Request: if you still accept request can i make a request where rosé helps the reader take care of her twin nephews so when night comes they are in the living room so the reader puts them both to sleep and the two kids ask the reader to read a story to them sleep so rosé ends up seeing all this and imagines a family with the reader.
Title: You are babysitting kids with Rosé and she imagines having a family with you.
Pairing: Rosé x you.
Warnings: None. Only pure fluff.
Words: 1010.
Your twin asked you to babysit your nephews which you immediately agreed. Since you knew that Rosé loved to babysitting. You saw how excited Rosé truly were to be babysitting with you when you told her about it. The smile reaches her eyes. You kissed her cheek earlier.
You stood in the doorframe towards the bedroom that you share with your girlfriend of two years. You saw how her brown doe eyes crinkled at the corners and the smile reaching her sparkling doe brown eyes.
„Let's go my love. My nephews are waiting for us." Greeted you Rosé with happiness in your voice.
Rosé moved her fists in the air while she grins. You couldn't do anything besides of smiling to the cute sight in front of you. You absolutely adored her.
„Yes let's go. Yay!" State Rosé with excitement in her voice. You adored her australian accent whenever she talks in english.
You took her hand into yours. You went on your tip toes since you are smaller than her to kiss her forehead. It caused her to pout when she didn't feel your lips pressing against her own lips for a quick kiss. You couldn't resist the puppy eyes that she gave you. The pout caused her chipmunk cheeks to look really fluffy. It caused you to give her a quick kiss.
You both walked outside from your house. Rosé locked the front door. She opened the car door for you. You sat down in the passenger seat of her pink Lamborghini. She walked up towards the driver side.
- -
„Thank you Y/N for babysitting your nephews for me. I really appreciate it." Thanked your twin. You only hugged your twin and took Rosé's hand into yours again.
„You don't have to thank me. We are a family. Now go have fun with your husband. We will take care of my nephews." You demanding your twin with gratefulness in your voice. Your twin nodded before walking away. After giving you and Rosé a hug.
You and Rosé opened your arms when you both heard little footsteps running closer towards you. Followed by children laughter and then you saw your nephews.
„Auntie Y/N Auntie Rosie. We missed you so much!!!!" Screamed your nephews with excitement in their voices.
You let go of them when they take your and Rose's hand. Rosé absolutely adored how close you are with your family. She's mostly grateful that she is a part of the family now.
„We missed you too kiddos!" Grins Rosé. She hugged your nephews. Kissing their foreheads.
Your nephews still holding your and Rosé's hand. Both took you at their room. Which had many toys in them. Rosé had a sparkle in her brown doe eyes. Which crinkled at the corners when she smiled.
„Aunties we wanna show you our new toys!!" Smiled your nephews with excitement in their voice.
Rosé grins when she saw Lego Batman poster on their walls. You smiled at the sight of happiness around you. She put an arm around your shoulder and kissed your forehead.
„Let's play with the Jurassic World Lego Sets that we've got a few months ago!!" Yelled your nephews with excitement in their voice.
You both only smiled at each other. Her doe eyes crinkled at the corners. You both sat down next at your nephews to play with them.
- -
When the night came you sat on the couch with Rosé. You cuddled into her. She held your hand into her hand. Her other hand played with your hand that she didn't hold. You both watched the end of Shrek. Which your nephews wanted to watch with their favorite aunties. You sent them twenty minutes ago to brush their teeth.
You both look up when you heard small little footsteps walking downstairs. You grins when you saw your nephews rubbing their sleepy eyes with their thumbs.
„Auntie we finished brushing our teeth and changed into our Lego Batman Pyjamas." Said one of your nephews.
„Let's go upstairs so me and Rosé can tug you into your bed's." Announced you with happiness in your voice.
„Yay...!" Said your nephews to the same time. Excitement can be heard into their voice's.
Your nephews ran upstairs giggling with happiness. You took the time to kiss Rosé on the lips. Since you didn't have time the whole day to do that. You both walk upstairs after pulling away from the kiss.
Your nephews sat on the bed with their Lego Harry Potter bedsheets. Patience waiting for you and Rosé to arrive into the room already.
„Auntie Y/N can you read us a story...?" Asked your youngest nephew with hope in his voice.
He and his brother started pouting. You couldn't resist to read them a story. Since you've always been a passionate reader.
„Of course kiddos. Let's read Puss in Boots. It's one of the best stories to read." State you with happiness in your voice.
Your nephews let out a small 'yay' while putting their tiny fists into the air to celebrate it. Because they love when you read them a story. You and Rosé are their favorite aunts.
Rosé watched you interacting with your nephews while leaning against the doorframe. She couldn't help herself from imagining having a family with you in the future. She couldn’t wait to watch your pregnancy journey and to take care of you then. Most importantly she couldn’t wait to grow old with you by her side and watch your children grow up then. Rosé knows you and her will try your best to be the best parents to your future children.

How long does sparkling wine last unopened?
When it comes to indulging in a glass of sparkling wine, also known as champagne in some circles, the anticipation of experiencing those effervescent bubbles can be quite exciting. Whether it's a celebration, a romantic evening, or just a casual gathering, the pop of the cork and the delicate fizz create an atmosphere of elegance and joy. However, life often throws us curveballs, and that bottle of sparkling wine might find itself sitting on the shelf for longer than expected. The question then arises: How long does sparkling wine last unopened? In this article, we will delve into the factors influencing the longevity of unopened sparkling wine, drawing insights from The Fine Wine Company Ltd, a reputable source in the world of wines.
