"what do you mean the... — oh shit?" that was, admittedly, one of the last thing he'd expected her to say. sure, there had been plenty of strange things going on in the world lately but for their local disturbances to be caused by someone he knows? completely out there. "are we just gonna skirt over the fact that you just dumped superhero shit on me? why can't you control it now? has it always been that way?"

"ugh. okay." minhee groans softly, tucking her knees up to her chest and wrapping arms around them. another deep breath before she feels she's able to finally speak. "you know the . . . stuff in the news lately? about the freezes and such? that's. uh . . . me. it's my fault." she frowns softly, almost embarrassed her words. "my powers have been . . . well. i don't have much control sometimes."

"look, you can't just say that and then be all like ooh noooo, i don't wanna tellll youuuu," elliot quips with a roll of his eyes. they've known each other long enough that exchanging secrets shouldn't be a big deal. well, depending on the secret, he supposes. "just tell me."
