( It honestly feels like a lifetime ago?? But I recall admiring your art so much and the amount of effort and love you put into Maiilys — at the time we were of the very few OCs in the fandom so it was nice to see someone else that draws their muse and icons and everything and is as passionate about their creation~ )

( I know we don’t talk much but I think I’ve always held a certain amount of respect for you and your art and enjoy seeing you and your interactions on the dash and everything. 1: Origins! How did you come up with the concept for your OC? //because i literally am way too curious as to how people come up with their precious OCs OwO

Way back when, Cleo’s creation was for the purpose of countering Doflamingo. I made her back in 2011, so at the time, we knew nothing about feather brain. Plus, I thought it would be a fun challenge doing a pairing with a character with little info on them. I wanted her to be someone that could handle him and not take whatever crap he thought he could carry out. Sure, the docile and innocent approach is OK however, I thought that was a bit over used when it came to dealing with characters like him. But, so is the “Miss Independent I can do Bad all by Myself” shtick. The latter option was more appropriate in my opinion. I didn’t think he needed sweet and tender, just a foot on his neck. Yet a foot he wouldn’t mind on his neck though. He’s not the type to let just anyone do that lol 

Her being a fashion designer, well, I just wanted an excuse to draw pretty clothes xD I kid. I didn’t want something so complicated for an occupation. Character design wise, she was inspired by a couple of characters from One Piece. Funny enough, she almost had long hair but decided against later. It wasn’t as imposing as I would liked. Her desired appearance was to be sharp and clean cut.

I could delve more but, then I would be speaking about her pairing dynamic. ; w ; But there you have it! Cleo’s upbringing~

     "Maiilys?!” The name escaped the inspector’s lips startled by the sudden force coming from the woman who just grabbed his wrist, pulling him into the closest place were they could have some privacy. Once they did, and without any gentleness from his part, he yanked his hand away from her hold, throwing at her with disbelief. “What is the meaning of this?!”

                   ‘ I’m really sorry, miss!! Carue is clumsy sometimes!!! ‘    the simple fact her duck-friend bumped onto a complete stranger so suddenly while running back to the city wasn’t exactly common, though Vivi could count a few situations like this before. Running away from a giant lizard shouldn’t be so hard for one of the fastest creatures on this earth, but it still wouldn’t keep him from getting really scared.

Dammit.

He’d gotten into another fight, and it hadn’t ended too well for him. The guy he’d picked a fight with was stronger than he’d anticipated, and Mig wound up walking away from it with several wounds.

It wasn’t anything he couldn’t really handle. That is, except for the giant gash across his chest. If Samson had been there to see this, the poor guy probably would have died from worry. And Paige probably would not have been much better. For their sakes, Mig decided to take a detour and visit a doctor.

He knew her a little, not particularly well. They’d crossed paths before on this island, a while ago, and she hadn’t been too bad a doctor. He was pretty sure he knew where he was going, and where he could find her.

Clutching the gash on his chest, Mig made his way to her location. Damn, this place seemed quite out-of-the-way, didn’t it? And when he arrived at the place, he practically slammed himself against the door, in lieu of knocking. He was lucky he hadn’t knocked in the door, but he was rather desperate and probably not thinking the straightest.

“Hey! You in there?” he shouted. “I need a hand!”

She's surprised how Choppy seems to be able to eat unlimited ammounts of sweets without any apparent consequences.

What Maiilys never sees is the aftermath. Blue tongues, tummy aches, sugar crash induced naps. 

That, and Rina burns off a lot of calories. The crew takes tag VERY SERIOUS.

Unfortunately for Maiilys, he wasn’t allergic to blue poppies. Fortunately for Jonathan, he happened to use that very flower as an ingredient in his fear toxin.

“How did you know these were my favorite kind of flower, Maiilys? I guess you do care after all!” Why, yes, he is playing up his glee for the sake of being annoying, how did you know?

I want to talk about @emeraldowl, through the years Chenny has come and gone into the fandom but one thing never ever changed and that was the love and dedication she forever has for her OC. Maiilys remains even after all this time the very same well developed character, that kind of persistence to a character is hard to find but also she's a character with history, a story, a personality, you just can't help but notice the depth and infinite hours of development invested into her. Keep rocking!

     "Excuse me?” The inspector turned around to face the doctor who was standing right in front of him. Cursing into his mind for the women’s sans-gêne, before realising he was still shirtless, in the process of getting rid of the bloodied one. A situation which would be deemed improper and he’d rather avoid being the laughing-stock of his colleagues if one surprised them in this situation. Quick on the move, he leaned towards the desk drawer, pulling out a clean shirt  to put it on his back, a sigh escaping his lips. “Do you ever knock before entering a room?” He asked, moving towards the door to close it behind her while he was finishing sliding the shirt inside his pants, belt locked. 

     “Miss Paracelsus, are you coming back with anything useful for he case?“ Maiilys was hardly a woman prone to spontaneous social visits, so he quickly regretted the question which had an obvious answer, still, he would do anything to move on from the last-minute awkwardness and leaving the answer to her question for another time.
