Dog Wellness Check from Veterinarian
Ensuring your dogâs health is a priority for every pet owner, and a wellness check with a veterinarian is one of the best ways to stay ahead of potential issues. These check-ups go beyond just vaccinations, offering a full assessment of your dogâs overall well-being. From monitoring weight and dental health to checking for any signs of discomfort or disease, regular wellness visits can help catch problems early, keeping your furry friend happy and active for years to come. Whether youâre adopting a new pet or simply ensuring your companion stays in tip-top shape, scheduling a dog wellness check is an essential step in maintaining a long and healthy life for your dog.
Our Animal Hospital Veterinary Services in Canton, Ga
Comprehensive Canine Health Assessment
A dog wellness check from a veterinarian provides a thorough evaluation of your petâs overall health. During the check, vital signs such as heart rate, temperature, and respiration are monitored, while the veterinarian also examines the skin, coat, eyes, ears, and teeth. This helps detect early signs of illness, ensuring your dog remains in optimal health and can enjoy a happy life.
Preventative Care Recommendations for Dogs
Your veterinarian will assess your dogâs health and offer tailored preventative care recommendations during a wellness check. This may include updating vaccinations, suggesting parasite prevention treatments, or adjusting diet and exercise plans. Regular check-ups are essential to prevent health issues and give your dog the best chance at a long, healthy life.
Dog Behavior and Activity Assessment
A wellness check isnât just about physical health; it also includes a behavioral and activity assessment. The veterinarian looks for changes in your dogâs behavior, energy levels, and overall mood, which may indicate underlying issues such as discomfort or stress. Early detection allows for better management and treatment to maintain your petâs well-being.
Senior Dog Wellness
As dogs age, they face new health challenges. Senior dog wellness checks are more focused, involving blood tests, joint examinations, and monitoring for age-related conditions such as arthritis, heart disease, or kidney problems. Regular visits ensure that your senior dog receives the proper care and attention to live a comfortable, happy life well into their later years.
The Importance of Regular Dog Wellness Check-Ups
Regular wellness check-ups are essential for maintaining your dogâs health and preventing issues before they become serious. Just like humans, dogs can develop health problems that may not show visible signs early on. A wellness check helps your veterinarian catch issues like dental disease, joint problems, or heart conditions in their early stages. These visits also ensure your dogâs vaccinations are up to date, offering protection from various diseases. Preventative care is key to ensuring a long, healthy life for your dog.
Routine wellness checks allow you to discuss any behavioral changes, diet, or lifestyle concerns with your vet. These visits provide an opportunity for expert advice on everything from nutrition to exercise routines. By staying on top of regular check-ups, youâll ensure your dogâs well-being and give them the best chance for a healthy future.
What to Expect During Your Dogâs Wellness Visit
A typical wellness visit to the vet involves a thorough examination of your dogâs overall health. The veterinarian will check their weight, temperature, and heart rate, ensuring that everything is within the healthy range. They will also examine your dogâs coat, skin, eyes, ears, and teeth for any signs of abnormalities. If your dog is due for vaccinations, this will be the perfect time to ensure theyâre up to date. Blood work and fecal tests may be recommended to check for parasites or underlying health issues.
The vet will ask about your dogâs lifestyle, including diet, exercise habits, and any behavioral changes youâve noticed. This conversation allows the vet to understand your dogâs unique needs better and offer tailored advice. Itâs important to be honest about any concerns you may have to ensure the wellness visit is as effective as possible in maintaining your dogâs health.
Key Canine Health Indicators Your Veterinarian Monitors
During your dogâs wellness check, your veterinarian will monitor several key health indicators to assess their overall well-being. These include weight and body condition, as being overweight or underweight can lead to a variety of health problems. Your vet will also check your dogâs heart rate, temperature, and respiration to ensure theyâre functioning normally. An assessment of the skin and coat can reveal signs of allergies, infections, or parasites, while an eye and ear exam can help detect common issues such as infections or hearing problems.
Dental health is another crucial aspect thatâs often overlooked by dog owners. During the wellness visit, the vet will check for signs of gum disease, tooth decay, or other dental problems. Routine checks of these health indicators allow your vet to provide early treatment, which can significantly improve your dogâs quality of life. By monitoring these key areas, youâll ensure that your pet remains in optimal health.
How Dog Wellness Checks Can Prevent Future Health Issues
Preventative care is one of the greatest benefits of regular wellness checks for your dog. By addressing potential health concerns early, you can avoid costly treatments and complications down the road. For example, routine blood work may identify kidney or liver issues before they cause noticeable symptoms, enabling early intervention that can extend your dogâs life. Regular check-ups also help prevent parasites such as fleas, ticks, and worms, which can lead to more severe health issues if left untreated.
Additionally, a wellness visit allows for a proactive approach to vaccination schedules. Ensuring your dog is up to date with vaccinations protects them from preventable diseases like parvovirus, rabies, and distemper. The veterinarian may also provide advice on maintaining a healthy diet and exercise routine, helping prevent obesity, joint problems, and other chronic conditions. By investing in wellness checks, youâre investing in your dogâs long-term health and happiness.
Signs Your Dog Might Need a Wellness Check Sooner
While annual wellness checks are recommended, there are certain signs that may indicate your dog needs to see the vet sooner. If your dog is showing signs of lethargy, loss of appetite, or unusual weight loss, itâs important to schedule an appointment right away. Changes in behavior, such as increased aggression or anxiety, can also signal underlying health concerns that need attention. Other signs to watch for include vomiting, diarrhea, coughing, or difficulty breathing, as these could point to more serious health issues.
If your dog is showing signs of discomfort, such as limping, avoiding physical activity, or whining when touched, it could indicate joint or muscle problems that need prompt attention. Ear infections or unusual discharge from the eyes can also be signs of an infection or underlying condition. Early intervention for these symptoms can help prevent more serious issues and improve your dogâs quality of life.
Choosing the Right Veterinarian for Your Dogâs Wellness Care
Choosing the right veterinarian is essential to ensuring your dog receives the best care during their wellness visits. Look for a vet who is knowledgeable, compassionate, and takes the time to listen to your concerns. Itâs important to choose a clinic that offers comprehensive services, including preventative care, emergency care, and diagnostic testing. You want a vet who is up to date with the latest medical advances and who offers a warm, caring environment for your dog.
Consider the location and accessibility of the veterinary clinic as well. You may need to make frequent visits for vaccinations, tests, or follow-up appointments, so a conveniently located vet can make life easier. Donât be afraid to ask questions about the vetâs experience and approach to dog wellness care. Building a relationship with a trusted veterinarian ensures that your dog will always receive top-notch care.