Understanding the Shelf Life of Sparkling Wine
Factors Affecting Sparkling Wine's Longevity
The lifespan of unopened sparkling wine is influenced by several crucial factors, each contributing to its overall quality and taste when finally uncorked. The Fine Wine Company Ltd emphasizes that the composition of the wine, the production method, the storage conditions, and the variety of grapes used are all significant factors.
Composition and Quality
Just like any other wine, the composition of the sparkling wine plays a pivotal role in determining its lifespan. High-quality sparkling wines often have a better chance of aging gracefully over time. The presence of balanced acidity, fine bubbles, and well-integrated flavors can contribute to the wine's ability to preserve its appeal.
Production Method: Traditional vs. Tank
The production method employed greatly impacts the wine's longevity. Traditional sparkling wines, such as champagne, undergo a secondary fermentation in the bottle, leading to complex flavors and longer aging potential. On the other hand, tank-fermented sparkling wines are generally fresher and meant to be consumed earlier.
Storage Conditions
Proper storage conditions are vital for preserving the quality of any wine. Sparkling wines should be stored in a cool, dark place, away from temperature fluctuations and direct sunlight. The Fine Wine Company Ltd recommends maintaining a consistent temperature between 45°F and 65°F (7°C to 18°C).
Grape Variety and Region
The type of grapes used and the region of origin also contribute to a sparkling wine's aging potential. English sparkling wines, for instance, have gained popularity for their distinct character, often rivaling traditional champagnes.
Insights from The Fine Wine Company Ltd
With a focus on curating a selection of exceptional wines, The Fine Wine Company Ltd provides valuable insights into the lifespan of sparkling wines. Their collection includes a wide array of options, from the best sparkling wines to English sparkling wines and even rosé sparkling wines.
Best Sparkling Wine Selection
The Fine Wine Company Ltd's best sparkling wines are carefully chosen to offer exquisite taste profiles and aging potential. These bottles are often sourced from renowned wineries with a history of producing exceptional sparkling wines. The company recommends consuming its best sparkling wines within 3 to 5 years of purchase to fully appreciate their vibrant flavors.
English Sparkling Wine and Rosé Varieties
English sparkling wine has emerged as a strong contender in the world of bubbly beverages. With its cool climate and unique soil compositions, England has created a niche for itself in the sparkling wine market. The Fine Wine Company Ltd suggests that English sparkling wines, including rosé varieties, are best enjoyed within 2 to 3 years of purchase, allowing their crispness and fruitiness to shine.
Sparkling Wine vs. Champagne: Unraveling the Distinction
The terms "sparkling wine" and "champagne" are often used interchangeably, but they hold distinct meanings. While all champagnes are sparkling wines, not all sparkling wines can be classified as champagnes. Champagne is geographically restricted to the Champagne region of France and follows specific production methods. On the other hand, sparkling wine encompasses a broader range of products made using various techniques and grape varieties.
The Art of Popping the Cork: Celebrating with Sparkling Wines
From the elegant flute glasses to the satisfying pop of the cork, sparkling wines are synonymous with celebrations. Whether it's a champagne toast at a wedding or a casual evening with friends, the effervescence and elegance of sparkling wines make them a favorite choice for many. The Fine Wine Company Ltd suggests that a bottle of sparkling wine, when unopened and properly stored, can retain its quality for several years, ensuring that you have a reason to celebrate whenever the moment arises.
Conclusion
In the world of wines, the longevity of an unopened bottle of sparkling wine is a result of intricate factors such as composition, production method, storage conditions, and grape variety. Thanks to The Fine Wine Company Ltd's expertise, we've gained a deeper understanding of how these factors interplay to shape the exquisite experience of enjoying a glass of sparkling wine. So, the next time you raise your glass for a toast, remember that behind those effervescent bubbles lies a story of craftsmanship, passion, and attention to detail. Cheers to the joy that sparkling wine brings, whether it's the best sparkling wine, English sparkling wine, or a delightful rosé variation.

The Daugthers of Saturn
A Wolfpack saga
Vol I. Titan
Sam Uley x Female! reader
Summary: Saturn's fate depends solely on its daughters
Warnings: none(?
A/N: So, as you all know i'm new in this twilight thing but i looooove the wolfpack so much and my mind works so fast so here it is a whole saga about our favorite boys! Please if you see something you don't like tell me and i'll change it. As always, english not my mother language so pls let me know if something's wrong. Enjoy!
Caelus spun rapidly on its axis and Saturn quickly followed suit. They were thousands of milles away from each other, but their rotations didn't slow down. You were at the center of the universe. The other planets hid to watch the fight between father and son and you wondered what you were doing there, in the middle of space floating above a constellation that murmured beneath your feet.
Then the two enemy planets rotated more strongly and from their movement emerged two men. Caelus stood imposingly in front of Saturn who, imitating his father, slowly walked towards him. Your heart raced, watching the two unknown men slowly approach you.
The space between the three of you closed. The constellation beneath your feet disintegrated and in return you stood on a golden stone that Saturn created for you. He attacked Caelus, his father, and squeezed your arm tightly.
His eyes were gray like granite and his hand on your arm was warm, like a welcoming embrace. You didn't understand what was happening, nor how you managed to be in that place, to breathe and be in front of two planets that had become men.
Caelus recovered from the attack and Saturn pulled you towards to the aquarius nebula where his territory began. Caelus vociferated in rage and Saturn grabbed you by the cheeks pinning his grayish gaze on yours.
