I illustrated each character first onto the pages and then covered them with tracing paper leaving an outline on all of them, this allowed me to them lino print a design on top of them as a background. After the ink had dried i could simply peel away the tracing paper to leaving my watercolored characters clean. I added few other lino prints in blue for certain key objects and made another lino stencil for the cover. I chose to print in baby pink as to not contrast nor overpower Alice’s signature colors and overall i love the final result and wait to print out doubles and hand them to friends. I had never done print making before but i loved the process and outcomes and can’t wait to use it more, i also thoroughly enjoyedthis project.
