This scene really stood out to me when I first saw it in theaters. It felt like the party was the first time we were presented with wide shots that actually demonstrated the height difference between Oliver and Felix/Farleigh. It's as if now that everything is out in the open, it's all the more blatant how small and innocent Oliver tries to present himself - and it's just not working.

The image of him as a changling or 'other' felt really effective throughout the entire night. I kept getting the sense that he was a creature that'd stalked out of the woods and was trying to lull me into complacency. And I love the fact that it's so blatant, because it means Oliver's either doing a Bad Job or he just doesn't care anymore as everything starts to unravel.

Ok I finally saw the trailer for the new Gladiator movie!! I'm honestly really excited for it. Something about it feels reminiscent of the late 2000s? I'm not sure if it's the cinematography or coloring or practical/CGI balance. Regardless, it feels at odds with a cast of such current actors (in a fun way) and I'm excited to see how that plays out.