"You are my daughter. The first, but not the only one. You must find the rest. My fate depends on it."
He said. His voice was soft, like the voice of an understanding father. You stood in your place watching Saturn's sparkling eyes. Then Caelus ran like a panther towards you and Saturn made you fall from the nebula, floating in the void.
You awoke to the tapping on the car window where your sister was trying to get your attention. Apparently you had already arrived at your new home and there was a lot of unpacking to do. You woke up, your muscles aching from sleeping so uncomfortably in the car and all the miles you had to travel from your old home. You stretched your arms, sighed and got out of the car being the last one to do so.
The rest of your siblings were already pulling box after box out of the moving truck. Your father was standing in the doorway watching them work and your mother was inside giving indications on how she wanted everything arranged. You shook your head, putting on your jacket before heading out.
La Push had a terrible weather. Humid, rainy, cloudy. The rest of the family talked to your father about the disadvantages it would bring to the pack, but he just used his Alpha voice and said that those had been old Hasen's wishes.
Grandpa Hasen was the elder leader of the sons of Caelus, the tribe to which you belonged. He had been the alpha in his time and had been the son, grandson and great-grandson of alphas. Now it was your father's turn and in the future it would be yours.
The sons of Caelus were a pack of wolves ruled by the planets. They talked, but they only talked to old Hasen and he communicated the message as best as he could.
Hasen didn't speak, neither did he open his eyes and the little he moved was for the council meetings that were held in an extraordinary way. Two weeks ago old Hasen awoke from a dream and, after years of not opening his eyes even to help himself to walk, he did so to say that the whole pack had to move to La Push, Washington.
Your father didn't understand why, but he didn't object the decision. If Hasen had had a vision then that meant that the creator father spoke to him in his dreams and laid out the path for them to follow. The rest of the sons of Caelus were unsure about establishing their home in La Push cause, as it had been for hundreds of years, the Quileutes and the sons of Caelus hated each other.
You stepped out of the car feeling the breeze hit your body but your own warm held back the cold. You shook your head trying to dismiss the dark dream you had just had. It was impossible for Saturn to have communicated with you. Your creator father was his enemy and the sons of Caelus abhorred Saturn since the creation of the tribe. You denied, telling yourself that you had spent too much time listening stories.
Rosé, your sister, was waiting for you on the porch carrying a heavy box in her arms. She raised her eyebrows when she saw your sleepy face and hair in a tousled bun. Her bright smile made you blush.
"Sleeping beauty, were you waiting for the prince's kiss to wake you up?"
"Not really. I didn't know we had already arrived."
"Fifteen minutes ago. The others are inside helping to unpack. I thought it was good to let you rest a little longer."
"Thanks, R."
You decided to start helping carry the last of the boxes inside meeting your father's stern gaze. He was a good alpha, but as a father he left a lot to be desired. You didn't have an enviable relationship nor did they have a perfect one, but he was your father, the alpha of the pack and you respected him.
"Take that to my office" he told you in a growl. You nodded making the tousled bun move and your hair fall unruly to the sides. Your father looked at you reproachfully again "Do as I told you and for the love of our father, pull your hair back."
Rosé was right behind you. You were both about to do as your father had told you when the scent of other wolves stopped you all from your actions. Your father pulled you close to him putting you and your sister behind his back and your twenty brothers protected the rest of your sisters in the same way. The strangers approached revealing none other than the new generation of Quileute wolves commanded by Joshua Uley's son.
They crept closer. Your brothers formed a barrier between them and your father. Still, the Quileutes came close enough and looked disdainfully at the vastness of your home.
"Get inside now," said your father. You and Rosé didn't move but were curious about the arrival of the wolves. Your father gritted his teeth "I said get inside the house."
You two did as he asked standing on the threshold and leave the boxes aside. From that place you could see the one who appeared to be the alpha climb the porch steps being stopped by your brothers. Your father gave them the order to let him pass and their faces met.
"Son of Caelus."
"Quileute" your father replied looking him up and down. The boy had no shirt on, only a pair of shorts. The boy half smiled
"We could smell you all from our side of the beach."
"Your side of the beach" ironized your father "I didn't know we were limited to just walking in the woods near our place."
"Well now you know" said the boy. You moved closer, quietly stepping out until you were behind your father's back "You're not welcome here."
"Who says so?"
"The treaty you signed years ago"
"That treaty died along with Ephraim Black. There is no shared territory, this place belongs to us as much as it does to you and this house is mine and my pack, so I don't want to see you around here, boy, was I clear enough?"
"Why are you here?"
"Our creator father brought us."
"Caelus spoke to you? After all these years?" asked the boy. Your father's face turned red with anger.
"That's none of your concern, quileute. Get off my property, now."
Your father turned around to enter the house bumping into you. He squeezed your arm feeling anger rise up to his ears when he saw that you hadn't tied your hair back. He pulled you to the side and you were facing the quileute's alpha as he held you so you wouldn't fall.
Your eyes met. A bond tightened and images flashed through your minds of the two of you together, happy and embracing somewhere on that beach. Your heart pounded and the quileute's arms around your waist became soft.
But then reality hit you like a bucket of cold water.
You imprinted on a quileute.
The worst enemy of your own pack.

