EmVoice go brr
DnB is a fun genre. Lyrics below (BIGSNAX SPOILERS-ish).
Kinda bug and kinda snack but you'll never get your time back
Ancestors step in They claimed it as Snacktooth Where Stone Grumps life begin Before they find the grim truth
Bugs in form of food Like eating pure caffeine In a blink they got screwed Turning one into a queen
I need a sacrifice I need a sacrifice and I hunger for that Bunger
(Bunch of aa's) (Intro verse)
Rituals commence A gigantic dirt hole In the Bugsnax dispense Grumps are swallowed clean and whole
Ribs, spines, and white bones Left too long, if not years Stuck in fine sand and stones Ancients shed crocodile tears

Audio
I recently bought and started experimenting with Emvoice, an audio plugin that’s like text-to-speech, but it sings. It also doesn’t sound robotic like other plugins.
I decided to try to create a fan-duet with Adam on his Owl City song Cinematic, this time using these alternate lyrics of the second verse of the song (sourced from the official video on Owl City’s YouTube channel):
There is another version floating out there on Reddit somewhere where my own terrible, not-warmed-up-at-all voice attempted to recreate the same thing, but I wanted to see what kind of quality I could get out of Emvoice. A few things to note:
The Emvoice voice I’m using is Keela (default).
While I have the full song available, I’m only uploading this small section to try to appease the Tumblr copyright bots.
The “Yeah” is missing in that one part because I couldn’t get it to sound with the right rhythm, no matter how I tried to arrange it, whenever the “Yeah” was present.
The last part is down an octave because it didn’t sound natural with it up in that high register (or with the other part in a lower register).
The Cinematic instrumental was sourced from the YouTube channel Owl City Karaoke.
Uploaded under fair use rationale.
I hope you enjoy! (And for my fellow ARG winners, I hope you’re as excited to unlock the studio door tomorrow morning as I am!)

man grimes and musk were perfect for each other shes really "working on a program of samples of my voice to sing and add samples to build your own" as this innovative new thing to capitalize off of a completely separate ai thing but like girl what you are making is a voicebank. it aint even a vocaloid what you just made is an utau and the software has existed for free since 2008
#porter robinson already did this like 3 months ago#and it was an actual vocaloid#the vocaloid to your emvoice

VoiSynthaural!
VoiSynthaural describes aural attraction to vocal and voice synthesizers! This was made with vocal synthesizers like Vocaloid, UTAU, Open Utau, Synthesizer V, Neutrino, Cevio, Deepvocal, Chipspeech, Alter/ego, Emvoice, Piapro studio, Voiceroid, RVC AI, NNSVS, Ace Studio, NiaoNiao, Maghni AI, and the like in mind, but can apply to any synthesized voice!
The colours don't have any meaning aside from both mimicking the Aural Attraction's flag and based off of colours I commonly see used in vocal synth program's UI.

Hi I've been meaning to ask, synthv/vsynth is like vocaloid roght?
Yes, it is! But Vsynth and Synth V are two different things.
If you're familiar with Vocaloid, then Synthesizer V (sometimes shortened to Synth V or SVS) is software similar to that. You input notes and lyrics and tune everything so the little robot singer sings.
Vsynth (short for virtual synthesizer or vocal synthesizer) is the catch-all term for these types of software, and the vsynth community uses it to refer to these programs, because there's a lot of them! Since the rise and popularity of Vocaloid, there's been a lot of competitors that have popped up in recent years, and they're all from different companies, so we can't refer to all of them as just Vocaloid (just like how we can't refer to every vsinger out there as Hatsune Miku - also fun fact! Miku hasn't been a Vocaloid in YEARS PIAPRO TOOK HER)
Here's a crash course:
VOCALOID is a vocal synth software by YAMAHA. It's the most popular one out there but sadly, it's fallen behind lately. It's not the thing that sings, it's the thing that makes the little singbots sing. It's the engine. Most of Vocaloid's voicebanks are provided by other companies - Hatsune Miku, Kagamine Rin and Len, and Megurine Luka are from Crypton (and they yoinked them back); Kaito and Meiko are native from Yamaha, Gumi is from Internet Co, etc, etc. You get it. The old versions of Vocaloid have been discontinued and are stupid hard to find. Their latest release is V6.
PIAPRO STUDIO is the engine Miku and the other Cryptonloids are now on.
CEVIO is another vsynth software out there. If you remember IA (you know, Miss KagePro herself?), she was pulled out of Vocaloid and moved to Cevio, and her sister ONE was released there too. CEVIO has come a long way since the IA days. We got shit like ROSE and POPY now.
youtube
ACE STUDIO is also another vsynth engine. I've never used it myself, but I know people who have. IIRC they're planning to use a subscription model (most software including Vocaloid are one-time purchases - you get the engine and the vb separately but you only have to get them once), so you get the engine and the voices but you pay a monthly fee. The English UI is still in development but there are community-made guides out there for those who want to use it. It's still in beta I think so you can test it out. It is SO GOOD.
youtube
And then there's SYNTHESIZER V STUDIO (which I personally, along with most of the community, think is THEE leading vsynth program currently). You still have to get the engine and vbs separately for this one but there's a Synth V Basic which is free (it just doesn't have a couple of features like crosslang, scripts, etc). Vocaloid Xingchen (Stardust) was moved here, and LORD. Listen to her
youtube
Synth V also has the most English vbs amongst all modern vsynths, I think, and the Pro version has crosslang so the vbs can sing in English, Chinese, Japanese (or another language if you get a dictionary - the community has made a lot of them and they've got them up on github). And they all sound FANTASTIC

