A Cast of Gems

Today, I had the pleasure of shooting "A Winter Wedding" with these wonderful women on location in Big Bear.

And, yes - OF COURSE - I took thematic, movie title donuts.

It's what I do.

And, while I was only shooting with these particular four women for the day, I leave today, taking away something from each and every one of them.

Susan Walters Ashby showed me that a beauty you've admired your whole life can be even more beautiful in person. I first saw her years ago when I used to watch her in the iconic role of (my favorite!!)Priscilla Presley, when I would watch the TV movie, "Elvis & Me" on repeat. To meet her - and, find her to be brilliant, talented and full of kind recommendations and referrals just filled my starstruck heart with glee.

✨ I have seen Jane Sibbett over the years onscreen, most memorably to me on 

FRIENDS (TV Show), and was always struck by how relaxed and at ease she appeared on camera, and I found her to be just the most soothing, relaxing personality I've ever been around on a set. She heals people with her mere presence, soul and gifts.

I think many of us watched Andrea Bowen grow up before our eyes on Desperate Housewives, and seeing her today as the lead in this film, calling forth true emotion every single take inspired me and made me feel very fortunate to get to work with her.

And, sweet, sweet Brooke Butler.Well, gosh, she sure is fun! And, did I mention sweet? When I came in today, armed with about 3 dozen donuts, 1 turquoise suitcase and a weekend bag (yes, I'm headed somewhere else tonight), she didn't even hesitate to grab everything I was carrying it and carry it in for me. See? Sweet.

And, then, there's that creepy smiling guy in the window - the kindest, most encouraging director known to actors: Jake Helgren

I am just so grateful that Jake invited me to play in another one of his parties, filled with the most talented and creative of folks.

He is just a guy you never, ever want to let down...because he never lets you down.

As I'm driven down the mountain to stay in Lake Arrowhead tonight at

, I am in a state of utter bliss from meeting all of these inspiring women.

And, I am so, SO grateful.
