of the anime-esque voice acting in this game, and the dramatic dialogue doesn’t help, but wriothesley’s voice actor actually tries to make it believable that his character is a person. and i respect that. and yeah um his backstory is darker than i expected,,,,

-arlecchino. she’s neat i like her aesthetic.

-clorinde. …….. finally a genshin character who doesn’t speak multiple paragraphs at a time LMAO. i like her so far. i kinda ship her with wriothesley tbh ,,, 👉👈 idk i like how often they work together.

-sigewinne. um. i don’t rlly like the child characters. also they were cowards for making her look human and not tHE LITERAL SPECIES SHE IS UGH-

-navia. SAVING THE BEST CHARACTER FOR LAST. bro i was blown away with how much respect and care they put into navia’s writing. her grief felt so real and i could not believe they put her through that much. she’s also so pretty and her design is so aesthetically pleasing. and tbh i hate seeing sm ship art under her name bc she’s too good for everyone lmaooo she’s great. i’m in love. she’s the best fontaine character (and maybe the best genshin character).

also i wanna say i did not expect for this chapter to have this much death and other dark themes. ik fontaine is the land of justice and court cases but man,,,,, tragic,,,,,

SPOILERS Genshin 4.0 Fontaine and Archon Quest

Warning: Spoilers, just in case you didn't see the first word. Also, bad bad words. Long loong rant

First of all, pretty region. Like really beautiful. Visually pleasing and a good time out from the desert which is not yet complete at all. Blue looks good with traveler ngl. I like it a lot. Although the aquabus is really slow, it's nice to be able to sightsee the area without monsters wanting a fight. Its a good way to introduce the region ngl.

Lyney and Lynette are lovely characters. Their designs have definitely upgraded from the first peek at them and I would be attempting to pull for Lyney. Also Freminet would be nice to have too. And same goes for the rest of other characters I don't have yet. I love the backstory. Dark and good set up ngl. Also I kinda want to see subtle parallels between the traveler twins and the Fontaine twins. Like talking about a "what if my twin sister got taken from me" moment on the aquabus. I see you.

Mr. Childe Ed Sheeran Tartaglia. Is it just me or is he talking just a bit faster? It's been a while since I last encountered this man so I don't even remember lol. This guy tho. Trouble. Thats all. Also yay, character lore but in dialogue. I lowkey missed him.

As someone who can't with awkward scenes despite being sort of awkward irl, that entire scene with meeting Neuvillette killed me. I thought the silence was just it but the following scenes is staight up stabbing me more than is necessary. Wth was that Paimon lol. Not Traveler asking Paimon to chat for him. Also I feel like Traveler's journey is mainly him becoming more expressive with his face. Forget abt the overarching story and the new things, I check out updates to see what new emotion Traveler has now.

I love Navia! She caught my eye the first time with her design and her personality+story is everything to me. I can't see me using her much gameplay wise. I'm not that fond playing with geo characters and I've already got a good enough Itto but I would still love to have her.

The archon is killing me like I'm not gonna lie she gets in my nerves although she is entertaining. She's funny and I like that she actually appears to her citizens and have a sort of connection with them unlike the other archons so far lol. Like fr, hiding from citizens for the first two, Ei was a tyrant at one point and Nahida was kept away because of her own ppl.

Furina I feel is like acting like a teen in highschool sort of which kind of matches if I'm correct that she is second youngest among the Archons. Like Nahida is curious like the youngest, Zhongli giving old man vibes fr, Venti is the always drunk adult, and Ei being like almost middle child energy or the one that enjoys holing up in their room. Well that is with what we have among the archons. Dont know much with Tsaritsa tbh and I don't even remember Natlan's yet.

I kind of enjoy how Neuvillette gets to call the shots and is sort of babysitting the archon then again Diluc has to deal with Venti and we have Yae pushing Ei to socialize. Nahida is fine, in fact, she's the one babysitting Wanderer. Anyway, Neuvillette, he is great. He reels in his archon instead of blindly following and actually is sane. Like I like him a lot.

I love Fontaine so far. I can switch between that and Sumeru desert. They're opposites and I can deal with desert much better like this lol.
