maybe i am just a notorious pessimist when it comes to queer rep in media, but ena5 is pretty much exactly what i expected. this event is about ena’s perception of mizuki over everything. the whole point is that ena doesn’t care.

would i have liked for them to outright confirm mizuki as trans? absolutely i would, but i can also understand that they have been confirming it for the past four fucking years and you gotta be either illiterate or outright transphobic not to understand that. and as for the transphobic fans, giving them the time of day is not going to stop them. even if mizuki looked at the camera and said “i am a transgender woman”, we all know they wouldn’t have stopped. it would not have shut them up. the most we can do now is fucking ignore them and stop reposting rage bait that hurts us trans fans.

ena5 is good, at least for me. i’m happy with it. it’s not perfect, they were a little bit of a pussy about it, but it’s what i expected. i have enough faith in this game to know they’re not skirting around the truth or going back on anything.

I like the idea of the reoccurring colour palette in the new Ena5 card.

Ena doesn't think of Mizuki any differently. Her presence radiates with the same sense of comfort and patience and understanding that's she's always had from the start.

Those feelings, that shed a warm, orange light on the darkness that was Mizuki's secret.

...Something tells me she would have put forward those same feelings 'that time', if she had the chance.
