Sigh no more, ladies, sigh no more. Men were deceivers ever, One foot in sea, and one on shore, To one thing constant never. Then sigh notso, but let them go

FILM & TV YESTERDAY, TODAY, TOMORROW: Day 4 – URL ⟶ Elinor Dashwood (+ bonus Edward Ferrars) | Sense and Sensibility (1995)
You talk of feeling idle and useless. Imagine how that is compounded when one has no hope and no choice of any occupation whatsoever.

This lovely crown was most likely made for Henry V in 1989, where it was was worn by Emma Thompson as Princess Katherine de Valois.
In 1992, it was used in Carry On Columbus by Holly Aird as Maria, though it is hard to clearly distinguish it with the additional adornment that it is worn with.
It appeared a third time in the 1998 film Ever After, worn by Drew Barrymore as Danielle de Barbarac.
It has since been sold through Propstore, which described the piece as follows:
This crown is made from a metal band with repeating fleur-de- lis style pieces, all of which have been covered in a light brown fabric. The interior of the band is lined with a suede-like fabric for comfort purposes and the inside of the floral pieces has been finished in a metallic faux-gold. The exterior of the crown is heavily decorated with faux-gold trimmings, metallic floral shaped beads, faux-pearls and pink coloured beads, matching her elaborate pink gown. Two small clips have been attached either side allowing the crown to be securely attached to the actresses’ head and a small label reading “F” is located on the inside of the crown, indicating the side that should be worn at the front of the head.
The metallic faux-gold has worn away on the inside of some of the fleur-de-lis pieces and wear to the finish of some of the decoration. However, in spite of this wear, the crown remains in very good condition and is a beautifully ornate piece.
