Many women can feel ashamed and alone in their journey. As such, these free workshops will provide a safe space for like-minded women to share their stories and express themselves on canvas. Through the 8 months of free workshops, women will start by choosing colours that best represent their feeling in relation to the subject in discussion, and will do some pattern research in order for them to find the right way to communicate with art and make a good understanding of what is the best art materials for them to use, we will then guide them through various ways to express themselves through art. Furthermore, working with Canal & River Trust and Brent Health Matters, we will be able to create a space in the final event going on in September available for women, and their families to learn more about this condition and to have extra space and an opportunity to express a general feeling that they have to face together day by day. At the end of the workshop, women will be able to showcase their work for the community to see and be able to speak of their life experiences if they wish to do so.
