What are Samoa tradition and culture?

    According to my research, Samoa tradition and culture is most unique to other countries tradition.Their tradition are dancing, tatau Samoa, ava ceremony, songs, etc. Samoa values their culture in several ways, it varies from others, everything is to be kept at heart and make useful of,each day.Being respectful is one way Samoa stands out from constant cultures.When one needs something from a brother/sister, it is necessary to say “PLEASE” and when receive,”THANK YOU”, needs to be turned in respect.When one passes by/front of someone either older or younger,”EXCUSE ME” is the powerful word to  use with respect. Words are already made for the Samoans tongue to adjust with in the daily life. In special occasions, formal wear should be “PULETASI” for women but for men are “IE FAITAGA” and “OFUTINO” or any appropriate casual palagi wear. At any funeral, respectful acts is always performed on every sides the deceased has relation to such as: friends,family, church community, and work.Other thing that Samoan parents are strongly for are  their children, teenagers in the American living, leaves the house once 18 is reached, meanwhile in the Samoa culture, teenagers will all be adults under their parents roof until decided to move out. Parents can scold and beat their kids with encouragements physically and orrally, and the young one should always obey. One valuable thing about our culture is the God-given talents used in any opportunity, Samoa has a special traditional dance called the “TAUALUGA” which a female specially is appointed to dance in a traditional wear, with “SIAPO”  and “TUIGA” which makes everything highly honored and respected. The “FAATAUPATI” is a dance traditionally performed by men and involves fire, beating drums and knives. Lastly, we all have gone through serious illness which can or can’t be treated at the hospital. Samoa have medications treated from our own plants to get through pain and successfully healed such as “FUEFUESIGA” and “FINAGALO PAIA LEAF” is for healing your teeth when it hurts so much,”LAUGOGU” and “LAUTI” is use to treat when you have headache, “FUA O LE GOGU “ is use for healing your mouth when it burns, and “LAU FU’AFU’A” can heal any disease in your body.If you need this medication to heal your sickness, comment down, and I’ll provided for you [pea leva ahhh].