â I need a doctor, oh! batboys x medic!reader

fluff, gn!reader
they surprise you while you work
a/n: i was inspired by this one tiktok that says âmy husband thought he could escape me so i made an appointment â i thought it was so cute haha
Bruce Wayne
Breaktime, finally. You sighed and leaned into a chair in your personal break room. You loved your job as a medic, but the problem is it was just so tiring. You closed your eyes, your body relaxing to the comfortable silence around you.
Being a Vigilante by night and a doctor by day was a very tiring job.
Sleep was almost non-existent on work days, the most you got was three to six hours. You looked like an ill patient instead of a doctor at this point. But the hospital wasnât busy today, so you went to the break room to relax.
Tap tap tap.
There was something tapping on the window, but you didnât care to check whatever it was, so you continued to close your eyes.
Tap tap tap tap tap tap!
ââŠâ
The tapping sounded more aggressive now, you groaned and turned your chair to the window.
âOh my god..â
And there he was, in his signature bat suit and with that grim look on his face. You immediately walked up and opened the window. You helped Bruce sit on a chair as he tries not to fall on you.
He removed his helmet and there were a series of injuries and bruises on his poor face.
âWhat happened? I thought you didnât have any patrols till later?â you frowned, your hands holding his face so you view him better.
He replied back with his gruff and clearly intimidating voice âDuty calls.â yeah of course.
You sighed, âWell.. you stay here okay? Iâll find something to patch you up, Iâll lock the door so no one sees you.â Bruce gently holds the hand that was touching his face.
âThank you.â
Jason Todd
You had just finished patching up a patient in the emergency room, you wiped the sweat off your forehead and stretched. Today was a busy day, but it was normal. There are patients getting admitted left to right and your job was to tend to them.
âUm, doc..â one of the nurses approached you, you looked at her âYes? Whatâs the matter?â you asked.
She fidgeted âUh, we have a patient and he told us he specifically wanted to be treated by you..?â
Your brow raised âMe specifically? Do I know who they are?â you asked, your tone was skeptical.
The nurses led you to the room this mysterious patient was in. You opened the door to see Jason with his full suit on with injuries all over. As well as flowers on his left handâŠ
Your eyes widened as you immediately locked the door.
âHi, Doc.â Jason greets casually âJason why are you here? Hold on, let me take a look.â you said as you took a good look at his scars.
âNearest safe house was 2 kilometers away and this was way near.â he replied, for a moment you blankly stared at the flowers on his hand. âWhat are these for?â
Jason looked at the flowers then at you âI thought I could give you a gift on the way.â he shrugs.
Dick Grayson
âHere's the next patient doc, theyâre in your office.â the nurse gives you the details about your next patient. You smiled and took the folder âThank you.â
You loved your job as a vet, you got along well with your sweet co-workers and you had this passion with animals.
As you read the document in your hands, you found all of this strangely familiar. You opened the door to the room and yep you're right.
There he was, with his signature goofy grin and the adorable dog in his arms.
âHey Doc, looking good as always.â he slyly says, Haley barked clearly excited to see you as well. You scoffed, but you canât help but smile as well.
You know for a fact Haley is definitely well, you and Dick had just strolled her around the park a day ago. You did the checkup anyway and nothing was wrong.
âShe could use a vaccine, she needs her rabies shots.â Dick says, you put your stethoscope down and nodded. âOkay, Iâll be right back.â you said.
But Dick was not satisfied. âHey, hey, hey, miss, vet, doc?â you stopped your tracks and turned to him âNo kiss? What is this?â you sighed as you walked back to him and kissed him on the cheek.
âSee you in a minute doc.â he grins, you said nothing and quickly walked away.
The nurses and staff snickered and teased you all day, you couldnât do anything but flush at their attempts of teasing you.

Best Practice - a Shigaraki x f!Reader fic
Taking the night shift at a 24-7 emergency vet hospital isn't for the faint of heart, and you've seen a lot of crazy things. But on one particular shift, it's Tenko Shimura and his service dog who make the biggest impression on you. a silly little fic I wrote while I was at the emergency vet with my dog. No quirks AU, volunteer!reader, pet owner!Shigaraki, Mon-chan lives (and so do any other animals mentioned in this fic). 3.9k words.
The waiting room sounds like hell in a handbasket, but give that this is the only 24/7 emergency vet in the prefecture, thatâs not a surprise. Youâve been volunteering here since you got out of school, and thereâs never been an overnight shift where things havenât been completely unhinged. Cats yowling. Dogs barking. Rodents squeaking and birds trilling back and one enormous monitor lizard thatâs going berserk inside its crate, scaring every other animal in the same bank of seats. But as bad as the pets are, theyâre nowhere near as bad as the owners.
In the five years youâve been volunteering here, youâve seen probably thousands of people come in with their sick and injured pets, and none of them come in at their best. Nobodyâs at their best when theyâre scared or sad, and having to wait and watch as other pets are triaged and brought back from exams. You still have your vet tech certification left over from before you went to school, so you know how to take vitals and do basic assessments, but your real job on every shift is to manage the owners. Some nights itâs easier than others.
Tonight isnât one of those nights. In addition to half a dozen pets already in the exam rooms, thereâs a couple and their two kids with their elderly cat, all four of whom look like theyâre hanging by a thread. In the back corner, there are a couple of kids who rescued a tanuki that got hit by a car. Theyâre also hanging by a thread, and probably in need of a few preemptive vaccinations to boot. The guy with the monitor lizard is making everybody nervous. People keep filtering in and out, getting stat-triaged or sent to the waiting room, and with every person who gets called back, the guy your age with the corgi whoâs been here for four hours loses his temper a little bit more.
You feel like you should check in with him, but one thing and another keeps you busy, and nobody points you his way until one of the dads from the cat family catches your attention. âHey, not to bother you, I know youâre busy ââ
âHow long have you been waiting?â you ask at once. âHas Snow Whiteâs condition changed at all?â
âNo, sheâs about the same, but ââ The blond man nods towards the bank of chairs across from his family. âCan you get a handle on that guy? Heâs scaring my kids, and my husbandâs this close to breaking his nose.â
You take a second look at Corner Guy â or Corgi Guy, if you go by the dog. Corner Guy is your age, skinny, with messy blue hair under an oversized hoodie. His clothes are old, but the blanket heâs wrapped the corgi in is new, and clean. With the dog bundled up that way, you canât see whatâs wrong, but itâs resting quietly in its ownerâs arms. Every so often, it twists around to lick his face.
