That’s why ... (Part 3)

POV Fallacy:

I carry Encre and walk over his room, taking my time, I pose him on the bed and I make a bandage on his ankle, Encre stares me, I feel his fear, it's kind understandable.

Fallacy: (Looks at him into eyes). Ask me anything, I will answer you truthfully! If you want something, I will give it to you.

Encre: (Inhales). Why am I here? What will you do with me? What do you want? Drink my blood? Torture me? Kill me?

Fallacy: (Confused). What? No! Of course I won't! (Sighs). Maybe I have to tell you all the story if I want you to understand.

Encre: (Determined). Go ahead.

I am very amused, nobody in my castle is able to talk to me like he does. He is interesting. I like him.

Fallacy: Well, I am called the King of Vampires only because I am the oldest and the strongest of all of them but none obey me. Vampires obey to no one except themselves, they like to have fun by killing citizens in your village. I fight them as possible but I am alone, you can’t imagine how complicated it is for me and sometimes... it's too late already to save anyone. (Looks his hands). Since several decades, I decided to lock myself into the castle and never go out, alone I can't do anything so... (Shrug). I prefer to stay here and protect the most precious thing for me. (Smiles sadly). I’m a coward, heh.

Encre: (Shakes head slowly and smiles to him). I don’t think so, it’s a brave attitude! Just a little question, uhm... the most precious thing for you, it’s- your castle?

Fallacy: (Amused). No, my son, his name is Jasper. When he born, I stopped everything to take care of him. You can consider my acts as adorable but it was mostly completely selfish... I let innocent citizens be killed but, I prefer them than him, without hesitation. If I went on this war, some vampires would have tried to capture, torture or even kill my child because they knew he is my only weakness and I couldn’t let that happen.

Encre: (Poses a hand on Fallacy’s shoulder). I understand, and I’m sure you are a good person well... (Removes his hand). A good vampire at least, in any case if what you told me it’s true. (Takes a deep breathe). I-I... I don't know you well but I’m convinced you are really different of other vampires. (Wondering). Tell me, how can I be here if you said you locked yourself into your castle?

Fallacy: Yesterday was an exception, I’ve had a quarrel with Jasper, he wanted to go out of the castle, I answered no and our voices began to be louder and louder. Happily Suave came and calm down this little demon because I thought that I was going to stun him only to make him sleep during days!

Encre: (Surprised and gulp). ...

Fallacy: So that means I decided to go out on the forest to go for a stroll, but I heard someone call for help and I ran over the noise, there, I found three vampires around you. They will surely drink your blood and... I had to do something, I knew it. You looked heh... not just look, you were, different than all the citizens I saw and saved before, you are special! To conclude I killed them and carried you until my castle.

Encre: (Blushes). T-Thank you, I guess.

Fallacy: Why were you in the forest? It's so dangerous.

Encre: (Stays in silence). ...

Fallacy: Do you have someone in your Life? A husband? A child? Sisters or brothers which are waiting for you in the village? Just... a family?

Encre: (Smiles sadly). No, hehe... Je suis seul.

I am sorry for him and I understand what he feels, if I didn’t have Jasper to take care of, I would feel sad and my loneliness would have made me crazy! Even all the governesses and Suave, which are every day by my side in this castle, can’t fill me with... I don’t know, positive feelings? Happiness? Now I am thinking, nor Jasper can’t. By the way, Suave and him look really close, maybe too much in reality, but never mind. I look at Encre, if he could stay in this castle with us, with me, it would be awesome because for the first time since centuries, I feel reassured and in peace.

Fallacy: Do you have... friends? Someone which is maybe searching you in the forest or in your village?

Encre: (Shakes head). No one.

Fallacy: However, you aren't a monster, you’re someone kind so why you don’t have anyone?

Encre: (Shrug). I can't explain it, if nobody want to be my friend it's their choice or maybe I’m not as kind as what you supposed. (Smiles a bit). And I don’t have my own family because I didn’t find the good person yet to ‘create’ it.

Fallacy: (Stand up, serious, looks at Encre into eyes). So from now on, you will belong to me.

Encre: (Blushes speechless and looks at him). W-What!?