Would it be alright to request High School! Blackpink falling in love with the S/O at first sight? No rush please take as much time as you need 💜 I understand masterpieces take time to make
Hello lovely! Hope you enjoy
Author's Note: This was originally going to be written as more of a fic type setting rather than a reaction, but I unfortunately got hit with the dreaded "blank mind" as soon as I was about to begin. If you'd like, I can write something like that when the motivation returns to me?
Warnings: None
It was your very first day at this new school; nerves were running wild and adrenaline was pumping through your veins like a freight train.
You had introduced yourself to the headmistress and had been asked to wait while she fetched the person who you assumed was going to show you around.
Jisoo was all smiles as she followed the headmistress to your location
She had done this kind of thing before, and so she was already prepared to help you get as used to the new environment as soon as possible
However as soon as the door to the office was opened, showing your nervous smile behind it, she paused
It was only for a second, and neither you or the headmistress noticed the change
But on the inside Jisoo was practically melting
Your cheeks just looked so squeezable
And your eyes were so bright and open that she almost found herself lost within their depths
She was proud for not stuttering when she introduced herself to you
But as the two of you began walking around the school she couldn't help but to gaze at you every chance she could get
Everything about you was just so mesmerising to her and she couldn't get enough of it
Her kindness also allowed you to become slightly more confident as you talked, and you also found yourself laughing along with her jokes
When it came to the end of the tour, however, Jisoo found herself truly hesitating for the first time since she first laid eyes on you
There was a question on the tip of her tongue that she was hyping herself to ask, pushing out the words with some slight difficulty
"Would you like to have lunch with me?"
Jennie was more than happy to help out when the headmistress originally asked
She had asked about you from the very beginning, wondering what kind of person you were
And when she first laid eyes on you? Fireworks
Her whole world became brighter, louder
Like she had been submerged under water without even knowing it
Your little smile at her sent her heart into overdrive within the confines of her chest
It squeezed and tugged, threatening to break free from her ribcage
She wasn't quite sure what her expression was as she looked at you, but she hoped the sparkle in your eyes was because you were going through the same this she was
(You were)
She tried to reign in her excitement as she showed you around
Pointing out some of her favourite places to be before shyly asking if you'd like to join her whenever she was there
"Don't hesitate to ask me if you need anything."
She would go from English to Korean whenever a particular word was difficult on your tongue
The entire time you barely got to see her eyes since her smile was so wide it was hiding them
At one point your hands accidentally brushed, rendering her into a steaming pile of goo for approximately 5 minutes afterwards
By the end you had both her number and her heart
Rosé was very curious as to what kind of person you were when she was asked to do this
Hoping that you were friendly and that she could get along well with you
Even so it was clear that you were both shy as soon as you were revealed
Rosé tried to be uplifting but there was just something about you that kept making her stutter and heart pound
Her eyes were so bright ever time she looked at you as if you were another wonder of the world that she had just discovered
When you found out she was born in Australia the questions came a-flying
You instantly fell in love as soon as she began talking
What was supposed to be a tour was now just the two of you learning about each other
Your inquiry about seeing if she'd let you see her play the guitar making her melt on the spot
"You really wanna see me play?"
Numbers were definitely exchanged at the end
The moment she saw you, Lisa instantly paused
For a good minute
She didn't know what to do or say, everything she had prepared leaving her mind the moment you both locked eyes
And when you bowed in greeting, she almost fell over in a scramble to do the same
It was slightly awkward at the beginning
But Lisa managed to snap out of it when the headmistress took her leave
Conversation was slow to begin with
But the two of you couldn't stop looking at each other
And after a shared laugh because of how the two of you were acting the ice finally melted
Lisa was shy yet animated, and the contrast had you mesmerised with every word and action
Lisa was so excited talking to you, wanting to learn all of your interests and hobbies
And when she suddenly placed a pick-up line in the conversation? Both of you were a steaming pile of mush right after

Day 128 – Partying with the Zim(babweans)
We had a special breakfast for Easter. The chef had really outdone himself and is trying to be creative. There was amazing strawberry butter, hot cross buns with raisins and mimosas. Oddly, there was also a heart-shaped gelatin product with a strawberry in the middle… the gelatin was savoury. We’re not sure what this had to do with Easter… we tried it but neither of us understood what it was. We are still wondering what inspired the chef to make such an odd creation. Indeed, when we spoke to Gareth later, he also had no clue as to what this was or what it had to do with Easter.
Calvin had noticed that J wasn’t drinking the orange juice at breakfast, so he went out of his way to make his special beetroot and apple juice, which was delicious. Because we have the humour of a 15-year-old boy, several jokes were made about how much J liked Calvin’s ‘special juice’.
On our way out of the hotel, we spoke to James at reception, who asked us if we were heading to the Bungalow. We are not quite sure, but think he owns the place or is getting kickbacks from the Bungalow as he’s recommended it to us, Gareth and Margaret about 10 times.
We tried to get in touch with our new friend Gareth from last night, but no luck, so we decided to walk down to the beachfront. Halfway there, he texted us to meet up. After a 30-minute downhill walk we arrived. The beachfront was rammed with Easter holidaymakers. This is a sceney area and most people were dressed up. As far as we could tell, the prevailing fashion is white, neutrals, flip flops, Louis Vuitton and panama hats. There is a ‘strip’ next to the beach where everyone passes by slowly to show off their sports cars. It was a fun place and we lucked into a table on the strip at a posh place called Paranga. This place was packed as well, but we must have arrived just as someone left. We sat down and ordered drinks and about two minutes later, Gareth showed up. We started out with margaritas and he started with a double shot of Glenfiddich on the rocks. We learned that he’s a big Scotch whisky fan. He also introduced S to a new twist on the tequila shot which apparently is very popular here. You take a shot of white tequila and then bite into a piece of pineapple covered with red tabasco sauce (not the green stuff). S really liked it. The heat really makes the drink. Funnily enough, the shots were served in tiny beer mugs. See the picture below. J recognised these tiny mugs as her stepdad was given beer in a mug this size as a child growing up in Canada.