The dog is cute, but Corner Guyâs middle-distance death stare isnât, and the blond manâs husband and kids are right in his eyeline. The least you can do is give him someone else to glare at. You make your way over and park yourself in the seat right across from him. âHi. Have you been triaged yet?â
Corner Guyâs mouth, scarred at one corner, twists into a sneer. âWhat do you think?â
âHow long has it been since somebody checked in with you?â you ask. You get a death stare all your own in response. âIâm sorry about the wait. If you tell me how long itâs been I might be able to hurry things along.â
âChecked in with me? I checked in. They took my money and told me to wait.â Corner Guyâs voice takes on a note of bitterness. âThese people are idiots. I heard them, over there â their dog got hit by a car this morning and theyâre just now coming in? Their dog gets to see the vet first because they were stupid and I wasnât?â
You get this kind of thing a lot. You also get the sense that Corner Guy wonât appreciate being told how triage works. You deliberately turn your attention to the corgi in its blanket. âWhoâs this?â
âHer nameâs Mon.â
âCan I say hi?â you ask. Corner Guy nods, and you reach out to scratch Monâs ears. She gives your hand a good sniff with a cold, wet nose before she lets you pet her, and as soon as you touch her, you can tell by the softness of her fur that sheâs well cared-for. âWhat a sweetheart. How old is she?â
âThree.â
âStill a baby, huh?â You canât help slipping into puppy voice. You got over being embarrassed about that a long time ago. âWhat brings you two in tonight?â
âAt the stupid pet store. Some asshole ran her foot over with his cart, and sheâs been crying ââ Corner Guyâs eat-shit expression shifts into misery. âThe cashier said to come here, so I did. And Iâve just been sitting here, and I know sheâs in pain â and everybody and their cat gets to see the vet before Mon does.â
Now you get why the blond guyâs husband wants to break Corner Guyâs nose. âCan I see her paw? Which one is it?â
âFront one. On the right.â Corner Guy unwraps the blanket, careful not to jostle Mon, but she whimpers anyway. âSorry. Sorry ââ
âOkay, sweetie. Can I see your paw?â You forgot how short corgi legs are. Thereâs a risk that the cart got more than just her paw. âOof, okay. That looks like it really hurts. How long ago did that happen?â
âFour hours.â
So he really did come straight here. âWhat happens if she tries to put weight on it?â
âShe hasnât,â Corner Guy says. âI picked her up when it happened, and, uh â I didnât put her down again.â
âAnd you wrapped her up. Thatâs good,â you say. âIf she hasnât moved it around a lot, itâs a lot less likely to get displaced. How long ago did it stop bleeding?â
Corner Guy shrugs. The blanket has a decent-sized stain, but the stain looks like itâs drying. âOkay,â you say. âIâm going to go talk to the doctors and see if I can get one to come out and take a look at her. They might tell you itâs better to be treated by your regular vet, if you can get an appointment ââ
âI made one for tomorrow,â Corner Guy says. âI wanted to see if she could get, like â dog Advil or something. I know sheâs hurt even if sheâs not crying.â
âOh.â Thatâs a lot quicker than a cast and x-rays, and the vets on duty will be really happy to hear that Corner Guy has a vet appointment lined up already. âHang on. Iâll be right back.â
You confirm it with the front desk, then come back with the good news. âI can take her back right now and the vet will do a quick exam. Then theyâll do a splint and some painkillers, and that should get you through to tomorrow. Sound okay?â
Corner Guy hesitates. âYouâre going to take her away?â
âItâs kind of busy back in the exam rooms, so we have the owners wait out here.â
âNo,â Corner Guy says. âSheâs my service dog. I have to come too.â
âService dog?â Youâve never seen a service corgi before, but when Corner Guy folds back the blanket, you see that Monâs wearing a vest, with a seal on it that you recognize. That organization trains service dogs specifically for PTSD. âOkay. Right. So maybe itâs best if you carry her.â
Corner Guy follows you through the packed waiting room and past the authorized personnel only doors. It occurs to you that youâve forgotten something. âI got Monâs name. Whatâs yours?â
âShimura,â Corner Guy says. âShimura Tenko.â
Shimura Tenko settles down a lot once you get him and Mon into an exam room. People usually calm down when their pet finally gets some medical attention, but Shimura looks like heâs doing more than just calming down â his face is pale and his hands are shaking, and Mon starts squirming in his arms, letting out little whines as she tries to reposition. Sheâs still at work, even though sheâs hurt. You hesitate a second, then step in. âI can help turn her. Whereâs she trying to go?â
He doesnât answer, but youâve seen service dogs from this organization before, and you know what they usually do to help their handlers. You help Mon rotate from sprawled in Shimuraâs lap to a more upright position, and she lays her head on his chest, over his heart. It takes a few moments, but you see Tenko begin to relax.
âAre you two going to be okay in here for a second?â You donât get a nod, but you also donât get a no, and you duck out onto the treatment floor in search of one of the vets on call.
The first vet you encounter is Dr. Fukukado, which is what you were hoping for. Sheâs got the best bedside manner. You wait for her to sign the discharge paperwork on the parakeets she was treating, the make your case. âI have a patient in Exam 10. Her paw got run over by a shopping cart and it looks pretty bad.â
âPoor thing.â Dr. Fukukadoâs mouth turns down at the corners. âThat would be a stat if we werenât so busy ââ
âSheâs a service dog,â you interrupt as politely as possible. âFrom New Horizons.â
âPTSD. Howâs her handler doing?â
âNot great,â you say. You feel confident in that one. âThey were waiting for a while. I thought he was just being a jerk, but once I brought them back here he sort of ââ
Collapsed is probably too strong, but youâre too tired to come up with the clinical terminology. Sometimes after a night at the emergency vet, you forget that you even have a day job, let alone that itâs as a social worker. âOkay. Hereâs what weâll do,â Dr. Fukukado says. âIâll add my name to his case and get in there as quickly as possible. In the meantime, you stick with them. Try to keep them both calm. Triage should be thinning out soon.â
Hopefully. Itâs two am. You stick around long enough for Dr. Fukukado to add her name to the chart, then head back to Exam 10. Mon and Shimura havenât moved. âHi,â you say. âIâve got some good news. The doctorâs put her name on Monâs chart, so sheâs next in line. Is there anything I can do to help in the meantime?â
Shimura Tenko doesnât answer. You notice that his lips are really dry. âI can get water if you want it, or something else to drink. We have a coffee machine, so thereâs tea, coffee, mochas, cappuccinos, hot chocolate ââ
âThat.â
Okay. Heâs talking. âGotcha. One hot chocolate, coming right up.â
You pick your way through the waiting room, checking on a few new patients in the mean time. You stop by the family with the cat to make sure theyâre all right, cast a wary eye at the guy with the lizard, quickly triage a pair of kittens someone brought it, and grab Tenkoâs hot chocolate. Youâve hit first-name terms with him in your head. Thatâs â not normal.
