Ok hi back to this thought to say I just realised if done right an Emu cover might actually sound rly good and would also make me sob my eyes ok bye

Y'know I can say I want sekai covers based on how good they are and not for character reasons as much as I want, and I'm not even gonna pretend I could ever like any other vocals for this song more than the original, but also if Kanade sung it. I would fall apart that would end me Id cry so fucking hard and that's probably not even a joke fmgnfndjf

#rat rambles #its like soooo impossible tho but like Id actually rly like to hear emu sing smth like this even otside of my bias for the song #mainly Im just desperate for an emu cover I actually like since most of them are just very. yep that sure is emu to me #he has a rly cute and fun voice but it just. idk I always feel like shes stuck in this lil pitch box that makes her voice sound kinda flat #a lot of the time which is ultimately because of the lovely voice acting while singing problem but still #emus va is so good at her job and her work on emu is amazing but I do wish she was slightly less limited while singing for emu #there are other characters that have similar pitch box problems as emu (cough cough akito and an (except for when they dont)) but emu is #the only one where Im pretty confident its mostly a voice acting issue #which is why a song like this seems appealing to me for an emu cover since its more spoken than sung allowing for more flexabliity #but it does have some singing thats more soft and thats more of a I just would pray that itd sound good thing fgmfjfndjfh #I think it Could I rly do think emu could sound good but itd depend #Im still so mad that 88 got duets btw I actually rly wanted an emu solo for it #I dont think I would ever listen to a solo over the group version but sges responsible for some of my favorite vocal bits #her voice just feels so much more dynanic in some parts to me idk #also for the record rui also always sounds the exact same but the difference is that he occationally gets songs that r good for him #tsukasa will sound bad until he sounds bad in a good way until he just randomly fucking pops off and genuinely sounds good and then he goes #back to sounding bad and being barely hearable in duets #and nene. sounds like nene (her voice is another one thats nice but doesnt have any covers where it stands out much)#as a group they work amazingly together (given that theyre actually singing as a unit) but on there own imo they geberally struggle more #but I still ADORE their good group covers so so much so Ill forgive them <3 #Im very desperate for emu and nene to get solos that I actually like tho like pls-#saki finally got her first solo that I actually genuinely like enough to use and the fact that she got that before them is wild to me #ig what Ive learned from thinking abt saki voice is that maybe she should be emo more idk /j