Before we left Paranga, Gareth asked if we wanted some chicken wings before dinner. We declined, but said he should go ahead. He went ahead and ordered a chicken breast and chips/fries. We should note he is in very good shape and apparently ploughs through food.
After about 5 hours at Paranga, Margaret finally showed up and we headed to dinner at the Bungalow. We didn’t mention that we were coming from the Atlanticview hotel, so we hope James still got his kickback. Unbeknownst to us, Gareth had also invited his cousin, Godfried, and his ‘friend’, Danelle. Godfried was a character. He is also from Zim but spends a lot of time in South Africa. He specialises in ‘importing’ cars. We’re not 100% sure whether this is a formal or informal enterprise. Like us, he also doesn’t seem to keep a fixed address. Every time we asked him where he lived, he gave us a different answer. But he was a really nice and funny guy. His ‘friend’ or current girlfriend or perhaps Cape Town girlfriend, Danelle, seemed a bit standoffish at first. Once she learned that S was legally blind, she opened up to us and told us she is legally deaf and can only hear us because she has worn hearing aids from the age of 2. Because S is so loud, she had to turn them down, so as not to make her hearing worse (just kidding). She is Afrikaans and was born and bred in Cape Town and taught herself English by watching American TV shows.
Once again, S had oysters and sushi (spicy tuna roll). J had the mussels starter and burrata starter. Oddly enough, the mussels starter was around the same size as the mussels main J had at Harbour House for lunch. It always leaves you wanting more! The burrata was fine, but J could tell it was past its prime and therefore had lost its creamy texture and was slightly tart. Margaret had the fish and chips and Gareth had his second chicken breast in the last two hours. At least he’s consistent. A number of off-colour jokes were made about Gareth getting two breasts tonight. Even Margaret joined in the fun.
We headed back to the hotel to beat the midnight curfew. We asked if we could have an Amarula nightcap and were told that it was too late as the other guests were sleeping and their room is right next to the bar. We were reminded that there is Amarula in our room and given a small container of ice so we could make our own nightcap. James told us there was a surprise waiting for us in our room. S teased James and said if you tell someone there is a surprise it’s no longer a surprise. This reminded S of his 50th and 52nd birthdays when his former secretary, SJ, accidentally told him he had to keep a date clear for his surprise birthday parties organised by J. Again, not much of a surprise.
To be fair, the surprise was fabulous. It was a bottle of sparkling rosé, flower petals on the bed, white roses and Easter chocolates. Even J had to admit this beats the heck out of a towel creature. Although S wanted to open the rosé straightaway, J, who had not partaken in the tequila shots, prevailed and we saved it for breakfast tomorrow morning.

What is the difference between red and rosé wines?
Introduction
When it comes to the world of wines, the options are as diverse as they are intriguing. Among the plethora of choices, red and rosé wines stand out, each with its own unique characteristics and flavors. In this article, we'll delve into the nuances that differentiate red and rosé wines, all while referencing insights from The Fine Wine Company Ltd. Whether you're a wine connoisseur or a curious beginner, understanding the distinctions between these two popular choices will undoubtedly enhance your wine appreciation journey.
Red Wine: The Rich Elegance
The Winemaking Process
Red wines are crafted from dark-colored grape varieties and obtain their robust hue from prolonged contact between the grape skins and the juice during fermentation. This process allows the transfer of tannins, pigments, and flavors from the skin to the wine, resulting in a deep, intense color and complex taste profile.
Flavor Profile
Red wines typically offer a broad range of flavors, from fruity and spicy to earthy and woody. The aging process in oak barrels further enriches the wine with subtle notes of vanilla, tobacco, and sometimes even a touch of smokiness. The Fine Wine Company Ltd offers an exquisite collection of red wines, showcasing varietals from around the world.
Pairing and Serving
Due to their robust flavors and tannins, red wines pair exceptionally well with hearty dishes like red meats, stews, and aged cheeses. When exploring The Fine Wine Company Ltd's selection, consider a robust red to complement your favorite savory indulgences.
Rosé Wine: The Delicate Charm
Production Techniques
Unlike red wines, rosé wines maintain a shorter skin contact during fermentation. This limited contact imparts a lighter color to the wine, ranging from pale pink to vibrant salmon. The Fine Wine Company Ltd offers an array of rosé wines that capture this elegance in every sip.
Taste Profile
Rosé wines are often associated with a refreshing and crisp character. Their flavor profile typically includes notes of red fruits, citrus, and florals, making them an ideal choice for warm weather and lighter fare.
Pairing and Occasions
The versatility of rosé wines is showcased in their ability to complement a wide range of dishes, from salads and seafood to grilled vegetables. Their approachable nature also makes them a fantastic option for social gatherings and outdoor events. Whether you're hosting a picnic or a soirée, The Fine Wine Company Ltd has a selection of rosé wines to suit every occasion.