When you get back to the exam room, Tenko looks like heâs doing a little better. More color in his face, at least. âI thought you werenât coming back.â
âNo, I just got a bit held up.â You hand over the hot chocolate and watch him take a sip. His hands arenât shaking as badly as before. âHow are you two doing?â
âHer footâs still messed up.â Tenko takes another sip. âItâs my fault.â
âIt can feel like that sometimes, but I bet it wasnât,â you say. âSomebody ran her foot over. That wasnât you.â
âI shouldnât have put her down.â Tenkoâs voice flattens. âI know I carry her too much. She wants to walk. I thought she might want to walk around in there. If I hadnât put her down she wouldnât have gotten hurt, so itâs my fault.â
âLetting your dog walk around is a reasonable thing to do,â you counter. âNot looking where youâre going and hitting somebody elseâs dog with your cart isnât. That personâs the problem, not you.â
âIâve only had her for two months,â Tenko says. His voice pulls tight. âTheyâre going to take her away.â
âWe see service dogs in here a lot,â you say. âNobody comes to take them away. Everybody knows accidents happen. This was definitely an accident.â
Tenko doesnât answer. He takes a few sips of hot chocolate, and Mon picks her head up to snuffle the cup. âHey. No. Thatâs bad for you.â Mon gives the bottom of the cup an exploratory lick. âWe have treats at home. If I let you have this sheâll think Iâm a moron.â
âIâd have a hard time saying no to her,â you say. You sit down one chair away from him. âIf you hadnât told me you got her two months ago, I never would have guessed. You guys seem really bonded already.â
âYeah.â Tenko adjusts his grip on her. Heâs quieter when he speaks again. âI feel like shit right now. She knows to work when I get upset, but I donât want her to get upset and worry about me when sheâs hurt. So then I get upset because Iâm making her work, and â yeah.â
âSheâll feel better if you let her help you,â you say. Youâre confident in that one. âMy dog does, anyway.â
âYou have a service dog? Where is it?â
âSheâs a therapy dog,â you say. Tenko gives you a suspicious look. âNot an ESA. She and I did a bunch of extra training and I take her on visits to places â hospitals, schools, libraries, that kind of thing. When weâre not on visits, sheâs a pet. An incredibly spoiled pet.â
âDo you have a picture?â
People with sick pets donât usually ask about your pet. Then again, you donât usually tell people with sick pets that youâve got one, too. âYeah. Um, here. Thatâs her.â
Tenko glances at your phone, and to your shock, he cracks a smile. âPeople must go crazy for her on visits. There was a golden in team training when I went through. Everybody wanted him but me.â
You should keep Tenko talking anyway â itâs best practice â but you also really want to know. âHow does it work, getting matched with a dog? Do they let you pick?â
Tenko shakes his head. âYou work with a bunch of different dogs in the first week. Theyâre all trained like Mon is. The trainers want to see which one you click with. Mon was the third one I worked with.â
âAnd you got along right away?â
âShe kept getting in trouble.â Thereâs a note of pride in Tenkoâs voice, and it only takes you a moment to understand why. âEven when she was working with other people, she kept pulling to get back to me.â
âShe picked you out,â you say, and Tenko nods. Heâs smiling slightly again. âI can tell you guys have something really special. And that you take really good care of her.â
Mon finally quits trying to get into the hot chocolate and settles back with her head against Tenkoâs chest. Tenko glances at you. âWhat do you do here, anyway? Iâve been watching you run around all night and I still canât figure it out.â
âIâm a patient support specialist,â you explain. âI can do triage, but mainly I try to help people get through pet emergencies in one piece. It gets kind of hard in here.â
âWhatever they pay you, itâs not enough.â
âI donât get paid,â you say. âI volunteer.â
Tenko looks surprised. âYou do this for free?â
Before you can answer, someone bangs on the door. You jump, but it startles Tenko enough that he spills some hot chocolate on his hand, which Mon promptly slurps up. You open the door, ready to give hell to whoever spooked them both. âHey, can you keep it down?â
âSorry. Fukukado said you were in here, and ââ Tamaki leans against the doorframe, breathing hard. âYou know the monitor lizard? Itâs, uh â not.â
âWhat is it, then?â
âWe donât really know,â Tamaki says. âBut it got out.â
Oh. âAnybody whoâs not with a patient has to go help,â Tamaki says. âLike now.â
You are with a patient. You glance at Tenko, who looks ever so slightly entertained. âMe and Mon arenât going anywhere,â he says. âGo get your lizard.â
You get to your feet. âSit tight. Iâll be back soon.â
You arenât back soon. Youâre back an hour later, bruised and tired, your hand wrapped in an ice pack and an ace bandage. You make the mistake of knocking on the door to Exam 10 with it, and you get a shock when Tenko opens the door rather than just hollering for you to come in. Heâs not carrying Mon, and you ask where he is at the same moment as he asks you a question of his own. âWhat happened to you?â
âIs Mon okay?â
âThey brought her a bed and some pain stuff.â Tenko opens the door to show you, and you spot Mon on the exam table in a dog bed, swaddled in a blanket and so doped up on painkillers that she can barely keep her eyes open. âTheyâre gonna do x-rays later. Did you get the lizard?â
âIt got me,â you say. Tenkoâs eyes widen as he studies your bandaged hand. âAnd it wasnât a lizard.â
âWhat was it, then â a dragon?â
âA Komodo dragon,â you say. âBut close.â
âArenât those things supposed to be giant?â Tenko says. âHow did that guy fit it in that box?â
âThis one was a juvenile. Is a juvenile. We didnât hurt it or anything.â You donât think any of you were capable of hurting it. It was running circles around you. âItâs still really big. And fast.â
âAnd it took you guys an hour to catch it,â Tenko muses. âI was wondering what all the yelling was about.â
You and the others were really trying to keep the yelling to a minimum. You wince. âWe had to find it first, and once we did, we had to catch it â but it was really aggressive, so it started biting, and then it got away again. Rinse and repeat about ten times.â
Tenko snickers. âI wish I could have seen it. More of it than I did, anyway.â
âWhat do you mean?â
âI cracked the door open. Some guy was chasing it down the hall,â Tenko says. âIt was pretty funny when it started chasing him back the other way.â
Dr. Sorahiko is the oldest vet in the ER, and heâs gotten kind of mean in his old age. You donât feel bad for laughing. âYouâre probably going to see the rest of it on TikTok or something. Or on the news. They showed up when Animal Control did.â
âDoes that kind of thing happen a lot around here?â
âNo,â you say. âUsually when we have a wild night, itâs a different kind of wild.â