Anyway, isn't it funky how far we've come since the first Vsynth sang Bicycle Built For Two?! :D
#vocaloid#synth v#VOCALOID is a rabbit hole man and ive been here for a decade get me out please#ANYWAY yamaha didnt take care of Vocaloid despite how successful it was so a couple of vb providers jumped ship and now#we got all these programs curbstomping vocaloid#like hello ASTERIAN????? WOWOWOWOWOWOW#ace studio sounds so fucking real with their soft voices it is MIND BOGGLING#talk to me about these singing robots any day they are so fascinating

Other than not hiring more artists , I’d assume the silhouettes is meant to appeal to edm users not “in the community” /caring about the moe mascot-ification tho I’m sure there’ll always be fan designs, tho other than a good deal versus hiring a real singer not sure how many would invest unless they were already big enough to have their patreon audience request it of them (I’ve seen a handful of ppl make Emvoice reveal vids and those are also without design but I’m pretty sure those are also sponsored by the company too)
see i lich rally always support yamaha in its silly quest to make vocaloid a weebless professional progrum or whatever the fuck theyre trying to accomplish but it's like. in order to do that they would have to make the engine/vbs pull their weight properly first lol
#yes vocaloid is my primary vocal synth progrum. yes i hate on it at every opportunity. we exist#i think i talked about this in the past also im very tired ill shut up for nyaow#ask#vocaloid

Owl City ft. Taylor Swift - Honey and the Bee (AI-Generated)
After Adam released his version of Taylor Swift's song Enchanted, but before his album All Things Bright and Beautiful came out, Adam Young of Owl City was interviewed by US Weekly about him and Taylor. When asked if he had contemplated emailing Swift again, Adam replied:
I was hoping to work with her on this new record. I had this great song that I was dying to have her voice in so I tried to get it on there but she was in Europe or Australia somewhere, very busy which I totally get having been on this wild roller coaster myself for the past two years. I can’t even imagine what she’s up against so it didn’t work out, but maybe the next record. It would be awesome to feature her on a song someday.
While it was never confirmed what song that could be, many believe the song in question was "Honey and the Bee", featuring long-time female vocalist and collaborator Breanne Düren. Unfortunately, that collab with Taylor Swift was never realized... until now!
By the power invested in me, by the power of So-VITS-SVC, I present to you a recreation of what could have been "Honey and the Bee"! Parts of the song fed into the AI were re-generated via Keela from Emvoice, but most of the audio fed into the AI was from Breanne's original performance, separated into an acapella using Demucs and hand separated from Adam's parts in Audacity. Further mixing was done in Logic Pro X. Credits go to @Filthycasual on the AI Hub Discord for the 101K Taylor Swift model used for this endeavor!

Hey Y’all :) I made this playlist in response to the trend of someone saying Vocaloid is dying every few months. It isn’t And if anyone tries to convince you it is you can pull up this playlist in response to show them all the wonderful producers making music now. This playlist consists of one song from every small producer I could think of plus a few larger producers that are still active, plus Luo Tianyi’s Olympic Opening Ceremony performance from this year. It’s around 450 songs long as of right now and will continue to grow as I discover more producers and continue to support the community. If you have any suggestions for producers/songs let me know, I’m always open to new music. My watch later is overflowing lol