Comparing Red and Rosé: A The Fine Wine Company Ltd Perspective
Diverse Offerings
The Fine Wine Company Ltd not only presents an extensive array of red and rosé wines but also curates options that cater to various preferences. Their dedication to sourcing wines from renowned vineyards ensures a diverse collection that encompasses both traditional and innovative expressions.
Sparkling Wine Delights
For those seeking a touch of effervescence, The Fine Wine Company Ltd introduces a delightful collection of sparkling wines, including the best sparkling wine, Champagne online, and even English sparkling wine. These selections provide an exciting bridge between the worlds of red and rosé wines.
Exploring Champagne
It's important to note the distinction between sparkling wine and Champagne. While sparkling wines, in general, are the same as Champagne, not all sparkling wines are Champagne. Champagne specifically hails from the Champagne region of France, adhering to stringent production methods. The Fine Wine Company Ltd's offerings include both sparkling wine and Champagne options, ensuring a comprehensive selection for enthusiasts.
The Refined Elegance of Champagne
For the epitome of elegance, Champagne stands as the pinnacle. The Fine Wine Company Ltd features a range of Champagne options, including the best Champagne and Champagne delivery in the UK. Whether you're celebrating a milestone or simply indulging in luxury, Champagne's fine bubbles and complex flavor profile make it a remarkable choice.
Conclusion
In the realm of wines, the distinction between red and rosé goes far beyond their color. The Fine Wine Company Ltd's selection showcases the intricate artistry behind both types, inviting wine enthusiasts to explore and appreciate the diverse offerings. From the richness of red wines to the delicate charm of rosé, and even the sparkle of Champagne, each sip unveils a world of flavors and experiences waiting to be savored. So, whether you're raising a glass to a special occasion or simply enjoying a quiet evening, the fine wines from The Fine Wine Company Ltd are ready to elevate your palate and enhance your appreciation for the nuanced world of wine. Cheers!

Collection Report: McMenamins Brewery Collection, 1983-2015
Oh my gosh, this collection has been in my backlog for YEARS! It has been so long that when my daughter helped with the inventory on the brew sheets she was 11 years-old and couldn't check herself out of summer camp [now she can drive and has taken the SAT], but she could talk with John Richen (brewing manager at the time) about her favorite beer names and things she'd noticed about ingredients.
Go straight to the guide: http://bit.ly/mss_mcmenamins
Learn more about the Oregon brewing industry in my Oregon Encyclopedia article
The McMenamins Brewery Collection is, truly, a gem. We scanned thousands of brew sheets, which is a part of the magic, but I'm also delighted by all the fun ephemera, including a full run of their coasters. I'll also add that the company biography included in this guide is really a love letter to the company, and I thank Fred Eckhardt, John Foyston, and all the other journalists over the past 30 years for recording all the fun quirks about this company.
SUMMARY McMenamins is a family-owned chain of brewpubs, breweries, historic hotels, and theater pubs in the Pacific Northwest.
The McMenamins Brewery Collection includes digitized brew sheets, digital images, brochures, coasters, decals, event programs, flyers, newspaper clippings, tap handles, posters, labels, a wooden cask, and a six-pack of Hammerhead beer.
COMPANY BIO
McMenamins is a family-owned chain of brewpubs, breweries, historic hotels, and theater pubs in the Pacific Northwest. It was founded by brothers Mike and Brian McMenamin, who grew up in Northeast Portland. In 2021, they operated 56 properties, with twelve hotels; dozens of breweries, pubs, and restaurants; movie theaters; spas; music venues; and a coffee roaster, winery, cidery and distillery. Many locations are rehabilitated historical buildings and at least nine are on the National Register of Historic Places. McMenamins only sells its beer in its own pubs, restaurants, hotels, and movie theaters.
Early businesses
Mike and Brian McMenamin both graduated from Oregon State University, Mike with a Political Science degree (1974) and Brian with a Business degree (1980). Mike and two college friends purchased the Produce Row Café, a bar known for all-night, high-stakes poker games, in Portland's warehouse district in 1974 and sold more than 100 types of beer. The building was built in 1951 and opened as a breakfast café for produce dockworkers in 1953; in later years, it was a barbershop. Mike and Brian bought Bogart's Joint, another Portland-area pub on 14th and Flanders. At various points in history, many beer-related activities occurred in this building: Kurt and Rob Widmer brewed in this location, and it was later space occupied by Portland Brewing and Rogue Ales Public House. By 1980, they'd sold Produce Row, Bogart's Joint, and a third tavern, the Stockyard Café.
Mike opened a wine distributorship and Brian opened the McMenamins Pub in Hillsboro. By 1983, Mike’s distributorship had failed, and the brothers decided to try the bar business again. Rather than the smoky, male-dominated taverns common in Portland, they were inspired by the community hubs they’d seen in Europe. They bought the Fat Little Rooster tavern on Southeast Hawthorne and renamed it the Barley Mill Pub; in addition to a varied beer selection, the pub was known for Grateful Dead memorabilia and anniversary parties. The namesake “barley mill,” which can still be found onsite, was used by Chuck Coury at Cartwright Brewing Co., Portland’s first post-Prohibition brewery. It was originally a kitty litter grinder but is now used annually to grind the grain for anniversary ales.
One major event that impacted the trajectory of the beer industry in Oregon in the 1980s was legislation that married production and sales. Fred Bowman and Art Larrance (Portland Brewing), Dick and Nancy Ponzis (BridgePort Brewing) and their brewer Karl Ockert, Kurt and Rob Widmer (Widmer Brothers Brewing), and the McMenamins lobbied to legalize on-site sales. On July 13, 1985, Governor Vic Atiyeh signed Senate Bill 813, the “Brewpub Bill,” into law. It allowed brewers to make and sell beer on the same premises, key for increasing revenue and gaining new customers.