âSo no bites from a giant lizard,â Tenko says. You shake your head. âYou and Mon match now. Maybe we can get two x-rays for the price of one.â
You smile at the thought, then remember something the front desk told you to pass along. âTheyâre discounting services for everybody tonight, because of the â disruption. Even if Mon gets x-rays and a splint and everything, youâll probably only get charged the exam fee.â
âGood.â Tenko looks relieved. âMon gets whatever she needs, when she needs it, but I was gonna be eating instant ramen for a month so I could make rent.â
âA lot of people who bring their pets in here say stuff like that.â You prop your bitten hand against your shoulder to elevate it. The bite didnât break the skin, but it still hurts a lot. âThatâs part of why I like being here. People are awful in outpatient.â
âTheyâre awful here, too. I sucked.â
âYou werenât even close to the worst person Iâve talked to,â you say. You remember a guy whose dog needed a leg amputation telling you heâd break your neck if she died on the operating table. He got kicked out, but the vets still operated on his dog, and as far as you know, she made a full recovery. âBut people here â they arenât being assholes just because they can. Theyâre really worried about their animals, because they care about them so much, and Iâve never seen somebody handle that well without help. If I ever have to bring my dog in here, Iâll be a wreck just like everyone else.â
âWorse than everybody else,â Tenko says. You glance at him, puzzled. âYouâre not going to have a you around to help out.â
âYeah,â you say. The thought is weirdly dispiriting. Not only will you be in here with no patient outreach specialist, youâre going to be in here all alone. Your family lives in a different prefecture, most of your friends have their own lives to deal with, and itâs not like you have a partner who could come with you. You havenât gone on a date in a long time. âItâs going to suck.â
âIf it ever happens, me and Mon will hang out with you,â Tenko says, and you nearly fall out of your chair. âShe helps me. She wonât mind helping you, too.â
Before you can even think about addressing that, thereâs a quick knock on the door, and Dr. Fukukado steps in. âHey, sorry about the wait,â she says earnestly. âMini-Godzilla was zipping around out here and he was tough to catch. Weâve got it under control, obviously, but â hey, you need to go home. Everybody who got hurt has to clock out.â
âIâm a volunteer. I donât have to do anything,â you say. âI can stick around as long as I need to.â
Youâve put the ball back in Tenkoâs court, which you feel is the patient-centered thing to do, especially when youâre technically still on shift. But patient-centered or not, you donât want to leave just yet. Youâve gotten a little protective over these two, and by the time you go home and hug your own dog, you want to know that Tenko and his dog are going to be okay.
âStick around,â Tenko says after a moment, and your heart lifts in a way it really shouldnât. âSomebody needs to replace Mon when she goes for her x-rays.â
He wants you to be his service dog? âSure, but Iâm not going to lick your face.â
Tenko laughs at that â actually laughs â and the lightness in your chest grows a little harder to ignore. You like making people feel better, and you like it more than you should that he wants you around a little while longer. Itâs not often that you have a night like this one at work. The Komodo dragon bite is going to be the better story, the kind youâll tell your friends about, or your parents the next time you call home. But hanging out with Tenko Shimura and Mon for the rest of your shift is what youâre going to remember.

Whether your pet is dealing with separation anxiety, fear of thunderstorms, or other stress-related behaviors, acupuncture promotes relaxation and emotional balance, helping your pet feel more at ease and improving their overall mental well-being.
Improved Pet Mobility and Flexibility
If your pet is struggling with joint pain or mobility issues, pet acupuncture can make a significant difference. By stimulating circulation, reducing inflammation, and promoting healing, acupuncture helps improve your petâs movement and flexibility. This is especially beneficial for older pets or those recovering from injuries, enhancing their comfort and mobility.
Enhancing Overall Pet Health and Vitality
Acupuncture isnât just for treating specific ailments; it also supports your petâs overall health. Regular treatments can help strengthen the immune system, increase energy levels, and improve vitality. By promoting balance within your petâs body, acupuncture helps maintain long-term wellness, keeping them active, happy, and healthy throughout their life.
How Pet Acupuncture Can Help Your Furry Friend Feel Better
Acupuncture is becoming a popular treatment for pets dealing with a variety of health issues. This ancient therapy can bring relief to pets suffering from pain, inflammation, or stress. Whether your pet has arthritis, hip dysplasia, or chronic pain, acupuncture helps stimulate the bodyâs natural healing mechanisms. Itâs a gentle, non-invasive treatment option that aims to improve circulation, ease tension, and restore balance. By targeting specific acupoints on the body, the therapy encourages the release of natural painkillers, like endorphins, that help your pet feel more comfortable.
For pets experiencing anxiety or emotional distress, acupuncture can also help calm their nervous system. It provides relief from stress-related behaviors and promotes a sense of calm and relaxation. This holistic approach can enhance your petâs quality of life by offering a safe alternative to medication.
The Science Behind Acupuncture: How It Works for Pets
Acupuncture works by stimulating specific points on the body, known as acupoints, which correspond to pathways of energy. These energy pathways, called meridians, are believed to influence various systems within the body. When needles are gently inserted into the acupoints, they trigger responses in the nervous system and promote healing. In pets, acupuncture can address conditions ranging from pain and inflammation to digestive problems and anxiety.
The process works by improving blood flow, increasing the production of natural pain-relieving chemicals, and enhancing overall body function. Itâs a holistic approach that doesnât just mask symptoms but works to address the root causes of discomfort or illness. Over time, regular acupuncture sessions can lead to long-term improvement in your petâs health and well-being.
Common Conditions That Benefit from Pet Acupuncture
Pet acupuncture is effective for treating a wide range of conditions, both physical and emotional. For pets suffering from chronic pain or arthritis, acupuncture can provide significant relief by reducing inflammation and improving joint mobility. Itâs also beneficial for pets recovering from surgery or injury, promoting faster healing and reducing scar tissue formation.
