hey guys

hello everyone. it’s been a while, hasn’t it? I haven’t been active on this account since... march maybe? yikes. But it’s a new year (2021 baby!) and i felt like i had to finally had to explain my long ass hiatus.

why did you go on hiatus?                                                                                     honestly? i lost all my interest in sanders sides. the long gaps between episodes made it hard to keep interest, and most of the recent content just made me,,, sad? i started watching the series, honestly, because it was a feel good show. there was conflict, but it got resolved by the end of the episode. however, the more recent videos haven’t reached that resolution, and the longer the wait, the longer it feels like the conflict was never-ending. (if that makes sense!)

will you come back?                                                                                               probably not? my interest in the source content has faded. i almost came back when the flirting with anxiety video came out but even that didn’t give me any inspiration. also,,, the astrosphere of the fandom is just,,, kinda bad?? the purity culture, the refusal to acknowledge the racism within the fandom, and the recent events with thomas in the animators... all of these events have kinda made me too uncomfortable to rejoin. however, i might try to continue writing ashes ashes!

final words?                                                                                                             for my fellow writers: if a poc (or any other minority group) criticizes a portrayal/character/anything else within your writing, you apologize, correct the mistake, and do research so you avoid it the next time. don’t make it about yourself, and don’t make the same mistake again. 

for my fellow content consumers: if a poc (or any other minority group)(or anyone, actually, but this is specific)  criticizes your favorite creator’s behavior they are not trying to “ruin the content” or “cancel the creator.” that creator has made a mistake, they continue the same behavior they have ruined their own content. it is not the ‘whistleblower’ (for lack of other term)’s fault. 

fanders: stop defending every single one of thomas’s actions. he’s a thirty year old white man. don’t baby him, ESPECAILLY with the animators. he makes mistakes, and he can face those mistakes without you attacking anyone who criticizes him. 

those, of course, these don’t apply to everyone but. if the shoe fits, change yourself so it doesn’t anymore.

Channel Update

Hello everyone! As I'm sure you've noticed, we haven't uploaded any videos in a while. Due to some recording issues and real life things getting in the way, we had to take a break. During that time we started thinking of ways we can revamp/change up our let's plays.

It may be a while before we're back to business, but rest assured that when we do have things figured out we'll be better than ever.

That all being said, this blog will be on hiatus for a while too.

A big thank you to everyone who's supported us this far. I hope everyone has a good summer!

because??? she didn’t need too??? she obviously had no interest and kaz should have picked up on that. she was also CLEARLY uncomfortable every time she was near him. also- her being the ultimate princess and genuinely being a confident person really doesn’t apply here, because when you’re getting stalked and harassed its much harder to be confident in tell someone off because you’re scared. Sonia canonical calls him her stalker, which implies she was somewhat fearful of him. and honestly- she just. owes him nothing, after the way he treated her.

oh i could go on for HOURS but the one that been annoying me the most recently is “kaito (in chapter four) was willing to let everyone die just to prove Kokichi wrong!” when it’s more like “kaito believed in Gonta (in chapter four) until he couldn’t anymore because that’s his personal philosophy and it would have been super out of character for him to give up on Gonta without a fight” it was kaito choosing his morals, not wanting to one up Kokichi

also anything abt kaito being homophobic but that’s another day!

It was about 2016 or 2017 maybe. Me, my mom, dad, and my friend went to Lowe’s (which is kind of like Home Depot). My friend and I decided to walk around and look. We came across the showers you can get and let me just say... he got in and I took a picture for him and things went smoothly. When I got in there, crap went south. I somehow didn’t know you weren’t supposed to actually grab the shower heads?? I grab it and it comes off the wall. 😂 Needless to say we both ran while I asked the question, “was that supposed to happen?”
