I came here by myself to see you and Cam, and cause I wanted to talk to you.” Emily says in a rush and Piper nods, her eyes widening a bit. “Sure Emmy, let’s sit down,” she says, gently leading Emily to the table. 

Emily takes a deep breath before looking at Piper. “My moms are acting so weird since we came back from Mt. Komorebi. They’re arguing, and Ma is cold to Mom and I caught Mom crying in her room but she wouldn’t tell me why. I just don’t know what’s going on and I’m worried that maybe-” Emily gulps. “Maybe they're going to divorce.” She says out loud, feeling a sense of relief to say it. “Oh Emmy,” Piper says gently, reaching over to put her hand on Emily’s. “Arguing doesn’t always mean a divorce. Maybe they’re just going through a tough time and working through their issues. I think if it’s bothering you this much, you should sit down with both of them and talk it out.” She adds, and Emily nods slowly, her shoulder relaxing slightly. 

There’s a slight silence as Emily thinks, and she gives Piper and Cam a sheepish smile. “I feel silly now that I came here over this,” she admits and Cam shakes her head. “No, it’s completely fine, Ems. Pipes and I have arguments sometimes too, but the main thing is we work through the issues together and I’m sure your moms are doing the same thing,” She says, and Emily nods. “Tell you what, I’m going to see my auntie Iseul and I’ll ask her what’s going on, she’s best friends with your mom so maybe she knows,” Cam says and Emily smiles. “That’d be great, thanks Cam, and thanks Pie,” she says, using the nickname she’d given Piper as a toddler. “Of course, Emmy, and you’re always welcome here,” Piper says and Cam nods.