Additionally, acupuncture is commonly used to manage conditions like gastrointestinal issues, skin disorders, and respiratory problems. Pets with anxiety, fear, or behavioral issues can benefit from acupuncture to promote relaxation and a sense of well-being. Whether your pet has a specific health concern or youâre simply looking to improve their overall wellness, acupuncture can offer lasting benefits and improve their quality of life.
What to Expect During Your Petâs Acupuncture Session
During an acupuncture session, your pet will be comfortably positioned, and small, thin needles will be inserted into specific acupoints on their body. Most pets find the procedure relatively painless and may even relax during the treatment. The acupuncturist will monitor your pet throughout the session to ensure they remain comfortable and at ease. Sessions typically last 20 to 30 minutes, depending on the petâs condition.
Before beginning treatment, the veterinarian will conduct a thorough examination of your petâs medical history, symptoms, and lifestyle. Based on this information, theyâll develop a personalized acupuncture plan tailored to your petâs needs. Afterward, your pet may experience some mild soreness or fatigue, but this is temporary and often indicates the body is responding to the treatment. With regular sessions, your pet can experience significant improvement in their overall health.
Is Pet Acupuncture Safe? Understanding the Risks and Benefits
Pet acupuncture is considered a safe and effective treatment when performed by a licensed veterinary professional. The needles used in acupuncture are very thin and sterilized, reducing the risk of infection or injury. As a non-invasive therapy, it carries minimal risk, making it an appealing alternative to medications or surgery.
While most pets experience no adverse effects, there are a few potential risks, such as mild soreness at the acupuncture sites or temporary fatigue. Itâs important to monitor your pet after each session and inform your veterinarian of any unusual behavior. Overall, the benefits of acupuncture, such as pain relief, improved mobility, and reduced stress, far outweigh the minimal risks. Itâs always best to consult with a vet experienced in acupuncture to ensure your petâs safety and well-being.
How Often Should Your Pet Receive Acupuncture Treatment?
The frequency of acupuncture treatments depends on your petâs specific condition and overall health. For pets with chronic conditions, such as arthritis or pain management issues, weekly sessions may be recommended at first to achieve noticeable results. As your petâs condition improves, the frequency can often be reduced to bi-weekly or monthly sessions.
For pets undergoing acupuncture for general wellness or stress management, monthly treatments may be sufficient to maintain balance and keep their energy levels in check. Your veterinarian will assess your petâs progress and adjust the treatment schedule accordingly. Consistency is key, and your veterinarian will provide guidance on the ideal treatment plan to ensure your pet gets the best results possible.
Finding the Right Veterinarian for Acupuncture Services
When choosing a veterinarian for acupuncture services, itâs essential to look for someone with experience in holistic or integrative medicine. Ideally, they should have formal training in veterinary acupuncture, which is offered through accredited programs and certifications. A skilled acupuncturist will understand how to tailor treatments based on your petâs health condition and temperament.
Itâs also important to select a veterinary clinic that values open communication and takes the time to explain the acupuncture process. A good acupuncturist will work closely with you to create a treatment plan that aligns with your petâs specific needs and goals. Ask for recommendations from other pet owners or your primary vet to find someone you trust to care for your furry companion.

Tag, Youâre It | Ethan Landry | iii.
Happy, carefree college days meet their abrupt end when every guy who approaches you mysteriously turns up dead.
Warnings: NON-CON, Stalking, Bimbo!Reader, Clueless Reader, Loss of Virginity, Incel Ethan, Cheerleader Reader, Skin Carving (w/knife), Canon Typical Slashing, Voyeurism, Kidnapping, Forced Masturbation, Filming, Blackmail
This is a dark story. Heed warnings before reading under the cut.
đđđđđđ đđđđđđđđđđ
"Where the hell were you last night?"
You gasp as Chad slams Ethan against a tree harshly.Â
"I-I had a family emergency," the brunette stammers, chestnut eyes rounding as they bounce between Chad and the group. "You can check the hospitalâs visitorâs log. Thatâs where I was."
Chadâs jaw clenches, his grip on Ethanâs lapels tightening. "Bullshit, man," he rumbles. "You disappear and my friend gets hurt."
You heave out a weary sigh, rubbing your aching eyes. You didnât sleep a wink last night. Still, thereâs one thing youâre clear-minded about.Â
The emergency meeting Mindy called outdoors wasnât supposed to be about turning on each other.Â
A frown carves your brow as you rise from the bench and make your way to your friend. You put a hand on Chadâs shoulder. Despite still having Ethan in half a chokehold, he eases under your touch.
"Chad, come on," you coax him, your tone soft. "Ethan wouldnât." You turn to the rest of your group.Â
Taraâs expression is skeptical. Quinn looks puzzled. Anika carries an air of caution.Â
And MindyâŠher gaze is narrowed in suspicion as she gauges Ethan from her spot a few feet away. You lick your lips and argue, "Besides, you said you guys vetted both him and Quinn, right?"
Chad gives Ethan one long harsh stare before releasing him.Â
"True," he says.Â
Ethan staggers back, a careful eye trained on his roommate.Â
The breath confined in your lungs flows out in relief.Â
Mindy hums, her expression unchanged as she crosses her arms over her chest.Â
"Doesnât matter. Everyoneâs a suspect," she maintains. When Ethan brushes past her, she shoves him away. "Get your Ghostface ass away from me, Ghostface."
A dejected Ethan finds a seat on the bench opposite Tara and Chad. You go sit near him. As your fingers graze his arm in an attempt to comfort him, Ethan startles, his eyes enlarging at your actions.Â
"Iâm sorry about this," you mumble. In the background, Mindy gets engulfed in an impassioned spiel regarding how to survive horror films. Itâs almost like sheâs waited her entire life for this moment. You only grant her half an ear, your mind still plagued by the horror of last night. If it werenât for Mindy dragging you out of bed this morning, youâre convinced itâs where youâd still beâŠnestled in the safety of your blankets and stuffed animals. "Weâre all a little on edge."
Ethan gives a lopsided, bashful smile.
"Itâs okay. Iâm new to the friend group." His thick dark brows collide into each other as hesitation flutters on his boyish face. He points at himself and stutters, "A-Am I in the friend group?"
A bright smile unfurls on your face with ease. You squeeze his arm in reassurance as his bewildered gaze remains glued to you.Â
"Yes you are, Ethan."