First brewpubs
The McMenamins took advantage of the new law, and by the early 1990s had opened several brewpubs, each with its own small brewing system attached. They opened the Hillsdale Brewery and Public House October 31, 1985 in the Southwest Portland neighborhood of Hillsdale. Not only was it their first brewery, it was also the first brewpub in Oregon since Prohibition. Known as “Captain Neon's Fermentation Chamber,” a nod to Mike McMenamin’s nickname, the first several batches of beer were brewed with old Tillamook dairy equipment. On October 25, 1985, Hillsdale's first brewer Ron Wolf, who had previously worked at Anchor Steam, brewed the first beer in a small copper kettle and called it "Hillsdale Ale.” It fell loosely into the “Special Bitter” classification of beer styles and was a malt extract brew. Hillsdale Ale was brewed 29 times at the Hillsdale location and 14 times at Cornelius Pass Roadhouse between 10/25/1985 and 11/28/1986. In the first year, several brewers moved through the facility and made Hillsdale Ale, including Ron Wolf (who only brewed 13 batches before leaving), Conrad Santos (who replaced Wolf as brew master), Mike McMenamin, Brian McMenamin, John Harris, Scott Barrow, and Alex Farnham (the company’s first female brewer).
In 1986, they purchased a 125-year-old farmhouse in Hillsboro, Oregon, and turned it into the Cornelius Pass Roadhouse. Later that same year, they opened the Lighthouse Brewpub in Lincoln City. The Fulton Pub and Brewery opened in Portland in June 1988 and the Highland Pub and Brewery opened in Gresham in July 1988.
Eventually, 27 breweries would operate under the McMenamins umbrella and they became a training ground for new brewers, many of whom have gone on to found breweries of their own. Alumni include John Harris (Hillsdale, Cornelius Pass Roadhouse), Jack Harris (Cornelius Pass Roadhouse, Lighthouse Brewery), Jason McAdam (Edgefield, Hillsdale, Crystal Ballroom), Alex McGaw (Fulton, Crystal Ballroom), Ben Nehrling and Kevin Lee (Edgefield, Highland, Kennedy School), and Mark Goodwin (Old Church, Crystal Ballroom).
In addition to serving beer at their brewpubs, the company also hosted festivals, concerts, and other public programming events at their properties, including Dad Watson’s Brew Fest, Edgefield Brew Fest, Highland Pub and Brewery Eurofest, Hillsdale Brew Fest, Lighthouse Brew Fest, Mid-Valley Brew Fest, and the Thompson Barley Cup.
Beer and Other Beverages
The McMenamins’ beers could be unsettling to brewing traditionalists; they used ingredients like apples, spices, and candy bars, as well as lesser used malts like Chocolate and Crystal. They introduced fruit beers to Oregon and early batches featured blackberries from the Hillsdale brewpub parking lot. Hand in hand with their experimentation, McMenamins developed three core beers that are brewed at all their breweries. Terminator Stout (1985) is a dark, English-style brew; Ruby (1986) is a light, raspberry-flavored beer; and Hammer Head (1986) is a classic Northwest Pale Ale. Ruby and Hammerhead are iconic company characters as well; artist Lyle Hehn created Ruby Witch and Hammerhead, and both are staples of murals, posters, and coasters.
Terminator Stout made its debut in 1985 at the Hillsdale Brewery & Public House as the 12th beer brewed. Old Hammerhead, as the strong ale was first called, was brewed January 25, 1986 and was the 37th brew and made with malt extract. John Harris, who later created Mirror Pond for Deschutes Brewery, was the first to make Hammerhead an “all-grain” beer. Harris was hired in 1987, and when they transitioned away from extract brewing, he decided to rewrite the Hammerhead recipe; besides changed the grain, he also added more hops. Ruby, originally called “Ruby Tuesday” before the food chain objected, was first brewed in 1986 and used 42 pounds of pureed Oregon raspberries.
The company made more than beer. They planted 3 acres of Pinot Gris fruit in 1990 and looked to regional vineyards for additional grapes; McMenamins Edgefield Winery was established in 1992 and began by making Rhone-style wines, including grenache and viognier. The Edgefield Winery produces 20 different white, rosé, dessert, and sparkling wines and supplies 350 tons of wine to McMenamins pubs. Also in 1992, and predating the boom by more than 20 years, McMenamins started making cider at the winery and in 2018 sold as much cider by volume as wine.
In 1995, they began experiments with distillation and made brandy under contract by Carneros Alembic, a California distillery owned by Remy-Martin. In 1997, they built their first distillery in an old root vegetable storage barn on the Edgefield property. Their most popular whiskey is Hogshead, but they make several others, including Money Puzzle, which is dry hopped with Teamaker hops (which has 0 IBUs) and is sweetened with blackberry honey harvest from hives on their property.
Historic preservation
The brothers’ love of historic structures directed business growth and community involvement, and preserving important historical buildings is integral to their business. When the McMenamins started, they couldn’t afford new construction, so they purchased old buildings, which came with stories. They employ a small staff of historians to research and document the history, and those are in turn incorporated into each property’s art, murals, menus, place names, and architectural details.
