y’all wanna talk about how in ultraman rising they use glasses as a way to show how characters are closed off from eachother/the world?

cause i can go on about that. FOR EXAMPLE

ken when we fist see him is only seen in those reflective sun glasses, until about half~ way through the movie (around when he goes through that montage with Emi and the call with the reporter). But in the beginning he is very closed off, detached, and full of himself. and once he developed as a character, I believe he never wears the reflective sunglasses again.

and then I believe his coach also wears the reflective glasses when he and Ken first meet and then you see him lose the glasses later in the film.

AND THEN HIS DAD. professor sato. is wearing just regular glasses, but if we put that into the context of what I’ve been talking about now, it shows that he is opening up and he wants to make those connections and is trying to connect to people.