The memorial held in Connor's honor flies by in a blur, as you're too shell-shocked to register most of what's going on.Â
After a mere few minutes of attendance, you flee back to your dorm, discomfort stirring in your gut beneath the suspicious glares of other students.Â
Not very many people encounter one of the infamous killer's incarnations and live to tell the tale.Â
It's pandemonium on campus, panic permeating the air now that Ghostface has returnedâŠand not even in Woodsboro, but right here at Blackmore university.Â
The rest of the week is worse, hollow and strange. You find yourself questioning the reality of the gruesome scene you witnessed.Â
And each time you close your eyes, you relive it. Each time you're transported back to that night. You're shivering on the cold cobblestones, still damp from the afternoon rain, face warm with splatters of Connor's blood.Â
Prey awaiting your fate.Â
If it weren't for Mindy and the others, you might have gone insane.Â
While the dean advised you to go to counseling, you can't bring yourself to do it. At least not yet. All of it is too fresh. Talking about it terrifies you, so you burrow yourself in denial.
And there's also the guilt gnawing at you everyday. You did nothing.Â
You cowered, weak and pathetic, while a boy got murdered a few feet away from you.Â
It doesn't matter how many times Tara tries to cheer you up about it, reassuring you that you reacted as best you could, a scalding, immovable layer of shame coats your insides.
Still, you try to move on, reclaim a modicum of normalcy.Â
Connorâs dead. No amount of tears and what-ifs will bring him back.Â
Itâs how you wind up in front of your vanity on Friday night, putting the finishing touches to your hair and makeup before you go out to meet with the cheer squad.Â
While youâre not too keen on going out, Alana, the team captain, insisted that you need to participate in the trust-building exercises she has planned for the night.Â
So you wiped your tears, rose from bed and picked one of your cutest outfits in order to comply with her wishes.Â
Besides, Alana has a point. A big match is around the corner and youâd resent yourself if you disturbed the pyramid, or even the synchronicity of the squadâs dance routineâŠall because youâre too distracted.Â
Cheerleading might be silly to some but to you itâs a huge part of your life, one youâre proud of. You like being part of a team. You like being surrounded by friends. You like boosting morale during matches.
Youâll never be the smartest girl in the room but youâre a damn good cheerleader at least.Â
As you gauge your reflection, satisfaction blooms inside you. You artfully concealed every sign of sleep deprivation.
You want to display a resilient, happy facade.Â
The onset of a smile unfans on your lips but the unexpected buzzing of your phone yanks your focus.Â
You pick it up from above the sink.
As you check your phone, your brows crumple in dismay. The number calling is unknown.Â
Still, you donât mull over the weirdness and respond right away, curious who could be trying to reach you at such a late hour.Â
"Hello?" you greet, your tone airy.
"Hey, princess. Wanna play a game?" A guttural voice teases on the other side of the phone.Â
The breath stumbles in your throat. Your pulse goes haywire.
"I-Itâs you," you croak, the room swirling around you as you wobble out of the bathroom.
Your clammy hand clutches the phone. Quickly you remove it from your ear, intent on calling 911 but the stranger tuts you, disapproval dripping from his gravelly timbre. "Ah, donât even try calling the policeâŠor Iâm going to get upset. Very upset." You freeze. A raucous chuckle vibrates against your cheek. "And I donât need to tell you the kind of things I do when Iâm upset, pretty girl."
Fear echoes through your trembling voice.Â
"WhatâŠWhat do you want from me?"
He laughs again, and itâs raspier this time, playful almost.
"What do I want from you? God, you really are the sweetest thing, you know that? All soft and innocent and just clueless as fuck."
You donât know why but his words are like a punch in the gut. You feel small, stupid. Tears bead under your lashes.Â
"Like, I said, princessâŠI want to play a game."
"I donât want to play any game, please," you whimper, shaking your head.Â
He hums lowly as the clamor of your wild heartbeats fills your ears.Â
"Take a look at what I just sent, princess."
Dread spreads down the length of your spine. Stomach tight, you follow his instructions. You gasp. Thereâs a notification from an app you donât even remember downloading at the very top of your screen.Â
Your quivering thumb taps the message.Â
A new window opens and a video starts playing.
Your hand flies to your mouth, an errant tear streaming down your face.Â
"They make such a cute couple, donât they?" the killer chimes, waving his knife in front of the camera heâs using to film Mindy and Anika from afar. "Would be tragic if something was to rip them apart."Â
A shudder rushes through your frame, bile leaping to your throat as it seems like you might throw up any second.Â
Clearly heâs standing outside the window of their shared apartment, close enough to cause them harm, and taunting you with that fact.Â
"Please, donât hurt them," you sob, more tears skipping down your cheeks.Â
He snorts. "But I donât have toâŠas long as you play my little game. Or I can just end it now if you prefer."
"No! Iâll play. Iâll play, I promise."
Your swift reply draws another amused sound from him.Â
"Good girl," he lauds.Â
For a reason you canât fathom, his tone elicits a strange tickle somewhere in your center.Â
His inflection deepens. "Just do everything I say and itâll all be fine."
You nod frenetically, forgetting that he canât see you.Â
"Now, lock the door and get on your bed." He pauses as if he just remembered something. "Hm, itâs great that your roommate is spending the night at her boyfriendâs, right? Gives you and I the chance for some quality time with each other, princess."
Feet shaking, you teeter to your bed, shocked that he would even know something like this.
Suddenly, you donât feel safe in your own room anymore.Â
Your chest tightens.Â
"You see that teddy bear next to your pillow?" Your mouth drops, your gaze traveling to your stuffed bear. Itâs like heâs right there with you, breath ghosting over the back of your neck. "Itâs your favorite, right? I know it is because Iâve watched you for so long. You hold it close to your heart whenever youâre sad." Your shock grows, a surge of unease swelling within you. Your hand squeezes around your mouth, more tears spilling.Â
Calmly, the killer orders, "I need you to put Teddy at the end of the bed."
"Why?" you squeak, brows knitting in confusion.Â
"Because I want to get a good view of your pretty little pussy when you show it to me, silly," he sings.
Heat gathers in your cheeks. "W-What?"
"Just do as I say and donât worry your pretty head about it," he rasps, voice softer than before.Â
You heed his command, collecting your bear to place it at the end of your bed.Â
Ice scatters in your veins. Itâs probably stupid but the beady black eyes of the bear youâve had for years, usually a source of comfort, drill holes into your skin today.Â
As if he were peering right into your soulâŠwhich is silly, so you discard the thought.Â
"Donât hurt my friends, please."
"I wonât if you give me no reason to."