In 1987, the company opened its first theater, the Mission Theater Pub, in downtown Portland. The converted 1890s Swedish Tabernacle, a church-turned-union hall, was also the state's first theater pub. In 1991, McMenamins turned a 1927 art deco theater that was slated for demolition into a second pub and movie house. These businesses were significant and ushered in a new way to watch movies with beer and food.
In 1987, the brothers purchased Edgefield, which was built in 1911 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. They paid $560,000 and invested another $2.5 million to transform the farm's 80-year-old buildings into a multi-utility complex. Edgefield was once the Multnomah County Poor Farm, a self-sufficient facility with a meatpacking plant, power station, large rooming house, and infirmary. When the remodeled Edgefield Manor opened in 1991, the meatpacking plant was a brewery, power station a pub with a movie theater, infirmary a winery, and rooming house a 100-room hotel. There was also a meeting space, catering operation, restaurant called the Black Rabbit, herb and flower gardens, four liquor and cigar bars, distillery, golf course, and amphitheater. One of the more outstanding features of Edgefield, and something that would become the McMenamins' signature, was the extensive art installations created by local artists. Art popped up in surprising places throughout the complex (on ceilings, exposed heating pipes, eaves, fuse boxes) and showed local subjects (former residents, Northwest Indians, 19th-century brewers, the Columbia River Gorge). Within a few years, the company had a set of 12 freelance artists ready to work on new property acquisitions. Edgefield brewery is still the company's largest property.
In 1997, they purchased the Crystal Ballroom in Portland, which had been vacant for 30 years, and filled it with murals depicting the building's history, a brewpub, and a bar. The building was famous for its swaying dance floor, which sat on ball bearings. The Crystal Hotel was built in 1911 and became a dance hall and concert facility that hosted national music acts. Around the same time, they partnered with the Portland Development Commission and invested $4.5 million to remodel the Kennedy Elementary School. What was once a boarded-up building was transformed into a 35-room multi-use hotel with an onsite brewery, restaurant and four bars, a movie theater, a jazz hall, cigar bar, and soaking pool.
In 1999, the McMenamins opened McMenamins Hotel Oregon in downtown McMinnville, Oregon. The building was listed in the National Register of Historic Places and had been a hotel since its first two stories were erected in 1905; five years later, two more floors were added. In 1932, the hotel was renamed Hotel Oregon. In addition to renovating guest rooms, the McMenamins renovation added two bars and an art gallery with old photographs and new paintings that showed the history of the hotel and McMinnville.
Many property renovations followed. In 2000, they opened the Grand Lodge in Forest Grove, Oregon, which was formerly a Masonic home built in 1922. In 2001, they opened the 27 room Olympic Club Hotel and Theater, which was an expansion of the McMenamins Olympic Club Pub in downtown Centralia, Washington. The original Oxford Hotel was built in 1908 and Olympic Club was built in 1913. In 2003, they reopened the Rock Creek Tavern in Hillsboro, Oregon, which they had purchased in 1995 when the original tavern burned down. In 2016, the Anderson School in Bothell, Washington opened. The original Anderson School was built in 1931 and opened in 1936. In April of 2018, McMenamins opened their latest project, the Kalama Harbor Lodge in Kalama, Washington. Other properties include the White Eagle Saloon & Hotel in Portland, which was built in 1905; Boon’s Treasury in Salem, built in the 1860s; and Old St. Francis School in Bend, which opened in 1936.
ARCHIVAL COLLECTION INFORMATION The brew sheets and some event materials were provided to the Special Collections & Archives Research Center in 2015 and 2016 for digitization. The original items have been retained by McMenamins.
In addition to the brewery activity and the various beers released by McMenamins, this collection also contains information on events organized by the company, such as homebrew competitions and festivals. The cask held in the collection was used at the Oak Hills Pub and is decorated with a pen drawing created by brewer Chris Haslett. The photographs show art installation, artists, and property renovation.
The brew sheets and some event materials were provided to the Special Collections & Archives Research Center in 2015 and 2016 for digitization. The original items were retained by McMenamins.
Physical and electronic records are available for use in the Special Collections and Archives Research Center reading room.

I assume you’re picky about your beer but not about wine, you have a lot of friends and that your favorite meal of the day is breakfast.
Ooh, i am pretty picky about beer in that I only really drink lager and stout (and not ale) & I generally really fucking hate craft lager (but do like some craft stouts/porters).
I'm not picky about wine cos I don't drink it 😂 well I'll drink bubs (but only really like champagne or English sparkling, a prosecco or something maybe in a pinch. Cheap cava is vile 🤢) Red wine tastes like feet, white wine tastes like vinegar, and rosé tastes like sugar. And wine gives me terrible hangovers!! Not worth it.
I guess I do have a lot of friends. Tough one on the fave meal though - like I appreciate breakfast a lot cos it's the first one!!!! But I'm also generally like not at full energy for making it yknow? So maybe I appreciate lunch or dinner more... But if someone else is making the breakfast then yea probably!!
Anonymously or not tell me your assumptions
#I am fussy about beer#And extremely judgemental about craft lager bleugh#But I don't have very expensive tastes in beer?#Guinness in the winter#Modelo in the summer#I also love beer Laos dark#Which you can't buy here :(#I don't drink wine at all#But I'll drink champagne#I won't drink cheap cava#Well maybe a cheap rosé cava I can handle#But you can't keep going and going with bottles of it#A decent champagne does not hang you over so much#And I appreciate that!#Alcohol#Food#Oh hmm FOOD oooh#I have a lot of opinions about alcohol#And they're all vibrantly correct
