I am not mad at Charlotte. She’s a great wrestler, and she’s doing her job and doing it well. So, no I’m not gonna say fuck Charlotte and get mad at her.

I am pissed off beyond belief however, at the WWE creative team for this latest bullshit turn of events in a long steady stream of bullshit decisions regarding not just Asuka, but the women’s division as a whole.

The women’s evolution feels like one step forward, two steps back. Remember when not that long ago SD Live was to dominant show because of the women’s roster? What happened? Remember when Asuka, Naomi, Sonya Deville, and Riott Squad we’re legit feared because they were that damn good and impossible to beat? Remember when Asuka has treated with the respect she earned by having the longest undefeated streak in WWE? I remember that.

I remember RAW pushing Asuka because she earned it. I remember my heart breaking when Charlotte beat her at Wrestlemania, but being ok with it because damn that match was spectacular and both of those women pushed themselves to the limit for it and it showed.

So yeah. If they’d had Asuka lose her title after actually giving the push of defending it (name a single serious match Asuka was given to defend her title) I wouldn’t be so angry. But the way WWE creative team keeps consistently undervaluing Asuka and the rest of the women’s roster outside of the handful they are giving everything to is complete bullshit. Especially bullshit is taking that title from Asuka when Charlotte is already being pushed for a separate main event.

ASUKA. DESERVES. BETTER.