"I promise. Iâll be so good..."
A throaty sound between a moan and a sigh oozing satisfaction ripples in your ear. "Thatâs what I like to hear," he croons. "See, everything will be fine as long as you listen to me, princess. No need to try and think. Just be a doll and do exactly what I tell you."
Silence stretches as you shiver on your duvet.Â
His next words draw a tearful gasp from you.Â
"Lift your skirt and remove your panties."
Weeping, you do what he asks. Your fingers quake at the edge of your panties as you pull them down your legs.Â
"Yes. Such a good girl." His timbre is hoarse with lust. "What a cute pair, did you wear this for me, pretty girl?"
"IâŠ" Your sentence trails off in a strangled sob as youâre unsure what answer he desires from you. You donât want to end up blurting out the wrong thing and endangering your friends.Â
So you play along.Â
"Lie back on the bed and open your legs for me, princess."
Despite being alone in your room with only your stuffed animal as witness, you feel vulnerable as you part your thighs and expose your slit. Your center tingles as cool air hits it.
"Fuck, youâre gorgeous. Wider." Embarrassment surges within you as your lower lips are spread, displaying your wet folds. "Hm, even wider. Donât be shy, show me everything. I want to picture what being inside you will feel like, princess."

Just one of those days
As he rounded the corner of Flourish & Blotts, he had to physically restrain himself from running through the streets to Borgin & Burkes like a final lap on his way to victory. Nothing could derail him from passing this gauntlet; nothing except the horrifying screams of Hermione Granger in excruciating pain, Draco heard the guttural shrieks in his nightmares enough to recognize them without a doubt. They were coming from inside Flourish & Blotts, now chorused by the shouting of patrons in shock. âShe's been splinched!â, âIs anybody a mediwizard?â, âIs that Hermione Granger?â Draco ran inside, pushing through a small circle of shoppers that had gathered around her. âMOVE!â âSomeone Floo St. Mungo's!â âNO!â Hermione's roar cut through the gathering crowd. She was lying on the ground, scrunched in the fetal position, pressing something into her side. âGranger!â Draco dropped to the floor next to her, trying to quickly assess how she'd been hurt. âTake me to the London Zoo!â She groaned. Was it her brain that got splinched? âYou need to go to St. Mungo's.â Draco told her. âNO! Don't take me there.â She sounded desperate and she was looking at him like she did that night in the parlor of Malfoy Manor. âOk. No St. Mungo's.â He agreed, trying to think of something other than the zoo. âWhat about a muggle hospital?â âNo! No strangers. Take me to Luna!â "She works with animals, not people!" Draco couldn't see her wound. âWhere are you hurt?â âMy ribs.â Draco could tell now that it was a blood-soaked jumper she was holding against her side. "She's still better than anyone at healing spells." âFine, where's your cell? I'll call her. I can't apparate with you like this, you'll be split in two.â âShe doesn't keep her cell on near the animals.â âMerlin's fucking Beard, Granger! You're bleeding out, we have to do something.â âCast a bandaging charm and call a cab.â âMove your hands.â Draco ordered, discarded the bloody jumper from atop her, and ripped her shirt to expose the full wound. He steeled himself, intent on remaining composed at the sight of her like that, but his heart raced. Hermione had a hole in her side the size of a cricket ball and seemed to be missing several ribs. âFerula!â Gauze shot from his wand and expertly wrapped around Hermione's abdomen. âYou're not taking a 20 minute cab ride to the damn zoo.â He scooped her up into his arms. âGet the fuck out of my way, you vultures!â He shoved past the shameless, rubbernecking mob. Draco jogged her back to The Leaky Cauldron with her wincing and moaning in pain at the drop of every bound. âWhere are you taking me?â Hermione asked when he brought her to the back floo. âI'm sorry.â Was all he replied before tossing the powder and stepping them into peridot flames. âMalfoy Manor!â Draco hadn't flooed into the Manor since before Azkaban, but he wasn't thinking about his usual compulsion to physically pass its gates. Instead, he was monitoring the reaction of the witch cradled against his chest as they emerged from the ivory stone pillars lining the hearth and stepped into the parlor. Hermione took one look at where they were, whispered to herself âWhy today?â, then passed out in his arms.

hurt/comfort & fluff
leon kennedy x gender neutral reader

leon is calm under pressure, extraordinarily soïżŒ. so when he gets the call that you were in the ICU, being rushed into emergency surgery he didnât panic.
he thinks first and deals with the emotions later.
he details in his mind how to get to you- what hospital are you in, does he need to bring anything for you?
youâre out of the state- so he has to fly to you. because of his connections working for the united stateâs government- heâs able to get an emergency plane ticket right away.
he has a few hours to kill, so he impatiently circles your shared home, thinking what could he bring for you.
he doesnât allow his mindïżŒ to think if your gonna make it out alive. only when you make it out.
he can only assume your clothing is tattered and bloodied, probably cut off of you.
he packs you some clothes, and some of your favorite things. like the little stuffed bear he bought you for your birthday.
on the plane he sits restlessly- checking the time over and over. youâre the only thing on his mind, he wishes he could hold your hand and tell you everything is going to be all right. he wonders if youâre scared. he hates that youâre alone.
upon landing he takes a cab to the hospital, he hands the driver a $100 bill and tells him to make it quick.
leon waits in the lobby of the emergency room, the blast of anxiety finally hitting him. the stifled cries of pain from other people waiting to be seen are overwhelming to him.
itâs when leon gets to see you that his emotions catch up to him. his sense of calm finally cracking the moment he sees you hooked up to machines in a hospital bed.
his blue eyes glassy from the tears welling up.
he kneels by your bedside- stroking your arm down to your hand. resting his head on the bed, watching you sleep.
he tucks the stuffed animal under your other arm- hoping to comfort you when you awake.
he talks to you even though youâre asleep, âi love you, youâre so strong- you got this, dear.â
please, please, please make it for me. i wonât let you leave me this way.
he attentively watches everything they do to you, every test that is ran and every medication that is administered.
leon gives you his unwavering support. wishing he can take the pain away. protect you from all harm. make life easier for you.
he knows your a fighter. hell, you wouldnât be in this situation if it werenât for your determined nature. but that in no way helps his urge to protect you.
when you wake up, you smile. a smile of warmth, full of surprise.
âleon? youâre here? how?â
âshhshh take it easy honey, im here- youâre here. thatâs all that matters.â âĄ
âŠ
i wrote a fic inspired by this little blurb- check it out if you enjoyed this one!! -> tender
